My views are that you can't help being gay, just don't act on those feelings. You basically have to be a virgin your entire life. Those gay correctional places only instill fear into the hearts of gay men to make them act strait. If you are attracted to females then your attracted to females and if you are attracted to males, you are attracted to males, and vise versa. God dosen't hate you because you are gay, he created you, he just dissaproves of you acting on you attractiveness to males. So the passage isn't stating that being a gay man or woman is bad and a sin, how can a person be a sin? It is that action of laying with other men or women as being a sin. Those are my beliefes.

God did refer to homosexuality as a shameful lust in Romans.

And Homosexuality is wrong and it's a sin. People claim that they are born that way, but in reality they want to justify their lifestyle. Like every human being there are temptations of sin. Yet they want work with that temptation.

I wasn't saying you tell people to go to hell to their face, just from the logic of gay being a sin sums up who they are and where they are headed. Some people are born gay and unnatural just like hermaphrodites. They can't help they are mixed gender. Not everyone is born natural many people are born with mental disorders or are disfigured its not their faults. It's not cause they choose to it just happens.

Someone can also technically "be gay" and not sin if they don't actually get intimate with another guy. Just because someone is gay doesn't make it an instant sin if they have not fallen for temptation. So you could probably look at it 50/50, god doesn't HATE gays but he will accept them I guess if they accept jesus as savior and don't give into temptation. Just taking a guess... but I guess that is how I would see it from gods eyes.

The sin of homosexuality is not different to other sins, like lying, stealing, lusting, blasphemy, etc. If we commit them, we deserve to go to hell. That is why Jesus, Faith, and Repentance is so important. Everyone needs their wages to be substituted by God's sacrifice.

Just like those that are "straight," whoever looks at a person to lust after them has already committed adultery in their heart (Matthew 5). God does not only sees actions, but also the heart and the thought life. No one has excuse.

The term adultery can be disputed for only married couples or beyond married couples so its a mixed bag there. If no one has an excuse then all married couples have committed adultery whether they look at another woman or not they have committed it in their hearts Think about it, you want a family there is only one thing to do, lust for each other to make it happen.

Keyword here is "Woman", never mentioned anything about man. Never mentioned anything about the woman doing it either. Just the man lusting another woman or a woman.

The word lust is talking about that unfaithful desire towards someone who is not your wife. If you check with other versions (courtesy to BlueLetterBible.org), lust is defined as "evil desires," "to desire her," "indulge sexual passions for her," "lustful intent"...all of these are talking about the thoughts towards the body and to want someone sexually. Not love. Jesus defines that as adultery already in the heart. You can argue that it is only towards men if you want, but the main point is that lust is a sin, and unless women don't have a problem with this sin (which they do), this applies to them as well.

Back on topic, does God say that homosexuality is a sin? Yes.
"You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable." (Leviticus 18:22)

This is not one of those cultural or priestly laws, this is a moral law. It has been mentioned again in the New Testament.

"Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God." (Matthew 6:9-10)

What about lesbianism? The Bible talks about it too.

"Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion." (Romans 1:26-27)

Lust and homosexuality are described as sinful, shameful, unnatural, perversion, and detestable. A homosexual relationship is not motivated by love, but by lust. You can say that you disagree about it, but don't say that the Bible does not say it. It's so clear and that is the viewpoint.

Well, it is very clear what the bible says about homosexuality. But what do Christians who were former homosexuals have to say what it was like? Christians who were homosexuals defined it as a lustful compulsion or an alcohol addiction.
