hoguan: Thanks, need all the encouragement I can get lol. I definitely think I'm on track to run a marathon by July 29th, probably a few weeks sooner than that.

David: Wow, congratulations on that 6 miles. Hilly roads are always the hardest.

JigSaw: You should start excercising a bit.

hypermonkey: One of the hills I do is nearly 1 quarter mile long and is so steep that some tractors even have a little difficulty getting up. Thankfully I don't do that entire hill, only half of it since the end of our driveway meets at the middle of that hill so I only do the upper half of it when I start my route (but I do it a few times per a run since I run to the end of the road and back which is 2 miles). I have successfully biked up the entire thing while sitting down the whole time, felt like puking afterward lol.

JigSaw: If you ever consider running, you don't have to overdo it, you can simply just go for as long as you can and don't start out with a fast pace, do whatever pace you feel comfortable. The feeling after running you really can't get from anywhere else, you're overall mood increases, you feel really good about yourself and as I already mentioned, you're mind is more clear and focused which can make studying and programming easier.

WOW. I am salaaming at my computer toward you. I can manage some pretty big hills on my bike, but something that long, especially sitting down, is nearly unimaginable.

hypermonkey: Well I've got a lot of practice on my exercise bike which I exercised on once a week during the summer. Also I had a few failed attempts weeks before that successful ride lol.

I've always been bad at running, but for some reason if I run inside or go on exercise bike I can last a long time. Must be the air outside, also 1 mile above sea level maybe that is why?

I don't mean to get graphic here and for those sensitive, don't read any further. Might take a while for my toe to heal, I've got a blister which goes around half of my entire big toe on my right foot

My wife teases me because I've been walking around like an old man since I'm trying to keep my toes off the ground since they are what is sore and blistered lol.

2 Miles on Hilly Road. Not a lot, in fact I'm very disapointed. 3 reasons why I wasn't able to go far far:

1. There's nearly a 25 degree temperature difference since I last went running so that's a bit tricky to get adjusted to (was a little over 80)

2. I didn't get enough fluids in my body and drank to much caffeine. Usually when it's really hot I dehydrate fast if I don't get enough to drink before running.

3. Been almost 3 weeks since I last ran (this is due to my feet and toes needing the extra time to heal)

I'll probably make another attempt within a few days. Other than the lack of fluid, everything else went fine.

You're disapointed with running 2 miles? I can't run from my house to my mailbox, which is only across teh road and down 1 house, and back without panting. Long story short, 2 miles is great.

I'm capable of of probably 1/4 of a mile. Would you be more disappointed by being able to run a gigantic 12 miles, or of less than a single mile.

I suppose you guys are right but what makes it disappointing is that I'm behind on my preparation for the Marathon, I have a little over 2 months left. I guess it doesn't matter when I run it but I just want to prove to myself that I'm capable of going through with the plan I set out which was to be able to run it by my 25th Birthday.
