"Lian Xing" from the "Syphon Filter" series.
Hearing that voice on the radio or playing a mission with her was a blessing.
She is Brilliant, Tough, Can Fly a Chopper, and does not feel fear. (Check the plot of "Syphon Filter 2".)
Yes, she is designed to be nice on the eyes but she does not sport wild outfits that show off too much. (Does not have to.)

Oh yeah, my bad.
Sarena because she not only kicked butt, she (along with her group of girls) protected the world from the darkest of evil forces that threatened to destroy it. Most of the time in stories like this, it's the guys that are doing it all, and the hero girls are just background players.

Blaze, because she was (as you said) one of the earlier female protagonists. She also could beat down anyone or anything that tried to stop her. Watching a woman beat down wave after wave of musclebound men armed with all kinds of weapons, is just plain awesome. And she did it bare handed.

Today I feel kind of nostalgic.
So the entry for a day is a forgotten Hero.

She is a leader.
Captain in fact.

The girls name is "Captain Niobe". From the Enter the Matrix Game series.
Granted I only played "The Path Of Neo". So, maybe the First Game was a rough experience. (I doubt it.)
Even still the character has never been repeated.
I like that regardless of how this one is all about Business first... she is not blinded by her goals to not entertain trust and faith in others. (Something to be noted for leaders.)
Gotta hand it to the girl on this one. The girl in Red strikes my vote for today.

Been awhile since I heard from this thread.

The amount of times I hear about this woman mentioned in this thread is like hearing from the "angry Ex" that will not go away. (Such is life I guess.)

Anyway, I'm glad to hear this thread is not dead.

I have devised a special treat.
I rarely use R.P.G. Characters due to how overused the Basic Story, Plot Devices, and Characters tend to be. (Not to mention that it takes 100 hours for many of them. Like reading a 500 page book when you kinda already know the ending.)
I did stumble on one I might go and check out due to the Basic plot being something I am attracted to.

The subject?

"Lenneth".

Girls like this do not come around everyday.
What I like about her?
Her job.
I could never sift through a ton of fallen warriors to help my cause when it is clear they did not survive a mission already.
This girl sees the good in failures? Something I could rarely ever do. For that alone she earns my respect.

Back to "Ragnarock"?

I'm not sure if this has been said but my favorite female protagonist is Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series.  She is an Interpool agent trying to find the man who murdered her father, M. Bison and one of the popular and well-known characters in the series.

My favorite female protagonist is Amaterasu, the main character of Okami. Plus, in what other game is the main character a wolf and also a goddess?

Lightning Strikes Twice.
Chung-Li Steps up to the plate for ...I think the first time. (That is odd. I figured she would have been mentioned at least once before. oh well. Live and Learn.)

Her name is Betsy. Or "Psylocke".
She is an X-man. Part of a team. Of course she has Cool Powers and Smoking Curves.(Those can be looked up easily so I will not go into too much detail.)

The reason I put her in this list is her long history of saving the world.
Read any of her stories and they are riddled with sacrifice. Her Body. Her eyes. her life at one point. (She got better and also got a red face tatoo.)

The amount of trouble this girl goes though is allot.
Now?
She is rarely remembered.

I find it interesting that a professional considers everything to be moving too slowly. Even the people around her.
A tale that takes place in the future depicting a person that's ahead of their time is too attractive for me to leave alone.

Why does purple hair on animated broads drive people wild?
(It is depicted as Black hair most of the time. But in the Later years? The art department went for the purple. Why does that one thing change so much?)
Back to the Woman....
In the second Movie The Writers Finally decided to give the Woman a heart.
She walks back into Batou's life after ten years.
They Pick up as if it was only a few minutes.
The Exchanges make you re-watch the material with new eyes.
The Games?
Great. (I only know of two. The first one was another mech game. The second? Way different.)

I like Amaterasu from Okami and Anise from Tales of the Abyss. One's a magical paint brush goddess, and the other one's can control a giant puppet that can smash and has some magic to help out!

I decided to dig through the Internet to find a music video of "Okami" and see if there's one that does not have Lyrics in it. (Note: the lyrics in music videos can distract from the beautiful artwork in many of these. Particularly when they use music that has been done to death.) (Linkin Park, and Amy Lee are prime examples of music to never use in a "G.M.V." But alas...I have found one.)

As for my selection of the day?

I have been playing D.O.A. 5 and I like diving into forgotten heroes?

I am going with "Hitomi". (Aside from staying a teen since 2002? Big Mystery there. Wonder if "Team Ninja" will address no one ageing in that game?) I have to say I am happy that this character has stayed in the D.O.A. series and not left. She's tuff and stays true to her self.
She still cares for "Hyate" and I actually want to see those two hook up. (Though that is looking like an event that has been abandoned.) The respect this character gets by the development team is something to be noted.
In some games like "Soul Calibur" if the development team has no Idea what to do with a character? They Either leave them out OR alter the fighting system to such a point to where the character is useless and latter forgotten.
But
With "Hitomi"? The Developers Kept her strong and in the game.

My favourite by far has to be Millenia from Grandia 2.

She's an antagonist from the start and has a sudden change of heart based on the emotions she has for the main character, she is a demon spawn, actually a embodied part of the "devil" in the game. She is a playable character, and is a twin personality of the "pure-hearted" female character in the game, who is named is Elena. (which I don't like nearly as much. Probably my favourite game of all time, no competition.

Probably going to be in the minority here(definitely unique category that much is certain), but ever hear of Code Lyoko? Although this show only has 5 protagonists(4 of which do the virtual world fighting), two of them happen to be female: Aelita and Yumi. The show has spawned 3 video games, the last one of which was Code Lyoko: Quest for Infinity and in it you can play any of the characters but personally I like Yumi the best. She sports dual wielding Tessen fans that she can use to block incoming attacks or eliminate enemies and has telekinesis powers. I have been struggling with my self on this one but after Someone Started a thread about "Death Battle?

I decided to include on of my favourite King of Fighters Characters.

Mai Shiranui.

Normally I avoid "Fan Service" Girls unless they are so funny that you can't take em seriously.
But after the bout of respect awarded to Mai in Death Battle?

I feel like she has to be mentioned at least once in this place.

I would sport a video but I think it would be in bad taste. Even though most of the videos are only game play footage.

So, I'll settle for an image.
What I like about her?
She stands by her man. Andy Bogard.
They have been together for nearly 20 plus years.
With curves like hers? You would think she would settle for nothing less than a 3 piece suit business tycoon.
But no she sticks with Andy who is a Ninja and teaches at a "dojo".
Guess having a teaching credential here or there pays off.
So here's to the "Crimson Distraction" that beat the "Strongest woman in the world".
