Tails the Fox :
Do you think about the things you say? I mean really? I dont care for the uk government but they wouldnt tax air. Frankly, you cant police it and no one would stand for it.
How does taxing big houses favour the rich? From my mindset, the poor tend to have the smaller houses.
And i believe that tax only applies to property worth over £1,000,000 ($1517100). How many people have property worth that? Even then, the tax is ridicuously low, like an extra 5%

orionfoxgibson :
he never said biden worked for bush, he made an example of another unpopular tax scheme.
That being said, the only popular tax scheme is the one where you pay less or someone else foots the bill. Thats not really a good way forward though.

The tax idea is stupid anyway, as it stands, its the publisher, not the develper that makes most of the money, and its an uncertain industry, many companys make loads of money but as we have seen recently, many struggle. That tax could damage the industry, not to mention its unfair. Tax should be representative of the value of the industry, not your moral stance on it.

thenumberone : It's all houses, not just expensive ones. Pretty much everyone has plenty of bedrooms here which is why the tax will have such a big effect - even the poor usually have an extra bedroom. (Just nothing else extra)

Tails the Fox :
Thats a different policy, its dubbed the bedroom tax and the aim is to discourage people from living in houses that are bigger than they need. The real target of that are people on benefits because they dont like paying for an empty room for people who dont work. The only reason average people will be hit by that is they cant single out a group of people for the tax. Why they didnt just put in a condition that you dont have a spare room, or that it reduces the amount of money you can claim, i do not know. The government, frankly, are colosul morons. But thats generally the case with every government.
Funnily enough, the uk politicians are planning on giving themselves a 20k payrise, because apparently £65,000 a year isnt enough at a time when theyre cutting everyone elses wages. And despite the fact they already got a subsidised bar, resteraunt, and tax system to boot. And expense claims on 2nd homes...
That was a tangent, vent over

Try not to pay too much attention to "thenumberone".
He is not well informed.
Plus he needs a an ego check from what I learned of his posts.
The name alone should tell you something of his Ego Issues.
That aside?
I think His Problem with tax is he thinks that it should be run like "donations" rather than forced "pay-up" proposition. Which... normally only would come to mind with the wealthy. (Just a thought.)
A country needs leaders and appointed people and such to maintain a sense of balance and value to the land. Granted His idea of it is brilliant with his statement of "Tax being stupid" but we all have things to do and people to see.
Without an obligation here or there?
There would be little value to anything.
Thus a Tax Must be paid.
Ben Franklin once said "Only two things in life are certain. Death and Taxes."
I figure he made that statement out of a ton of thought. (Like years of research kind of pondering.)
Take his rebuttal of my statements to another about Bidens Boss.
Anyone who wants to bring up a past political figure to argue the validity of a current political leader is reaching for scraps of the full picture of the topic and not promoting any solution to the problem at hand.
Then "thenumberone" comes in to defend him after I snuffed his argument?
In short...
"thenumberone" wasted time.
Amusing but not something I want on this subject witch could be a stepping stone into a loss of freedom of speach. Like I pointed out earlier.
Then again. Do what you will. Please "think for yourself".
Good Luck.

Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.

"IgorBird122":
Yes, taxing books and movies would be the next step as I stated earlier.
That is the goal.
They want money to fix nothing.
Just "live large" as I have seen them do.
It is depressing but I think if people were of sane mind to talk about it freely amongst themselves?
Then allot of change can happen.
(Just my opinion.)
Good Luck.
Good Luck To All.

the name has nothing to do with ego, I have it merely by accident, you are just guessing its an ego thing.
Your English is pretty hard to understand, but im guessing you are saying i support low tax. If thats the case you clearly havent read anything of what i have said, and youre attempt to fence me off as a richboy is fairly laughable.
I was saying that individual tax was stupid, there is a thing called context, it can change a sentences whole meaning, its pretty fantastic.

