I admit I wasn't sure if I was going to make a thread about this or not just cause it seems so arbitrary, but I've been Playing Neopets again recently after it being like 3 years or so. I kinda used to regular the site until Adobe Flash made some of the site unusable, One of the biggest losses with this being that the games wouldn't run anymore for pretty obvious reasons.

While the site's been really slowly updating over the many years it got bought out by Jumpstart (Yes, that Jumpstart), turns out that's about to change! It seems a person bought the rights to Neopets and they're planning on fixing up while also updating it regularly, including restoring functionality to a good handful of the games in the coming weeks/months.

Kinda brings a bit of excitement as somebody who used to play Neopets so much when I was younger and hopefully the site continues to improve after how long left abandoned it was.

MoblinGardens: The sad thing about PC Parts is they aren't meant to last forever, even if you properly maintain them and take good care of them, they're eventually going to die out. Had it happen to me a lot generally in the past decade of owning my own PC. Hell I had like a really good GTX 650 I took pretty great care of that suddenly decided to fail on me.

Hopefully though if it happens to you, you'll be able to find yourself a new replacement in no time. While I don't often like to get pre-builds myself they're pretty affordable so long as you find the right price (And one that allows you to upgrade.)

zanderlex: I've been meaning to watch the movies themselves since they seem pretty good. A lot of the ones from what I've heard from my sister are a lot easier to digest, though could be due to the fact that they are in a movie format and you don't have to invest too much time into it to get a good story out of whatever it is.

SonicOlmstead: I generally think the worst part is that when it reaches to that point that I might actually hop off the train and find a alternative way of viewing it without the horrendous pacing issues. Can't really say I'm there yet and still enjoying it, thankfully.

Fr though, been enjoying my time with it so far. I will say I have a lot more patience now and days then I did years ago so I never really gave it much a fair shake due to the length of it.

tornadocam: Honestly speaking I don't really like to go with OEMs, for the most part. They have their place but usually harder to upgrade any parts with you having to go through the manufacturer to be able to and I'm not really a fan of that. I've heard they've gotten a lot better about this in recent times but still, can't fully trust those types of Builds.

The only real reason I got a Pre-build was cause the price was a lot cheaper then going the route of building it myself. Keep in mind I also didn't really have the money to even get much more upgrades so I just called it a day and didn't think about it before it was too late. Thankfully though my computer is now running perfectly with my new PSU.

pennylessz: I'll more then likely probably give those Fan Edits a shot. I remember when I was getting into Naruto again I personally went out of my way to find one that got rid of the Filler Content that I didn't have any interest for and I really enjoyed it. Basically that's how I first got into Naruto Shippuden myself. It's just too hard to get into Shippuden after a certain point just cause it's filler is so heavy when in Naruto you can mostly skip everything.

pokemon x: In fairness, One Piece is a lot more huge and overwhelming then people make it out to be. They tend to state that people watch tons of other long running anime or just many seasons of other shows and are yet not willing to give One Piece a chance since it's pretty long, but it is a time commitment.

Honestly as long as it's a decently reputable company then usually you're fine, but I literally only heard nothing but bad things from Apevia and all and should of just checked it first thing before I got a new Card-

So back in 2021, I happened to of bought myself a new PC. I was going to make it myself, however with how bad the market prices were for everything it was practically impossible to get a good deal on anything I really wanted. Prebuilds were the next option, and thankfully I didn't live too far away from a Best Buy. I see the price, 1,100 USD for a Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of DDR4 3200 Ram, a RX580 8GB GPU, seemed pretty good for me and what I was wanting. I snatch it up, and for a while that was that.

Then around 2022 having found out that Walmart was selling a new Nvidia GTX 3070 got me interested, and for basically retail price too. I didn't have a ton of money at the time but I went ahead and took one and really that was about it for me. I wasn't really thinking too hard about my desicion and thankfully it fit right into my computer. Nothing really could change how happy I was and for a while, things worked great!

Then suddenly I kept getting Black Screens, Errors that tell me pretty much nothing about why my computer was doing it. I start to look into it, seems like a lot of other people are also having this issue and it put me through the wildest goose chase to figure out my own issues. Did like the most "Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling" processes I possibly could, nothing fixed it. Tried to adjust my GPU to make sure it wasn't sagging or anything, it was not. Ran many benchmarks and test to see if it was Other things that could be the issue, it did nothing.

I then think to myself... huh. You know I should proabably check my power supply to see if it was the right amount of Watts. I never thought to think about it cause my RX580 was about 60 less watts then my GTX 3070 and didn't think that was much a difference maker to really get another PSU. Plus it was working fine before! Why would I of needed to? I was basically in denial until everything else didn't work and sighed. "Fine, I'll check my PSU"

Guess what? I found out this thing was a 600W power supply from... Apevia. I heard about the company before but why exactly? Well uh... turns out their power supplies are completely made on the cheap and are some of the worst possible ones you could put into your PC if you had any choice. Sheesh. Well I just went ahead and bought a 750w PSU from Evga and that'll be getting to me tomorrow so hoping and praying that it does the trick.

Lesson of the story? Always research the Company that your PSU comes from. Could go from causing you to lose all your hardware to basically saving your life.

Seeing this post resurgence a bit, it's honestly pretty crazy that the site has around for this long. I have a lot of memories of older Vizzed and all before site UI Updates and all that when I still kinda just used it to play Video Games lol

2010 doesn't feel like it was that long ago but the fact I've gone through like 2-3 other accounts before making this one just goes to show I still love this site even for how outdated it may feel at times. Just a piece of history that deserves to be remembered at least for people like me who still find fondness getting to hang out with a community pretty tight knit.

SonicOlmstead: I do wonder myself if the game will be fun to play single player as much as it is Multiplayer since I personally don't tend to play a lot of my games that way unless it's a heavily focused aspect part of the game. That part at least to me is a bit worrying.

Though I do think the fact they shown the game off without it and then kinda slide the multiplayer aspect halfway in through the trailer at least makes me think it's a Single Player experience first before anything with hopefully fun Multiplayer for those interested in it.

pennylessz: 4's pretty bad and people who say that 4 was actually good are pretty much off their rocker lmao

Yeah it's pretty exciting to get a new Sonic Mania-esque title. We'll have to see how it plays since I'm not sure though I'm pretty sure that Sega's team got pointers by Christian Whitehead's team and all. I do love the Sonic Adventure formula no doubt and still think it's the best way Sonic's ever played but still really enjoyed how it felt in Frontiers and hope that them expanding on that style helps to boaster in a new era for the games.

becerra95: Honestly I've never been a MK Fan to begin with, although yeah the New FF seems pretty cool, even if I have yet to play the first FF7 Remake yet. I'm still waiting for KH4 info to get released but looks like I'll have to wait another 10 years lol
