Yea, but censorship is a bad thing; kids seeing blood and nudity has been happening for a while.

I can't conceive the idea of downloading a game off of a console, and I don't know why...you already can download stuff off of X-box Live. It would be awesome to see that happen though.

That one maybe kinda difficult to have happen. I mean M rated games can be sold to 7 year olds. And not everyone has a credit card and i know my parents don't like to use a credit card unless they have to. Plus interest on those are high.

Within 20 years it will all be credit cards.

1. Without a solid way to have money you cannot steal and the goverment can tax you anyway it wants.
2. Definately cheaper.

Also the windows gmaestation could play all X-Box games and previous Microsoft systems.

To once again fight against Cd's the more dta teh hold the less protected they are CD rot would come into effect much faster then 10-15 years.

Bah, Compact discs dominate the cartridge. Did we already prove that with the weenie zip dirive? Not to diss my beautiful sega or anyhting though. I don't think we can lump all the videogames together for download or anything, Just think about how crazy long it would take for a 4 gig game to download. Might as well have them ship it for under a dollar. I think there will be more options if you have a fatass but i think at least for the near future of gaming the games will stay on discs. That way you can move them around, lets say bring them to a friends house.

I don't know what your talking about with Microsoft not making anymore consoles... Thats why they've deemed it so important to get a good base? SO they can stop making consoles? I think not, but you seem sure. I think that the media mediums will come closer together, like having a game system and computer and tv and dvd on one big screen, but that won't be for a while.

But as for the near future, it seems like nintendo is again venturing out on a limb and making a revolutionary controller. One that you touch or somthing. Like if you were playing a football game you could feel the little dots on the football and throw it. The screenshots I've seen looked like this

///
////////
/ //////////
//////////////

In a round talllish shape.

I also heard that the next xbox will have only wirless controllers, i think thats cool because you don't even need controller ports in the system, just a single thing for reading wirless contollers, I mean WAY COOL, it seems like. Thats all for now

They are already working on to make binary obsolete. The next speed should be atleast 2-4 times faster. Also the technology will always find a way.

Well zip Disc didn't exactly come out at the correct time you see. With the holographic memory devices tho i think i'll switch to that for future video gaming. The next current hologram data device is expected to hold 1.6Tb(For the most part all the space you would ever need for any amount of games since its 1600gb) of data.

With DSL/Cable it wouldnt take that long to d/l a game, especially with internet connection base line speeds getting higher. What alternative is there to binary???

I have no idea. I do know soem group is researchign an altrnative. Light speed can't get any fatser so we need to increase the langauge speed. Binarary is just extrememly simple, anyone can understand it almost. Right now we use binaray which is on and off electrical currents or reflect/no reflect(for cd's) and the 2 different magnatizims used in a harddrive. I myself have no idea what it could possibly be but they won't undergo such a change without it astronomically increasing speed. The hardrive would be the simplest to make a different form simply because they could have like 10 different metals and have them change them with magnets.

Well I suppose I'll tell you what I think will happen, I think tv's and videogame consoles, and vcr's and dvd players, and computers will combine into one format. Kindof like they already are. If the internet connection speed speeds up, as I assume it will, we will have much more streaming options and will probably start streaming tv stuff off the internet. It could replace cable tv. But yeah... I don't think they'll revive cartridges. The closest thing I can see is would be like a minidisk. A cd type spinny thing in a cartidge type thing. Now days they have pockets hardrives that hold 80 gigs, and get all thier power from the usb port. So no need to plug them in.
