The framerate is terrible, making it very uneasy to the eyes and making
the game unplayable. There is also the zoom to fit the GBA screen size,
making it almost impossible to see enemies coming towards you while you
are running. The music is also atrocious, even with the GBA's not very

exception of Star Light Zone) are either raped (Green Hill Zone, Spring

I know the OP never really said that Sonic Blast counts, but the water world from Sonic Blast is so damn frustrating. I have by far spent more time on that level than I have on any other side scrolling sonic game. Period. It's extremely frustrating.

I'm aware of the fact that I commented on this thread before... But that was a while ago... 

It seems the trend is to dislike long levels... oh and water levels.

Personally I loath Marble Garden.. It's just a tedious level.... I'd probably be able to cope with it more if I decided to ever speed run sonic 3 and knuckles but I haven't.... 

Any sonic 1 and sonic 2 level is fine by me... None of them are that difficult or tedious.
