Rayman ReviewHello....its been a while since I have done my reviews. I am so sorry for the wait that I have may caused. I was dealing with some issues to do with this. I hope that I have not lost my touch for doing this. And also I hope you enjoy reading this review. ^^
Rayman Review
Story 7 out of 10: The story starts off with people seen being captured by the pirates, on a pirate ship. All hope seems to be lost as rayman himself is captured. His friend somehow did a plan to get to him, so he brought some powers for rayman by a special fairy. They both escape the pirate ship, little do they know of what is in store for them. They go on an adventure stopping the pirates from raiding, to save people and to stop the pirate lord himself. It has a great plot because it has that vibrate feeling of a game, when going on an adventure. That would interest you more to the point that other things happen. And you will discover more as you play the game. It also has some comedy as well in it. I find it funny how the whole story is plotted and the big bad pirate boss. He’s not that bad looking pirate that you would see as a boss lol.
Graphics 8 out of 10: This game came out in 1999 so it will be an old school game. Though it may be, it has a little 3d effect, and also in 2d with paper looking in it as well. I will try to explain. What I mean is that the characters look 3d. While the scenery is mostly in 2d paper looking wise, with a little of 3d look as well. When you knock down something, lets say a door. It will burst open and fall down like a paper and disappearing after that. Do you now understand what I mean? I also love it when you come to the *hall of doors* that for when you go to another world after completed one. To me I find it amazing of the way it looks like. All around its dark but mostly on the bottom and it is full of stars showing. Also there's a whirlpool showing you what worlds you have completed, and ones that is new. The water does look a bit odd. Its not your average normal ones that you would see.
Sound 7 out of 10: The music is great also, but there not much talking going on with these characters. They do have sound voice, but the way that they use it is different. Its only used for expressions only. For rayman it is mostly used for on the gameplay. Either when jumping, shooting or attacking enemies. Oh, I mentioned a bit about the hall of doors before. The music for that sounds mysterious so you would be thinking this. What’s going to happen next?
Addictiveness 7 out of 10: This game is something that you would play over and over again. If you don’t feel that there are addictive worlds that you would re play. Or just the challangeable ones. For me I just like to reply over, as it is a fun and enjoyable game to play.
Depth 6 out of 10: Rayman has a few challengeable places, but not so much. Although rayman has been around for a long time it has other sequel games. And a lot if I may say I personally love this game better than the others. I mean when I first heard about rayman raving rabbids, I thought that is the weirdest game name that I have ever heard. Try out rayman games to see which one that you like the best.
Difficulty 5 out of 10: It has a standard mode, so its pretty straight forward game to play. And of course the only hard parts would be the boss and the challenge places. That’s about it, its not so easy and not so hard to play.
Overall 8 out of 10: All around it’s a great game to play, and with good plots and music. Its one of those few games out there that you would want to play as, it is a platform gameplay. So if you adore platform games then I suggest that you try and take a swing at this one, to see what you think of it. I really enjoy playing this as I have played it for years. And I am sure you would enjoy it as well.
