I would say Call of Duty gets boring because the gameplay literally stays the exact same with each release. Also it seems whenever I start a Final Fantasy game, I'm in love with it and then I get bored and end up not playing it for a long time.

I buy games I like.
I do fall asleep playing Soul Calibur 4. It's a great game but the music got very sleep inducing.
I like sleeping so I pop that thing in and rock out till I'm out. I think I have made over 500 characters with the character creator. Every time I get a good Idea for one and I don't have the slots available I just open up a new profile and Jam till I get all the equipment needed.
The fact that I have overplayed this game is not what makes it boring. Its just the music. Many classical scores can put people to sleep if they hear them enough times. Others don't. Soul Calibur 2 had music that actually wakes you up. The track for the Character creator does not stimulate the imagination at all. I can practically feel my braincell count drop hearing it. Its hypnotic but sleep causing. Youngsters might find it irritating to no end. I wonder if that was intended or what happened due to circumstances.
Any way. That's my answer.

I get bored of games all the time. I am rarely playing one single game at a time; I usually have two or three going at the same time. When I hit something that stumps me, or when things get a bit too redundant  I take a break from one kind of game and move onto the next. I usually play different kinds of games-a shooter, a puzzle, an rpg, or some mix of those types. You'll probably never see less than four games active on my profile at any given time, lol.

I got bored of Runescape a while ago, thank goodness. When it comes to point and click MMOs I just don't see the appeal anymore. Also, I tried my best but I just couldn't get into Final Fantasy (the very first one). I'm not a person who's big on grinding to beat a game.

I have, doesn't mean I don't like video games, It depends on what game you play, you won't like every video game, but the ones you do like you play, and just because you get bored, doesn't even mean you don't like the game,  just that, you're content with how much you played. I love minecraft, I get bored of it now and then when I play survival, because once you get to the nether, you're done pretty much, not much else to do!

Well, of course I have. That has to be part of it, or they couldn't get you to buy new games, but naturally, you will get bored if you have been playing the same thing for a long time. But there was only one time where in real life I got bored of a game mid way through. It was Shrek 3 for the GBA, while I was trying to beat it all in under an hour, which wouldn't be to hard, considering it only had about 15 levels or something. But one level, I missed something that I needed in order to beat the game, so right there, I had a rage quit. And it was boring from the start. But I do get bored with most Pokémon hacks within the first ten minutes, just because there are so many of them.

I've gotten bored of a few games... because let's face it: not all games are all that great.

The original Dark Cloud got boring really fast for me (though I'm glad I still gave the 2nd game a shot).

Xenogears got boring (plot-wise) towards the end of the first disc because the story was just so poorly done... I only pushed through it because I liked the battle system enough and I was insistent on beating it before playing Xenosaga.

There's probably been a few others but they're likely so uninteresting, I don't even remember their existence now :p

No I never get bored of my favorite video game. I always keep playing until I really tired and need to sleep. I usually stay up all the night until 4:00 a.m.. Yeah I'll get bored of gaming a lot. As a matter of fact, I'm on a bit of a hiatus atm. I guess I can blame the fact that I spent over two weeks platinum Devil May Cry 3 and with Metal Gear Revengeance being a huge waste of money, that I feel so jaded playing on my PS3.
