Grand Theft Auto V Review by: zanderlex - 9.9/10
Grand Game 2This isn't meant to be a full general review of GTA V because I already made a massive review of the game for PS3, so im only going to be referencing bits and pieces from there while mainly going to go over the new PC upgrades and how awesome they are.
I knew I wanted to play this game but I also knew I had no way of getting it because of the price but thankfully I had managed to get my hands on the game and I was super excited about it. I immediately went out and bought an XBox One controller just so I could fully experience the game and Im glad to say I don't regret it. I have a very powerful Windows 8 touch screen laptop yet I kept getting messages saying I was missing stuff and the game wouldn't play at its best. Even so, within playing the game for just a couple of minutes I could see and feel the upgrade from PS3, it was so much better.
GRAPHICS 10/10
The graphics are already spectacular and male the game look amazing because everything is so clear and has so much detail. First off you have the setting such as the buildings and cars, you have the characters, the scenery, it all looks beautiful. For the PS3 version I was in love with the way the game looked and I thought that the graphics were perfect but this game takes the graphics to a whole new level with 4K resolution and an astonishing 60 Frames Per Second. I dont know what the FPS rate was for other games in the series but I know that 60 is a masterpiece, heck the Hobbit movies were filmed with an FPS rate of 48! It was perfect before but the grade can only go up from here so its going to be another 10 out of 10.
SOUND 10/10
Not only does the game have some amazing music, but great sounds in general no matter what's going on. The game not only has some great original music but has all of their radio stations and combined you can listen to dozens of songs, but that's just the start. There's a new feature called Director Mode and because of this, not only is there a new radio station for you to listen to but there's also a giant collection of new music for you to work with. Just like the graphics, this aspect of the game was already perfect and it only got better so my grade for this is yet another perfect 10 out of 10.
ADDICTIVENESS 10/10
The game already had so much for you to do and now it has a ton more. In addition to the normal stuff that you can do such as high speed chases, missions, flying jets and more, there's now a new assortment of weapons, vehicles, and maybe even missions as well. The original version of this game was already much bigger than any of the other games in the series and then this one foes onto add so much more for you to do. This isn't the kind of game where you're going to do something once and then you get bored of it, no you're going to want to do everything over and over again and you're going to want to play for as many hours as you possibly can because its that much fun. This game is beyond addicting and gets yet another perfect 10 out of 10.
STORY 9/10
I don't really think that there's anything new added to the main story of the game so im not really going to add stuff to here. Its the same story as the original version had so much to it, it was long and it was fun to pay attention to so my grade for story is going to stay as a 9 out of 10.
DEPTH 10/10
There was already so much to the game and now there's even more. First you have the setting which was already huge with so many different places for you to explore, and then you have all the missions, cars, weapons, and more. The depth of the game was already perfect but there's much more now. If I could, just the new assortment of vehicles and weapons would add on a whole extra point to the graze. On top of that you have Director Mode which could probably end being a game on its own bases on all the stuff you can do with it and for that the grade will be yet another perfect 10 out of 10.
DIFFICULTY 6
I would say that the game is just a bit more difficult than the other versions but that's only because you are using the keyboard unless you are like me and get a controller. Other than that there isn't really a change in difficulty, its still about the same because for the most part you aren't really doing anything different. The game can be tough if unless you get used to the buttons and my grade for difficulty will be a 6.
OVERALL 9.9/10
Overall, it's still amazing, the grades individually didn't change but if I could give each of them higher than a 10, then I would because most of these categories are much better than the other versions. It's so much better than the PS3 version and I really suggest that you get this version, even if you have already played a couple other versions because it's worth it and my grade for this game is going to be a 9.9 out of 10.
