Unfortunatley, I was recently informed that I have a dentist appointment at around 5 P.M. (EST), hence I may not make it. If I can't I suppose it can't be helped. If I don't make it, I'd at least like to see any conclusions that arrise from that meeting... though I suppose that is kind of an obvious request.

Fraternity rush convocation. Sorry. You know what I think about the subject though, Jake. Make me proud.

Damn it, I missed the meeting. How'd it go?

You know... I can't help but laugh a little upon seeing that most of the members of this, including myself, happened to miss the meeting.

Jake, did you guys still have the meeting? If so, were any decisions made? Any important things we should know?

I was actually coming to find that out myself... I...forgot about it and scheduled a meeting with some of my Arbonne people at that time. I was hoping that at least ONE of us made it! But, as it turns out, Wayne just ended up meeting with his own staff and they hashed out all their issues and concerns, and they are on board. Just like we all did on AIM before.

So, from here, I suppose the next step would be for me to meet with Wayne and find out the pulse from his team, and kinda work with him on that. At least that's not something that requires a massive coordinated effort between all of us.

*sigh...* Well, I suppose it isn't a surprise since pretty much everyone else missed out on it. That is too bad though; I think it would have been good to have a meeting of sorts between the two teams. To be honest though, I don't have ANY idea how I could have met with him even if I was around. How exactly was the meeting held? No links to chatrooms, or even AIM addresses, were given out... now that I think about it. Perhaps I just missed something?

Well... I suppose it'd be good to hear whatever news Wayne has for us. A little bit of information on that would at least give us some clue of his team's intentions/ideas/etc.

It tends to get a little quiet when we're just waiting for something. It is pretty much concluded at this point I guess. We will end up collaborating with that team. There'll be stuff to discuss once things start getting set up. Of course, the only person who can really inform us of these things is Jake... so we'll have to wait to hear the news from him I guess.

To avoid getting stagnant in our efforts, I'd really like to try and set up some sort of meeting very soon to brainstorm some ideas about working together, ending with an initial plan of action. Could you check with your guys to see when such a meeting would work for at least most of them? If you're okay with this being the next step, then I will do the same with my guys (or we can try to set it all up at once by emailing everyone in both groups).

So, what works for yall?

Tuesdays and Thursdays after 12 30 but not during the evenings. Internet at my house is unreliable so I have to go to school to use it.

Any day before 8 P.M. would be best. I think you should email us the decided date like a week before-hand before the meeting though. Just to be safe.

I forgot to specify: my posted times are from the Central Time Zone.

EDIT: Alright, I'm not sure what's going on but right now I can do everything on the internet except get on AIM. Seems some "entity" has been watching over us doesn't want me attending any of the meetings.

PS- Anyone catch the Chrono Trigger reference there?

Yeah... I definitely caught the reference, lol. I would say the entity isn't only effecting you, however. I was not told of this, but it seems my family wanted to hold my cousin's birthday party EARLY. The day just so happened to be the very day of the proposed meeting. It is the unfortunate case that I missed the meeting due to this. I hope at least some of us were able to meet though. At this rate, we'll never get a good meeting.

Well, not that it matters anyway. I'm pretty sure we're all generally in favor of the merger, right? Regardless though, I think a meeting between the two groups would be beneficial before we actually have the merger. In other words, SOMEONE better have been there...

Well, I guess I can't say that. Be kinda hipocritical... regardless though, we are really getting stalled by this. If the meetings don't work, I suggest we talk to them on this or some other forum. At least that way we can communicate with eachother. As of this point, I haven't discussed a single topic with any of the CT novel project.

So did at least someone here get to that meeting? If not, perhaps the forum idea would be best if we wish to get some kind of communication between the two groups.

I don't think anyone went. I showed up but Jake wasn't there and I didn't have any of thier screen names.

Wow. That sounds kind of bad. It doesn't really make us look good, you know? I kind of thought we'd have problems since no screen names were listed, and furthermore, no one REALLY seemed certain of when they'd want to meet.

Regardless, if they were all there and we weren't; the only course of action is a formal apology for what happened. Afterall, it wasn't them who didn't manage to make it. Granted, it should have been planned better, they all seemed to know what to do; while we didn't. Obviously, their confidence in us after all these missed meetings probably has dropped significantly. Thus it is in our best interest, if we do wish to have this merger, to at least let them know that we acknowledge the mistake.

If they want to have another meeting though, I suggest EVERYTHING be covered. EVERY detail of the meeting, including what kind of meeting it is, how or what it shall be held on, times, etc. I personally wouldn't suggest AIM. If we are to do this, it might be best to use something like a forum. That way, no specific times are necessary. We can, over the course of a week or so, have the ability to discuss this and answer any questions anyone has in regards to this. In this manner, there is no possible way ANYONE can say they outright missed the meeting because they would have been aware (beforehand) of this meeting, and also would have the ability to look at and respond to these messages for the period of a week; which is definitely a suitable period of time. What are your thoughts? With our luck on this issue, I really suggest this method because I can't see any other way of doing this effectively and with everyone having their say.

I agree with Apoc for reasons he stated and a few others he did not. I will elaborate if necessary. Your thoughts?

Wayne and I have agreed not to have............another meeting. Merger is continuing, however. I've already grovelled at Wayne's feet enough to consider it a "formal apology," so I think we're covered there unless you guys personally want to apologize as well...but I think I've done enough to cover for all of us.

Anyway, at this point Wayne is talking to his website guys to see if they'd be willing to build the new semi-combined site we've been talking about, so the ball is in Wayne's court right now.
