Yeah...I can do it, but I don't. It is how you meet new people though, so when someone wants me to meet someone like when I am when my friends I would do it. But never to a stranger. I am also a keep to myself person. I used to be shy, but I am not anymore. Outside of this here, I am actually a quite mysterious person.

Why is everyone obsessed with going around and wasting other peoples time with their greetings as if a major difference to the outcome of their day can be made based on whether you've exchanged a pleasantry with them this morning.
My apologies to those who make the effort but I don't see the point and in my mind we all have places to go and people we would prefer to be with so leave the world to take care of itself. It's a big boy now.

It's different for each person.  We all give off a slightly different impression, and that can vary with mood as well.

I've never found it easy to randomly engage people in conversation.  I may try it more, but people are so distracted by cellphones and other junk, that it is harder than ever.  Especially with all the class, looks, and racial divisions people buy into these days.

Funny thing is that I'm usually open to a hello or conversation.
