Pokemon Diamond Review by: zanderlex - 9.5/10
4TH Generation!!!When Pokemon first decided to bring the games to the DS, I was really excited because I knew that the games were going to begin to look much better than the older games. I was right, and I really wanted the game so I bought a DS Lite and the game when I was 13. I just had the game for a couple of months, but it was a really cool couple of months because the game was so cool.
When it came to the graphics of the game, I really had no complaints because the game looked really good. The graphics were really good, especially seeing that the game was released during the first couple years of the DS, and I personally believe that most of the older DS games were not that good when it came to graphics. Aside from that, the graphics were much better than they had been for the previous games in Generation 3. Everything has a bit more color, it’s a bit more detailed, and the perspective is just a bit better. Because of this, I am going to have to give this game’s graphic section a 9 out of 10.
As for the sound, there is a lot of it. You have all of the Pokemon cries, you have all of the battle sounds, and you have many other tiny sounds that pop up whenever you are doing something. Then you have the music, which is something that Pokemon is known well for. The soundtrack of the game has well over 120 different tracks, most of them are good and some of them I do really like a lot. I think the developers have done a good job with the music and I am going to give this section a 9 out of 10.
The story is pretty simple and is mostly like all of the other Pokemon games. You catch Pokemon and you train them. The story for this game involves Team Galactic as the evil team who is trying to capture the mirage Pokemon so they can control Dialga. This is a good story and for that, I am going to give this section a 9 out of 10.
Next is the addictiveness. You should never be bored when you play this game because there are so many places for you to explore. One of the brand new features is called The Underground where you can mine for all sorts of objects, interact with other players, and do all sorts of other things such as building your own secret base. In this game, there is a lot more to do than just battling the gyms and Team Galactic. For a grade I give the addicvivness a perfect score.
Next we have the depth of the game. In this game, you go and catch and train hundreds of Pokemon, you battle gyms and then you become the trainers. However, once you do all that, there is still so much that you still have to do. Then we have the new Underground and all sorts of new DS features to keep you occupied. As for a grade, I give this section a perfect score.
As for the difficulty of the game, there is really nothing to it because the game is not hard at all. If you run into trouble, all you have to do is go and train your Pokemon some more. I give the difficulty a grade of 4.
As for the overall grade of the game, It is the first DS game and it is a lot of fun. If you are not a fan of Pokemon, I suggest you give this one a try because you should like it. My overall grade for this game is 9.5
