spiderman in 3dThe 64 bit spider man is 1 of the few games in Gen 5 that is not an exclusive for the n64 or the original PlayStation and is instead of it made on both systems. This game is pretty much the same on both systems except for the fact that the ps1 version has real cut scenes instead of just pictures and this version also has slightly better graphics, but does that say i like it? Lets find out
graphics: 9 yeah i areaddy said this version has better graphics than the n64 version even thought its a just slightly improvement. The cut scenes are looking pretty good for a 64 bit game as well and are way less lazy then those pictures on the n64 version. They are pretty well detailed as well, and unlike mega man 8 (SPOILER FOR A PREVIOUS REVIEW) they really made use of the 3d engines of the ps1 so that's why i rate the graphics so much higher here.
sound: 6 I'm not goanna lie, hearing the characters talking al the time (even at very random points) can be very annoying. Also the music is not very memorable to me and i barely hear anything because the characters talk way too much. But why are the sounds higher than a 5 you may ask? Well even thought the characters talk a bit too much for me, i still have to admit that the voice acting was very well done and some sound effects where pretty sweet, so the sound gets a 6 out of 10
addictiveness: 9 this game is a very addictive one. You might think: how is that possible? Its a freaking movie game, these are always bad! Well if you really think so then i disagree. Sure some movie games suck but i could find at least a little enjoyment out of most of the movie games i've played (keep in mind that i haven't played superman 64). This game is no exception. The game play is very addictive because you can get pretty much anywhere because of spidey's web shoot powers. That makes the game feel like you can explore pretty much everything in each level, so it really feels like an adventure. Overall the game is addictive
story: 9 yeah i've seen many people giving the story a 10 out of 10 and i can understand why so much people like the story, but i can kind of consider it as overrated that way. The story was good being that a fake spider man appears and lets people think spider man is a criminal so he wants to find out who did this. O yeah and his wife is kidnapped by venom. I like the story but its really not perfect in my eyes
depth: 5 if i am completely honest, there is not much to do in this game when you completed the entire story mode. I mean sure you can still try to collect all comic books and suits or costumes, but overall its still a bit on the shallow side
difficulty: 6 from 2 insanely hard and frustrating games at once to a game that is more on the easy side. This game is not that hard, and honestly it brings me quite a bit out of the frustration of the last 2 games i reviewed. This game is pretty easy to play out and even has a kids mode that makes it even easier. So i rate 6 in difficulty.
overall this game is not really for everyone i guess, but it can be quite enjoyable if you play it for especially the game play so that's why i overall rate an 8.5
