Final Fantasy VII (7) is quite possibly the best RPG ever made. Wait, my bad, THE best RPG ever made, in my opinion. It really does a good job of keeping you entertained.  So, why does everyone love this game? Well, let's find out!

Firstly, the graphics.
The cut-scenes are not top-notch, but where most people will complain about the graphics is the normal walking sequences. (I didn't know what else to call them) The game starts with a cut-scene, of which I can't remember. Then, the gameplay will commence. It (I think) starts with a battle, where you will see the battle graphics, of which, the characters look human. However, these are MOST DEFINITELY NOT the in-game graphics. You will soon notice the structure of the main characters (Cloud) body. He has, triangle, thingamabob elbows, and block shoulders and arms/hands. The rest of his body isn't as bad, but it was never a problem for me. But it's likely most kids and young teens of this gereration would say the graphics are terrible, but this game is a great example of "bad graphics doesn't mean a bad game" thing. If you get past the graphics, there is PLENTY to love in this game.

Next, the sound/music.
Fan-fricking-tastic, is the first thing i must say. It's the only way to describe it. The Final Fantasy series has always been known for its amazing music, and Final Fantasy VII (7) is no exception.

Next, the Story.
So the whole backstory to FFVII (at least at the start) is a company, known as ShinRa Inc, is sucking all of the Mako energy out of the world, which is the blood of the planet, to make our lives easier. However, it's, not as simple is beating down ShinRa Inc. The plot goes much deeper than that.

Depth/Difficulty.
This game has a lot to it, a lot of characters to get, a lot of bosses to beat, a lot of places to explore, a lot of EVERYTHING.Then again, the game is three discs long. The game may be hard at times.

Anyway, Final Fantasy VII is one of the best places to start with Final Fantasy. Overall, I give it a 9.8

I agree. I love the Final Fantasy series but the 7th is by far my favorite. I love everything about the game. I have replayed it countless times and will again I am sure. If and when they ever do a remake of the game I will die. I would pay a lot for it. 

I am impressed at this review, at first I saw, newbie, review and was like, oh my! But this was really well done. Just keep at it, and you will be getting tons of Viz in no time! I would want more details about stuff, but for a beginner at posting this is truly impressive! Have fun, keep the good work going!

... I honestly have to disagree, its just a typical RPG to me, Persona 3 is where its at! Persona 3 has so many features besides fighting! i respect your opinion, but i think Final Fantasy VII is just a overrated game. oh well nice review! 

FF7 was a game-changer - at least so far as graphics and limit breaks. The cut-scenes were really good when they came out- that was what all the hype was at first, luring the graphic junkies into RPGs.

Yah every seems to love this game and I never rally played it. I don't have a computer compatible with the rgr plug in. So I don't have any access to the game. But I really liked your review and maybe some time soon ill get a new computer and play this game.

GlazedKitten : First thing I'd do when I know it all works and no bugs (cause I'm gonna test it first) is throw it out on Vizzed, and hope for the best. I'm actually in the middle if redrawing the character set, I hope no one gets confused with it.

I like the Final Fantasy series, but IX is my favourite

This was a great review. I loved final fantasy vii It was the greatest game I ever played. It really had it all fighting, story, and even dating. I really cared about the people and when the flower girl was killed god was I pissed.  I mean this game from the music to the story is so great. To be honest I run from fights the first time I played just to get to the story first. So thanks for taking the time to write this review.

Final Fantasy VII was a strong game that did everything it set out to do really really well from the animation to the cinematics, the combat to the side quests, the story to the characters. You even get to use a airship to avoid random encounters when the experience they give just isn't worth your time anymore. 

The Golden Globe has plenty of mini games and allows for chocobo breeding so there is almost always something more for you to do.
