Freya : What about Sega's Sonic Franchise, that was popular on their consoles.

BluemageKyle :  Sega's Sonic Franchise is dying.  They aren't producing enough ideas to keep him going.  I love Sonic, but with out new story why bother playing it.  So far all they got now is Sonic at the Olympic Games.  It is too easy and too short.  Sonic needs more games.  But no more racing games, unless the games match that of Sonic Riders 1

Nintendo Versus Sega ?
I would have to go with Nintendo merely because of the selection.
I like the way Sega made things look, BUT the controls for allot of their games gave the impression that their characters weighed about two tons OR two pounds. If they could have figured out a way to smooth that out, they might have been more popular. I liked the ideas Allot. Eternal Champions. Comix Zone. Zero the Kamikazi Squirrel. Toe Jam and Earl. Earthworm Jim. I don't think anyone can even say the titles out loud without laughing or smirking.
But Smooth Controls were not Sega's Strength as a console. We mostly played games on that for different ideas and cool music.
After the Play-station came out the rules of consoles completely changed and games were never the same.
Back to nintendo vs sega.?
Before Play-station, I had to go with nintendo on this one.
The way nintendo had standards was really something to consider when selecting a S.N.E.S. or Genisis when the time to "update" came into play. Sega had allot of great things but They still did not have as many sequels as nintendo had.
Everybody loves originality, But Sequels rule the game world.

Mark my vote for Nintendo.

Good Luck To Everyone.
That's it. I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.

Nintendo, hands down. Sega was cool in it's day, but it just couldn't keep up. Besides, if you put the games side by side, Nintendo just had more popular games. We had both and it was the Nintendo that got played a lot more often.
