Wow dosent have an ending? Thats lame. But this Diablo II sound good what the game about?

I personally think an ending would ruin a MMORPG.
I mean seriously, the thing people like about it is how there's always things to do.
It is true though, that playing with friends is a big part and without them, isn't as fun.

They could alway make it like The Elder Scrolls or Fallout 3. Theres the main quest and then theres like a million side quests to do.
Bethesda could make a killing if they applied their style to a MMO.

It's a top down point and click RPG made by Blizzard before WoW.
A medieval styled game where you have to hunt down Diablo and clense the land of evil.
It doesn't have as many side quests, but has more storyline and uses the talent tree system.
Oh, and you can still level up and collect items and do a few other side quests after you win the game.
It's not as pretty as WoW, but worth a look I think.

I have but one thing to say about the Diablo games......

Sound pretty good is it free or is there a 7 week to see if i like then buy it?

well, there is always an end goal in WoW. It's kill "this" person. Right now it's the Lich King. Or, is soon to be when they release a patch....

but when you kill him the game doesn't end... cause you can go kill him over and over and over. It doesn't really make sense... but it wouldn't be very fun if you could only kill every boss one time.

Diablo 2 you have to pay for, you can probally pick it up from any gaming store for $20, or $40 for the Diablo 2 Battle Chest (Includes Diablo 1, 2 and the D2 expansion pack).
But you don't have to pay anything else after that, you just play.

You can only play as a Barbarian in it and only up to the 2nd or 3rd map on the first area with the demo.

I have played so many free MMORPG's and I can't take the low quality anymore. I put the WoW battle chest on my Christmas list this year joining ShadowMoon when I get it all installed and stuff.

Cool Tell me if its good plz I starting to want to play some online games.

I got WoW like a week ago. It's pretty fun.

@Treelex: It's not bad. It's a bit addicting but think about it: lots of gamers spend tons of hours on several games, and the few hours at a time I play WoW just make up for the fact that I haven't played many other games in a while.

I hated WoW when I first played in 2008, but the new updates they provided make it actually pretty casual now. Got to level 20 without even trying, and they give mounts to level 20 players now.

So much easier than back in the day.

yup! I'm so bitter that I played 2 years ago and don't play now. The game is SO much easier now. I could probably level to 80 in the time it took me to get to 60 originally.

but I've given up the addiction and refuse to go back. It's just not worth it right now (and probably won't ever be).

The game is a bit over hyped in my opinion cause the only pc game I hear the most about is WoW which gets kinda iritating when you can't afford it and your comp won't accept the disk. But, I find it to be a good game just alittle to over hyped.

well, the commercials are getting annoying. I don't care that Mr T has a bomb that makes you look like Mr T. Or that William Shatner is a shaman.

But the game is still fun.

I've played it, and I reckon that it's okay, if you want to play a long game that will keep you entertained for months. I've only played it for an hour or so, so I don't know how the game really is, but judging from my friend's friends playing it, they love it. (btw, it's not a nerd game)

WoW is like Call of Duty to me. Both are mega-hyped and referred to as "a deadly addiction", yet upon trying them the addiction never touched me. I have a lot of games that I am more addicted to in my library.

I've palyed Diablo 2 online and throughly liked it because of the party system and story it had plus the secret *moo* level was great.

Moo? There a level about a cow or what? That sounds funny.

I played WoW off an on up till about a year. At the very beginning it was fun, but after a while too many people came in and now the game has turned itself into focusing on raiding. It can be fun if you want an easy game, but for the most part it is too simple of a game for me to really get into it. There is a reason why lots of little kids and older people (my mother who's in her mid 50's plays it) play it. It is simple to play, doesn't take a genius to figure out how to work it. Tons of people around, easy to make 'friends' (millions want you to join their guild so they can raid raid raid).

More hype than it's worth though. My boss at work plays WoW, has all the expansions, and raids just about every night with his guild. He has expressed to me that he is severely bored with it, but he hasn't left yet 'cause he wants to find another game first that he and his dad can play together. So yea, I bet you lots of WoW gamers are pretty much bored of it by now too.
