KlawedFlaw : Yea, it does the opposite of what it is suppose to do to normal people (make them hyper), it makes ADHD people sleepier .

That was mainly the only reason I reply.

And my answer is : I don't care, mostly it will be a no, but I don't like soft drinks or energy drinks due to high sugar, and I am not trying coffee until I am older.

JigSaw : I'd actually say cigarettes are healthier mentally. I mean, a caffeine overdose will screw with your head for most people, and alcohol... What is the officer problem? That's all I need to say about that subject.

Obviously, a cigarette is the most unhealthy of the three choices if you mean what it does to your body. Caffeine is proven to help prevent early onset Alzheimer's, for one. With all the caffeine consumed by me, who wants to bet I will be giving myself showers at the age of 90? I drink three cups of coffee, take pills with caffeine as a part of the stimulant chemical composition, drink soft drinks before bed... Yeah. If not, man, I sure pity the person caring for me by the time I get that disease. They'll be hearing old stories about how I tried to beat Tak 2, and failed.

Speaking of which... I need to pull that game out. It was a great game, and I could possibly beat it now that I am better at that kind of stuff.

I think that caffeine can be more dangerous to some people than cigarettes or alcohol. However, in general, I think it's fine in small amounts. In large amounts, it can prove addicting. My opinion of caffeine is that it shouldn't be consumed so casually and we should be careful not to take so much when we choose to consume it.

I think that term drug is just too strong. I mean, as long as you don't drink cafe each 5 minutes, it can't really harm you like cigarettes, cocaine or marijuana. And if you say it's a drug you have to think on manners to prevent people of consuming it and, in my opinion, this is a little extreme

Really it shouldn't because all it does is help wake u up. Other than that it's usually just a regular hot drink.

flambeau : Just because something's a drug doesn't mean it has to be regulated or a subject of concern. I have a good amount of caffeine, and I'm okay because it affects me differently. I'm an exception for the most part. It is important for college students, as most never learn how to use their time wisely, so they use caffeine normally. Some do fake ADD or ADHD to get the pills for those, but those... I won't say another word about. Let's just say I will lose respect for you if you're in college, and are using the medication I take just to do homework. Thanks.

Anyway, pot is much safer than tobacco, so it is only regulated because it probably gives cops a crapload of paycheck updates, for one. For another, it just is the best excuse machine ever. "Oh, well... We don't want people high."

If you don't want someone high, ban everything. It's easy to get high thanks to the invention of markers, paint, and glue. I'd so huffing would go down a lot if we let certain "dangerous" drugs be legal. I know my opinion is very flawed, but I keep noticing a trend in this thread. People are saying that drugs are to be dangerous for them to be drugs. Yeah, they are dangerous, but we don't call glue a drug. We don't call markers one. We don't call paint a drug.

If danger is the reason to call something a drug, we better call tons of things a drug, because how many things can one get high or drunk off legally? Tons.

Coke was in coca cola for a time, as well. Coke is supposed to be a medical drug, but it isn't used anymore. It's kinda like caffeine if you think about it. It is illegal now, but back when coca cola came around, we all got ourselves some legal coke for a short time. Then we just got something kids could get hyper off of...

Here's the summery of this mess of thoughts:

A drug isn't always a label that means danger. It is simply something that we take to improve our quality of life, but is now twisted into something we think is stuff like weed(which is actually safer than tobacco), cocaine(which should only be used for medical reasons), and pills. Drugs are good when used for the right reasons. Caffeine is no different.

Abuse of all drugs is bad. Use of drugs for good is okay. The end of this long rambling post.