Ok, lets compare politicians to chefs, or maybe scientists. Because when a scientist comes up with a contrary theory, they compare it to an egg. Cross analysing it against the old theory and scrutinisation of the effects would be stupid.
As it is with politicians, there is nothing to be learned from the past.
That one was sarcasm, just in case you again misinterpreted me.

Loss of freedom of speech?
Since when did debating a point become suppression of freedom of speech? the very act of debate is freedom of speech.

Or we could just ignore the problems at hand and insult people, like your good self. Because that is totally a great idea, a persons points are so much more valid when they embark on a derogatory onslaught of a persons character. I have learned much here, but none of it in regards to politics or economics.

Thank you for inviting me to a match of words but I favour the physical realm with competitiveness.
That aside...
If you have read my previous posts then you can learn.
Back to the topic at hand I am certain that the people in power have learned a way to silence everyone else and force them to work terrible jobs for crappy pay and now they want our ability to communicate effectively too.
Now pay attention because this is where you might be concerned.
Taxing a recognised "Art form" would be akin to limiting freedom of expression and speach.
Particularly when video games were dubbed "a new form of Art".
Then they get a museum.
Now the folks who were against them want to tax them.
Try to put the pieces together yourself because I am done trying to paint a picture with words. (Particularly when I have many other tools for the job.)
Taxing Video Games will not solve Crime.
It just sucks money from the population.
Good Luck Sir.

Its the same old story of http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NewMediaAreEvil I like how people blame violence on videogames even though after study after study after study, its never been proved. It is just a bunch of old people who blame all the problems on whatever kids do now a'days, add that factor to being a corrupt congressman, who unfortunately only pass laws and taxes in order to expand their pay check. You got Biden's latest loony scheme. It is pretty stupid on how the two parties aren't actually different, they just want money. I say kick them ALL out, and get new people in who are a little less old, corrupt, senile, and more in touch with reality and care about the actual population, not just what their shareholders and sponsors want.

Gun violence is caused by loose gun laws that allow for psychopaths to very easily to get their murderous hands on military-level assault weapons and firearms. Violent video games are not the cause of gun violence, although some recent pieces of supposed evidence have led people to believe so, such as Adam Lanza spending most of his time playing violent video games.

Also, violent video games produce massive amounts of revenue (like every new Call of Duty release), so Biden might have just wanted to make more money for the government, and used the anti-violence thing as just a support grabber.

That depends on what kind of violence. Violence in general, as in organism hurting organism, or blood and gore? If just flat out violence, then we could get huge taxes on FFXV and KHIII. If blood and gore, there's a good chance that it will still effect FF in some way. Saddening, and I will dread the day Shadow the Hedgehog 2 comes out, if there will be one. This is pointless.

Tails the Fox : That's really, really sad, dude. You're right, humanity sucks. Still, I enjoy some of the fun things I get to do as a human being. Sometimes, I feel like I'm just waiting for my life to end, when I'm really just waiting to discover new things. Sometimes, I feel like my existence is an illusion-(slaps self across the face) God, I just went off topic and said something stupid again. xD I think now I understand a little bit more about why you support the animals. They don't deserve to die...at the very least, not nearly as much as humans. Animals just gotta do what animals gotta do. LOL

What?? If that actually happened I'd go mental. Joe Biden. You are one bad mama. However, wasn't there a huge scandal of the Internet being taxed because of violence and promographic content? It didn't work. So I don't think this will work either.

dennyjr22 :
I disagree.
I always want to know what my tax dollars are buying and what they are not buying.
Good Luck.
Peace.

"but that is not your business or anyone on this website's business" Then who's business is it? Only politicians? We can't think and talk about anything for ourselves?

The government wants to tax us to death here in America. Just look at that stupid tax about rain water run off in Maryland. So its no surprise they want to find other ways to tax us even more. This is the reason why I can't stand politicians; they are just as crooked as a dogs hind leg.

That's stupid as all hell man I hope it never passes but it probably will, let's hope the first amendment holds up. If it includes cartoon violence that will probably put a tax on 75-80% of video games.
