Hello everyone and welcome to the TDV (Tour de Vizzed) Summer 2016 Team Competition! I will be your host for this season.

(Also contains updated information about when/how you can be DQ'd for the whole month so please read)

The Teams!

This time, the teams will be based on your position/power level.

There will be "The Moderators" team who are local moderators, global moderators, administrators, and the site owner.

There will be "The Veterans and Staff" team who are Site staff and Vizzed Elite.

There will be "The Trusted Community" team who are Trusted Members, Members, and Newbies.

You can see your position on your profile. Let's see how a small team of very hard working moderators+, the experienced veterans and hard working staff, and the rest of the great community would turn out in this competition!

I will posts the daily results as soon as I can once the main results are posted. If you notice any errors, missing info... etc, please don't hesitate to let me know! (I'll try my best to avoid errors) Feel free to ask any questions you may have!

(Note- If I place in the top 5 for the yellow jersey today, I will be sure to have this post's words ignored. Also, I know this wasn't the best idea, but me and Davideo7 discussed this in comet chat and decided to do this idea. We were running out of ideas and we couldn't wait much longer.)

Gross I'm stuck with a bunch of noobs amazing people. Woo let's go. I'm going to switch my layout I used for the last TdV Team competition heh. It may not fit since it's a unique name, but whatever.

So, uh.... does this mean that I'm competing passively without even knowing it? 'Cause if so, I'm cool with that. It's just not something I really wanna commit too.

Lol, I can already tell that the mod+ team will destroy when it comes to the green jersey. With the likes of Yuna, David, zlinqx, and gamer all on one team, its going to be quite hard for other teams to get a boost when it comes to points in that area. I guess being on a team with the other staff and elites could be pretty fun, but it looks like we wont be able to do much because it seems like we might only have 3 to 4 active members who can score some serious points for us. We just need to make sure that the noobs don't beat us.

I don't think I would be participating in this. Even though it may look fun. Good luck to all team members though for those who want to win. But if you are in desperate in need for help team staff.  then seek me out for that help. I would always lend a hand. But I might not. It depends if I want too really. But still good luck to everyone who will be helping their teams.

Which is one of the big reasons why I disapprove of this idea. It just seems so unfair to me.

As I said in David's thread, I'm not going to be going all out in this one. I'll compete when I feel like I can grab some jerseys, but other than that, I won't be doing a lot in this TDV.

LunarDarkness2 : Well it can't be any more unfair than what we did a couple of TDV's ago when we did just staff vs non staff. That was even worse with having just 2 teams and a bunch of people thought that was a good idea. I don't get why we don't just start re using older ideas yet, its been a while since we started with the TDV so there should have been more than enough time to re use them.

Again this one isn't going to be fair at all.

Staff are RGR staff, mods are forum mods, I am not competing. 

I don't see this being fair one bit, but hey, if some of the staff (zander and cox) can go strong all month, then they may be able to win.

Green won't be close. 

m0ssb3rg935 : Well, if you place in the top 5 for any jersey, you will still earn points for your team so yes.

zanderlex : It seems like it depends on the staff role for the green jersey. Certain staff roles might require several staff actions to be done. I would understand if non-staff struggle to gain any green jersey points, but if the RGR staff try hard enough, they probably can score some green jersey points. But once again, I think the unfairness of the green jersey is from the staff role, not the rank.

Keep in mind that the locals might just be earning green jersey points by doing their RGR staff role. Nearly all the locals have RGR staff roles (So they're doing actions that site staff can do). If Yuna, Zlinqx, and Gamer were site staff, we'd be destroying the green jersey competition. But as you said, most site staff don't bother even trying now. So it's really not because of the rank difference between staff and mods.

And I don't see why we shouldn't reuse the very old ideas for memories. For the next TDV, I guess the staff should discuss it earlier before hand because literally no staff suggested ideas.

Barathemos : Refer to what I said to zanderlex. Most locals have RGR staff roles they're doing things that site staff can do. It's just that our team might not be trying hard enough. 

But... The real flaw (which was why I was hesitant to even do this team competition at all) is how non-staff will do. I hope they can outnumber the staff for a balance but they do have a disadvantage at red/green. There's really no way to fix that honestly...

mohammedroxx3 : Yeah, but it just so happens that like 80% of staff who are going to be the most active are local+ As a matter of fact, the last 3 different users who won the green jersey are all mods, not just regular staff. It's very concentrated.

I think using first letter of your name, and birth months for teams could work again I the future. What do you think?

Guys could you please stop blaming moha for this idea? I mean try and do it yourself to come up with an team tdv thread which is not easy mind you. Its not as if he had any other ideas, and went with what he came up with. Because remember you can not use any ideas that was used in the past. So with each new tdv comes with a much more harder idea to come up with for team thread. At least remember that please. All I see is bashing. I understand its unfair but then you try and come up with the idea and see how hard it is. How would you like it if it was you and people start to complain how unfair it is? Wouldn't you get upset at that? At least give him a little credit for trying so hard and to come out to give this idea. '-'

No wonder a few jerseys randomly appear in my house whenever TdV comes. I tend to always find something to complain about .

And woooo go mod team let's see if we can win like 90% of the board thinks we will xp. Either that or the staff team. As for me, I do think the teams are unbalanced but I guess it's better than no team competition... and it's getting hard to come up with ideas for the team competition.

ZeroTails : totes.... keep on complaining and watch those points rack up!

Obviously green is skewed in favor of the higher power leveled people but there are fewer of us and less chances of us winning a lot of the time.

And even so, there are 3 other jerseys that no one has a real advantage in and could be won by anyone. If I really wanted to I could probably win in yellow and red every day if I tried. Review a couple games on a daily basis and I would get 3-5 points. Easy win if I had the motivation to do that again.

C'mon, people... It's just a game, already. It's supposed to be... y'know... fun? I mean, on the trusted level, you have yosh and lunar and on the staff level, you have cox and zander. I mean, if any of the lower power levels actually make decent progress or even win, that's bragging rights because of the handicap. Think of it as playing smash with 4 CPU characters cranked all the way up.

Looks like the Moderators start out with the lead! Well, barely. Davideo7 and Mynamescox44 put up a furious battle, with the help of their team members. LunarDarkness2 and MrBeingcool1 really tried to represent their team well. Will the moderators continue to lead? We'll find out. 

Oh good, there's a team competition this time!  I think it's cool that the mods are already in the lead. But I'm still rooting for my own team of course XD

Woah. I've never been a leader before. Alright you lazy bums, go and make me a sandwich let's show these higher-ups that Trusted Members are something. I don't really know what else to put here. Confidence stuff.

Anyway, I leave the next 2 days to the other Trusted Members since I'll be busy. I'll be back after that, though. Make daddy proud. <3

I just came in after being told that the results are up, and then I saw mohas commentary at the end. I think this will be a funny turn out of what kind of commentary he will do for this thread. I'm really looking forward to it. XD

Yeah I forgot tdv started yesterday. I guess I was doing too much guide work to notice that. But hey. I'm sure the teams will do their best to claim first place. Good luck to those teams.
