I wanna know what you all think of G4TV's list. Agree or disagree? What do you think should be the top video game of all time?

pokemonfangirl : Imagine watching it for 5 hours back to back to back to back to back (there were 5 episodes each with 20 games). I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit bummed to see Mega Man II ranked at 73 but oh well. I also didn't expect Asteroids to appear in the top 5. I did expect to see it in the top 10 though.

One problem with your list.

Skyrim isn't #1.

Lml oh. I don't know why but for some reason skyrim seems to revolve around that arrow to the knee quote. Maybe it's just me.

Now, I honestly can't say what I would put on as the number 1 or even top 5 games.But I know I disagree with so much about this list. I think they really just went with which games got the most hype. I think that Kingdom Hearts and Batman: Arkham City should be much higher on that list as they are easily better than most of what is on there. I am surprised that Arkham Asylum and Kingdom Hearts 2 isn't even on there. And where in the hell is Super Mario RPG: Legend of the 7 Stars?! That is often revered as one of, if not the best Mario games ever made. I have others that definitely should have not only been on the list but at least top 25, but it is all subjective. I just don't really agree with this list in game titles or positions.

rcarter2 : Now that I think about it I am surprised Kingdom Hearts 2 isn't on the list. I liked it way better than the 1st.

Don't get me wrong I love mario but I don't think it deserved the #1 spot as great as it is. I'm glad to see that Deus Ex got a spot, that game is simply amazing. Silent Hill 2 too. And about every other game on the list. I don't know about #1 though, it's kind of disappointing for me. But I'm glad to see more people that watched it on G4.

There's a difference between hype and how good the game ACTUALLY is.

For those who @ Skyrim, I'll admit, yes, Skyrim was good, but it doesn't fit close to number 1. IMHO, Morrowind was better and even Daggerfall was better than Morrowind.

Even with a game such as OoT(which DID make 11th, so it wasn't TOO bad), known to be one of the best games of all time, I still wouldn't put that one as number one, because there are better games; but rest assured it would be in the top 5.

And where the hell is "The World Ends With You" on DS? Probably the best game on the DS. Music was amazing; it fit and sounded great while playing. The controls were immaculate using the touch screen and if you wanted to add difficulty, you could also control the top screen with buttons at the same time. Very well thought out plot and character development. Possibly Square's best game since KH. Completely ignored on this list.

To be honest, though, MOST top lists are usually horrible due to either bias or just ignorance (which the latter is surprisingly rare, to be honest). 

As for my reasoning why Skyrim shouldn't be number 1... It's a great game, but HEAVILY bugged on release. I know it may seem like a small complaint, but when gamers treat it as the holy grail of gaming, it's a whole different story. A couple of other reasons are a bit biased, but I won't explain those ones, but rest assured it's not genre bias. In fact, I like the game quite a bit.

Regardless, long post is long and I'll keep it up to here.

Dualage : Skyrim wasn't number 1 on this list. Super Mario Bros was. 

Plants vs. Zombies should have gotten in the top 50. It was a Game of the Year after all...it wasn't even ON the list.

CC23 : idk about #2 but super Mario bros. is at #1 because it launched the most successful franchise in the history of gaming. As for #2, I'm guessing that it was a huge improvement that launched the Zelda series. It's a wild guess.

japanman : I personally don't think that plants vs zombies fits the bill for top 100 Videogames of all time. It's just my my opinion.

I know that, but what I meant was to those who seem to over glorify it, saying it should have been number 1. That's all I was saying. I guess you could say it was just me nitpicking, but it's what I do sometimes =/.

Dualage : Oh, I see. I just got the wrong impression with your post. I actually agree that it is over glorified. Granted, it was miles better than Oblivion, but I think Morrowind (and it's expansions) was the best Elder Scrolls for me. Loved it. 

CC23 : why was your first post stating shock about why Legend of Zelda OoT and Mario 64 wasn't number 1 and 2, and you next post is in complete agreement with the list that Super Mario Bros is the best?

Well according to the show top 100 video games of all time number 1 is super Mario bros but every one has there own opinion
