My favorite fighting game would have to be Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3... I loved playing that game in arcades (and my local game store had an arcade machine of it for a long time)...

If I had to choose a more recent fighting game then I'd probably choose the UFC Undisputed games (if that counts) or if we're talking more arcade-style then either Soul Calibur IV or Street Fighter IV

I played the arcade version of Marvel vs. Capcom a long time ago.

Besides that, Soul Caliber 2 on Gamecube (I like Link) and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I'd say Brawl is third to Soul Caliber 4 and Street Fighter 4 for the best fighting game of this game system generation.
