I'd love to compete with that, but... I don't feel like I'd come close. It'd need all the Chaos Emeralds plus 999 rings at the end of both Casino Night Zone acts. I'm not consistent with getting all the emeralds, and I don't have enough skill to dodge everything, let alone the luck to grind to 999 rings with the slots and still finish within 10 minutes. Considering my score when I played casually and with save states back when I did Let's Play videos on my channel, I'd need to pull that off to match or beat that score (and that's taking my score starting from Metropolis 1; I'd look at my final score from back then, but for some reason that particular video doesn't want to load).

Hey, you said you can't use life tricks to grind points. You said nothing about life tricks to grind rings to get 99,900 point bonuses in the casino levels. (You can't infinitely grind those anyway since you have to carry those rings to the goal and you can only do it twice in the game, though you get constant 1-ups from the rings to make up for the time over instances. So in a way, it could be grinding for points since you'd get constant 1-ups per 100 rings, allowing for a life grind, but it's not grinding for points since they aren't converted to points immediately and you have to survive the level with all of them, not taking hits that cost you your rings.)

You're not the only one who sucks at getting emeralds in S2.


But yeah, that grind thingy in you second paragraph is legit.
