The Nintendo consoles were my favorites. Even though that Sega had a few good games, but after the Genesis, they just sucked.

Nintendo make the Better hardware but SEGA make the best software. So for me, it's really a tie. Even if the Dreamcast is my favourite system of all time lol.

Nintendo beats SEGA (in my opinion).

Sega made some good consoles , Nintendo made some great consoles .
They both were good at their own time . But Sega gave Nintendo a little bit
competition with their Dreamcast but it didn't last too long .Since then there
really hasn't been any Sega consoles. Nintendo consoles haved far surpassed
Sega consoles since 1999 .

in my opinion it's Nintendo the best one they have now is the 3ds and the wii sega is not that good but Sonic is the mascot of sega and one of the most popular Mario is the mascot of Nintendo and he's one of the most popular so it's hard to say what the most popular is but everybody has their own opinion about which one they like more some will say Sega and others will say Nintendo but if you ask me i would say nintendo I've played Nintendo ever since i was little I did try playing my brother's playstation once but it wouldn't work and i did play some of the old sonic games from Gensis on GameCube they were pretty good but not as good as the brand new games they are a lot better but if you ask me i would still say Nintendo the game i like playing most on my Wii is Legend Of Zelda the game i'm into now is Majora's mask i bought that the other day and I liked it ever since 

Nintendo beats Sega because Nintendo is the best company ever!!!!!! They make better consoles and games. Sega just mostly relied on Sonic, HAH, Nintendo has Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, Metroid and way more

Nintendo all the way, better known franchises, better games, yeah. Sega is cool too but Nintendo wins.

My 2 favourite consoles of all time are the Dreamcast and Nintendo 64. This is a hard choice.

I would edge towards SEGA though, because they have Sonic the Hedgehog and that's probably my favourite series of all time.

G@mehe@d : I see you wonder why the Dreamcast failed. Well, it is because when it come out, it was popular, but when Sony announced the Play Station 2, people waited to have the Play Station 2 instead to buy a Dreamcast. This is why I think.

Oh, Sega vs. Nintendo. Up there with Catholic and Protestant, Yankees and Red Sox, Coke and Pepsi. In general I would say Nintendo won the console wars, however here's my breakdown by generation and type:

8 bit console: The NES had the better library and a better playing experience, but the Master System was the more advanced, for example in terms of graphics. Check out R-Type on the Master System to see something the NES could probably not do. So here when you account for the whole experience, Sega and Nintendo basically tie.

8 bit handheld: Game Boy and Game Gear. The Game Boy pioneered handheld gaming but the Game Gear totally beat the Game Boy on every level except battery life. On a technical level, the Game Gear was far superior to the Game Boy.

16 bit console: SNES vs. Genesis, the central battle in the console wars. Here, the SNES is the clear winner for me. It had better sound, graphics, power, game library, pretty much everything. Though the Genesis was a year or two earlier, so it held its own. A close battle but Nintendo won it in the end.

and then...16 bit handheld!: remember the Sega Nomad? It was a handheld Sega Genesis and it never gained much popularity. The Nintendo equivalent was pretty much the Game Boy Color, though I don't think that was 16 bit. The Nomad was, however, an awesome concept, and only recently have 3rd party manufacturers made portable SNES handhelds.

Finally, Saturn vs. N64. The Saturn is the only Sega system I've never played, I own one but never hooked it up. My impression is it was inferior even to the PS1, which is makes it far below the N64. However the Saturn library I've heard is very good. I can't call this one.

Overall, Sega always put up a good fight and I don't dislike any of their hardware. They won some console battles. But Nintendo is and was the superior console maker overall.

The nintendo is way better for me because it have most of my favorite games on it.

Nintendo is way better. Nintendo was my childhood. I think that Nintendo's systems are better because they have neat names, they have more games, and they are more fun.

SEGA doing good game compared to Nintendo, but told me that when we do its shenmue did not work well, since one sees that SEGA put on Nintendo consoles

Sega consoles were way better but still,people would rather stick with inferior old consoles with older older games with not as good graphics.Well one must wonder why? Maybe those games were still better than anything come up by anyone for Sega. For the 8-bit,16 - bit and for anything later.

There is no comparison between these two.  Sega and Nintendo have always been on even grounds.  The only thing that stopped Sega's popularity was when it dropped out of the console race.  Other than that Sega and Nintendo are equals.
