Now things pick up?

Yesterday surely was hectic. I was ready for it with my secret weapon, and I'm surprised I actually managed to get away with more than one jersey. And I'm surprised this combination doesn't look that bad on my username color, I feared it would be as bad as Yellow but luckily it's a darker hue than expected.

Thanks to yesterday's results, I'm now tied for David in 4th overall and I also tied him for most Yellow jerseys, which is a nice coincidence. And more importantly, I surpassed the 2k total points barrier I had aimed for at the start of the month, so I've basically cleared the goals I had set for myself. I wonder what should I aim for next, if there's even anything feasible for me anymore.

Looks like I won't be able to get into monthly top 5 for Red despite my efforts, bit of a shame there. I should be able to jump back on Green, though, so at least it's something.

EX Palen : You don't think you can? That's literally what you told me about getting to 2K this month and look at what happened. If you can push for 1 or 2 red jerseys you might be able to pass David.

zanderlex : While it's not impossible, specially seeing what I was able to overcome in Summer 2018, it would require me dedicating a good deal of time to certain actions that I know have overburnt me in the past.

I need to score at least 10 points, basically meaning I need to win the remaining two Red jerseys. If someone pops out of nowhere with a review or I'm unable to get a seven pointer, I'm done for.

I guess I'll wait until the last hours I can be active to check my chances and pull an effort, that way I can dedicate the day to what I truly want and any free time remaining to TdV. I no longer want to sacrifice things to swim and drown in the shore when the prize isn't really big, it would be different if aiming for a jersey but a top 5 is not enough justification.

I love the title today I just imagine in my head David is just like seriously guys you wait till day 29 to start picking things up?

Guess some people want to make a mad push at the end.

It's having the opposite effect on me, not sure how much I want to keep going two more days. But it's good to see some competitiveness every now and then I suppose.

I guess I'll try to get a top 5 finish this month. It'll be tough but very doable if I put some effort in tomorrow.

Not sure if there's any other goal I could have this TdV anymore. Already hit 80 reds so idk.

Last Day of Competition.

Well, I was denied one last jersey yesterday, but I'm glad I didn't enter the fight for Red. I'd have needed a seven pointer to keep my chances up for today, and it obviously would have come at a cost.

I only managed to clear David by a handful of points, so I'll have to be careful today or he can take back that position even if it's just casually. And my top 5 positions for the three jerseys should be secured by now, so overall I'm satisfied with my results despite how difficult of a month it was.

Who would of ever thought that day 31 there would be a jersey undecided I don't even like blue but here we are. In terms of goals for the month I hit 50 green jerseys like I wanted and also hit 9k CP so that's nice I'm really tired as I'm writing this so I probably hit something else I'm forgetting.

SonicOlmstead : You are a heathen for not liking blue lmfao jk I think everyone probably has jerseys that they like more than others for their own reasons from the colour to what you have to do in order to get them in the first place but that is just a part of what makes tdv so fun and worthwhile in the first place.

Eh I'm satisfied with the fire colour in my background, considering that my letter colours are purple I am not sure how it would look against purple. But like I had said before (and SonicOlmstead agrees) it seems that 3rd place will be a lock for me.

LuckyCharms : I'm honestly jealous of your ability to post like it's nothing and I agree the different jerseys different people like does make Tour de Vizzed more accessible because you might not like some of the categories but you can always just go for the jersey you like.

zanderlex wins the Tour de Vizzed!

zanderlex took the lead from SonicOlmstead by Day 5 and held it with ease the rest of the way. Even though it's been about 6 years since zanderlex's last TdV win, this is his 3rd TdV victory, which puts him at #1 for the most TdV wins. He's also one of the most decorated TdV competitors as well, which you can see here. He has the most Rainbow Banners, Yellow Jerseys, Blue Jerseys and Total Jerseys. He also won the Blue Jersey competition this season, making it his 4th time, and the Red Jersey competition, making it his 3rd time. He almost pulled off the win in the Blue Jersey competition but SonicOlmstead prevented that from happening (which btw, zanderlex has won that competition 7 times, 6 of those times in consecutive competitions).

Even though it was one of the most dead TdV competitions in history, it did have more users in the New User category than almost any other TdV in history.

zanderlex : Congrats on the win.

Well, I almost forfeited 4th overall to Furret, but he didn't score enough points to surpass me. Those two extra points I scored helped secure that.

We thought zander would take this by storm, and while he did, his slacking off the last days almost surprised him. He did forfeit Blue after all, and just 20 points off Rainbow means two more days at this pace and Sonic could have (accidentally?) overtaken him, though I'm sure zander did have something up his sleeve to prevent that.

The last days were very fun, with numbers picking up massively. We had several new users joining, and also several users who appeared for one day sweeps or even continued to score very consistently. Even if competition was nearly dead at some point, overall it's been quite nice to follow.

On a personal level, I wonder what other goals could I set for myself, if any. Winning Gray is all that remains, though that banner has some great competitors in classgame (a fresh new and healthy discovery) and geeogree, who has expressed interest in winning it. Plus, who knows what other users can qualify by then and enter the competition, so I guess this goal will remain in the air until the competition shows me I have chances of winning it.

In just about a week of competing give or take I was able to jump all the way to 5th place, points away from 4th. As an Elite no less this time, making CP jerseys a lot harder to score high in. I don't really have many things I have yet to accomplish in TdV aside from just increasing overall statistics. And I guess defend some records to my name, although I doubt some of them will ever be passed anyway.

Congrats to zanderlex. He slacked off near the end but he had a comfortable enough lead to do that so I don't blame him. And congrats to Sonic for stealing Blue from him the very last day of the competition. Love seeing the new user competition being more spread out.

It's very weird seeing that I won but I also missed out on both of the goals that I set out out for. The big goal was blue, which I was dying to get again after so long and the other was passing David for most points, which was something I held a few years ago.

4 posts might have been all I needed to win blue and one final review would have been all I needed to pass David.

I figured it was only fair that since you took my overall goal of rainbow I stole Blue when I realized I had the chance besides that I wouldn't say I was trying to win rainbow last second but if zander didn't compete the last couple days at all and I could of? I would of took it, that being said I did some cool things this time like scoring more points then either of the previous two Tour de Vizzed I competed in which was pretty neat and I continued to make my way up the green leaderboard which is pretty cool I'm hoping next Tour de Vizzed I can take 2nd overall in most green jerseys. I also am excited to be able to compete for Gray next tdv but I'm probably always going to be aiming for rainbow and hopefully I can get Green and Red which was supposed to be my goal this Tdv.
