When you see an image, and you put your mouse on it, and it changes? That was one of the earliest forms of "Dynamic HTML". When you go to microsoft.com and you see their little menubar, which makes a bunch of links appear when you put your mouse over them? That's DHTML. When you go to google.com, and the autocomplete feature tells you how many results each of the options you haven't typed in yet would potentially recieve, or you chat with other GMail users when they're online, that is DHTML (combined with a server-talking technology called Ajax).

More of what DHTML can do; Move images across the screen (best viewed here in IE-tab). Alter your rightclick menu to a menu customized for the site in question. Make it so you can drag and drop or resize images on the page you're looking at. Draw shapes and lines on the screen. All sorts of fun things...

And come to think of it, I actually remember a DHTML game of FF7. It was nothing like FF7, when you come to think of it, but it had the main characters...

I've heard of AJax before, would love to learn it.
So DHTML is pritty much content on a website, that can change, without the broswer having to reload? So, my menu buttons on my site (http://www.nowitsonlikedonkeykong.com) are sort of a from of DHTML?

A form, yes. They use the Javascript mouseover/hover event and the cascading stylesheets to effect the background color of the table row and the color of the links themselves.

scripts which change the appearance of the mouse cursor are also considered DHTML. Really, any combination of Javascript and CSS, to effect something cool looking is Dynamic HTML.

Cascading stylesheets with the 'hover' command, to tell it what it looks like? I'm sure it still uses the document object model thingy I hear so much about. I think that constitutes some DHTML too.
