thenumberone : It sounds like you're wrong. Where is the study that talks about people committing suicide after being cut off from weed?

death_nation : "I don't drink so I can't stand alcoholics nor smokers No Weed shouldn't be legalized"

...

Translation: I don't do something and I can't stand other people doing it. So no one should be allowed to.

Raymanrulz : I know you said that it wasn't a very good example, but I just wanted you to know that it was actually a terrible, awful, horrible example. In Tetris blocks fall from the sky, so we better not eat apples, eh?

Anyway, I still feel like evolution is largely being left out of this. At one point in time we were conquering other countries and enslaving our own kind so as to make them work on plantations and in brothels. I'm not saying that behavior has entirely stopped - it hasn't. There are are still slaves in the modern world, and some conquest still happens. However, this behavior has greatly reduced as we've evolved technologically and socially. Is it too optimistic to imagine that this trend will continue until wars are no longer a problem?

Not surprised even slightly, Fox News blows.

I really wish I could find the clip of Celo Green singing f*** You but replacing the words "f*** you" with "Fox News". It was hilarious. However, only one source on the web seems to have it and they're eternally down... :-(

You posted your reply twice somehow. Be weary of that back button.

Anyhow, I guess I'm not willing to totally discard the possibility that we will eventually evolve into a species that doesn't have disagreements which lead to bloodshed.

Possible? Yes. Lots of things are possible. It's possible that at the very moment of you reading this you will win the lottery.

I think it's definitely possible. Likely? Maybe not. On the other hand, I don't take such a negative view to this as many of you seem to. It seems we're not taking into account the possibility that humanity will evolve into a more enlightened species.

To better define Cait Sith for those who haven't played FF7:

Cait Sith is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII. He is a cat riding a giant stuffed toy Moogle, working as a fortune-teller in the Gold Saucer. He is really a puppet controlled from far away by Reeve Tuesti, Shinra Electric Power Company's head of Urban Development. Even though Reeve works with the antagonist corporation Shinra, he develops a keen interest in saving the Planet, making Cait Sith useful to the party, as he knows all about the Shinra's plans. Despite his playful and carefree persona in the form of Cait Sith, Reeve is actually a somber and serious man, though he does harbor a good heart with a natural worry for others.

I not only see reincarnation as being possible, but I find it quite likely. It just seems to make sense to me; just like it makes sense that electricity goes to the ground. I could think of a few scenarios of reincarnation, also. The metaphysical one in which some sub life-form that's using the three-dimensional body as a host leaves and finds another host when the body dies, and the physical one in which the big bang just keeps repeatedly happening. (IE, matter is distributed, collapses, and the same matter is redistributed again. It's like rolling an incomprehensibly large number of dice forever. The likelihood of hitting the same or even a very similar scenario twice (for instance, all of history as we know it happening again or happening again with minor differences) may seem low given the number of dice, but when forever is taken into account it radically changes the game.

On another note...

billythekidmonster :  I am a Christian I believe we go to heaven, that is if you are a Christian and if you are not. Sorry your kind of screwed.

So you don't believe that God makes exceptions? What if you were not raised Christian but you've never committed a sin and you have done plenty of good for others in your life?

geeogree : I'll probably stick around and post some.
legacyme3 : Who are you on the other board?

I've noticed that when I tried to upload a new avatar it didn't work; it just replaced my old one with a missing image... Also I may have spoofed by birthday when I registered here a long time ago, but I'm definitely not 41. Maybe I should PM Davideo7 to change my birthdate to 12/22/89. (Wouldn't mind changing the name to Dekker, either.)

Someone70 : I think you hit the nail on the head with "all it takes is a little acceptance".

billythekidmonster : "Sorry to get technical on you but if a girl is "gay" that would mean that they are a lesbian. If a girl was gay that would mean that they are straight. Either way I take that you mean your sister is a lesbian." - Ummmm... I know plenty of lesbians who refer to themselves as "gay"...

epicpokenerd! : "Well, yeah, I guess you're right." - No, he's not. Don't give up so easily.

I was raised a Unitarian Universalist, and I've always been taught that it's okay to be whatever sexuality you want. We look at homophobia the same way others look at racism. Hate is hate, and it's all bad.

Note that I'm not necessarily saying that all homophobic people hate homosexuals. Although I don't agree that homosexuality is a sin, I'm much more willing to accept the ideology of "hate the sin, not the sinner" than "god hates fags".

Although it comes as no surprised to me that Vizzed is still alive and well, it is somewhat surprising that my account still exists. I guess that means you must still be running Acmlm (unless you imported the users table; I suppose that is hypothetically possible) albeit it looks a lot different than I last remember it. (Also you removed the Powered By! )

Anyhow, I was recently hit with a wave of nostalgia and have been registering on all the Acmlm-based or Acmlm-community-based boards I could find that still exist. So, here I am!

(I'm also still registered on Xeo, but I can't remember the damn password. I'd create a new account but I like being userid 187 instead of 934.)

EDIT: Y U no have IRC channel?

I mean is it just me or has death by sting rays been increasing? Or is it the fact that no one really cared about killer sting rays until Steve Urwin got killed by one?

Could sting rays possibly become the next sharks of the water?

Actually that made it pretty obvious that it was a freak coincidence. I'm pretty sure that sting ray was not maliciously attacking anyone.

You have demonstrated your ignorance. Nothing in that movie was propaganda - a word which you don't even know how to spell.

Why aren't senators and reps doing anything about this? If you had listened to the movie which you deemed a load of 'propoganda' then you would have known that this was addressed. There are people doing things about this, unfortunately, they are not doing nearly enough. (Because a large percentage of the population doesn't even believe that it exists or that it will affect their children's lives.)

Nothing to do with global warming? Yes, there was climate change before we were burning oil. However, it was not at nearly the severity and it took place over a much larger period of time.

Geeogree: Only five degrees Celsius? Not much? A three degree shift brought us out of an ice age! Some parts of the world being too hot to live in is the least of our concerns. The concern is flooding, weather changes, and the possibility of skin cancer becoming an epidemic. Also, if climate changes too fast for plant life to adapt to it then we are all dead.

Who says God doesn't have limits? Whether there are natural restrictions we couldn't understand or whether there are restrictions that he/she/it imposes upon himself/herserlf/itself for sake of keeping order.

Frankly, the God that I could believe exists isn't some kind of magical and omnipotent being, I believe that in some sense God would be a creature also - probably with its own God above it and peers as well.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
