Need for Speed ProStreet Featured Review

Need for Speed ProStreet Review by: thing1 - 6.7/10

A Wii racing game - Not Half bad.
Alright, time for another thing1 Game Review. This game I played all the way through, and actually beat.

The game is Need For Speed: Pro Street. The game itself is ok. But when you factor all the components for a Vizzed Review into it? Gosh, it really sucks. And here is why:

The graphics are a 5. For a newer Wii game, they are not so good. I mean, they just are not that good. So bad, they do not even deserved to be talked about, because I really do not know what to say about them.

The sound gets a 6. I mean, the sound is O K, and the sounds the car makes are O K, at best, but the music is so darn repetitive, it practically sucks. Then you got the guy in the background that is supposed to be the announcer at all the events. He gets annoying after a few events. Seriously though, there is not much to say about the sound either.

The addictiveness of the game is a 4. I played this game for a day or two once I got it. As soon as I got a new game, I only touched this game once my other games ticked me off enough to put them down. The only reason this game is getting as high as it is is because I could actually play it on occasion.

The story gets a 4. There really is not much of a story. You keep showing this guy up, that is supposed to be, like, the best of the best. And you keep showing him up at each event that he actually comes to. Once you get so far in the game, you have to show him up and beat him. So basically, the only story is to keep showing this guy up.

The depth of the game is a 5. The game is about the same thing. Each drag event, each speed event, each race event, and each points event (I can not actually remember the name of that event, but each lap is divided into 4 sections, and you have to get through them as fast as you can. If you beat the time, you get whatever score you got, and keep it, even if it is beaten). They are about the same on each track too. The only real difference is a few of the turns, and that give you a few different tracks here and there. The game does take a while to beat, so that is why it is getting the score I am giving it.

The difficulty is a 5. The only reason it is getting a 5 is because you actually have to know how to do a little bit of math so your cars can the right stats for each event.

Now, I usually do not do this, but I am going to talk about some of the game play.  At each "event" you go to, you get your car and aback-up one. If there are more than one types of races, then you get another car, which you have set aside for that genre of race type.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, try to play this game with the remote, and no nun chunk. It is damn near impossible to do.

So overall, the game gets a 6.4, even though I usually average out each individual section score (which would have been a 4.8 . The game I enjoyed at first, and could actually get used to the game play, so that is why it is getting the 6.4.

Hope you enjoyed this review, and that you do not play this game, unless you are a huge fan of Street Racing games that do not let you roam the city, even if there was one.
