This layout I have does not work with the length of this review but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ (tell me if I should switch to the default layout for easier viewing) Anyways, I’ve been playing this game for awhile (about 500+ hours and S+ nyau), and if you guys were wondering where I was, it was mostly playing the game itself (vacation and school too, but irrelevant). With my massive amount of experience with the game, I’m hoping that you guys can buy it and enjoy it too! The game is fairly popular, but deserves more attention than it should, as a lot of competitive NA people are on hiatus/left it now. Moving on, let’s start! Story – 4 The story, or Octo Valley, is relatively simple, it’s nothing groundbreaking I feel. You, the new “Agent 3” have been recruited to save Inkopolis from impeding destruction from the Octolings, as the Great Zapfish, Inkopolis’ main power source has been stolen. There are some spoiler-ish parts that are in this story if you deeply and fondly care for it. The main purpose of it is to teach the mechanics of the game, and with a cute story; points for effort though. Visuals/Graphics – 9 The graphics are very smooth and the game itself is very colorful. They try to make the colors blend in well with each other, as the color matchups are very easy to see except for some parts (Transformers v Decepticons and reading Killer Wails coughcoughcough). The game has its own style and flair that I truly and heavily love, and it’s really adorable. The game runs in at a solid 60, with the exceptions for the Plaza (iirc) and Battle Dojo. During Splatfests, the maps are all in nighttime, in which ink glows and looks amazing. Sound – 8 The sounds itself sounds very nice, especially in the ink. All the guns sounds crisp. There’s a certain depth to the sounds itself, in which that the devs also handmade some of these sounds themselves, which is pretty neat. Certain sounds (full charge shot hit + blaster direct hit) are also very satisfying when you do it yourself, like you’ve accomplished something, haha. The music is also appealing, as it does give the game more personality, as most shooters don’t even have background music to begin with. The game has approximately 8-10 tracks to cycle though, but it’s hardly noticeable what music you’re hearing since you’re mostly concentrating on what you’re doing. It can get old sometimes though, especially during splatfests; as there are only 2 exclusive tracks that are available during that time (Ink me Up and then Now or Never!). This can be very repetitious as you usually play about 2-5 hours of Splatoon to get to Eternal/King/Queen rank, so I wish for there to be more variety. Eventually in a future wish for more music down the line, but I haven’t gotten old of 2.0 music anyways. Gameplay – 9 Okay here’s something that makes me just everything, this game is just too fun. Everything’s very balanced, despite what everyone says. The main thing that distinguishes this games from others is the fact that you can become a squid and hide in your ink! This makes the main part of the gameplay, inking, very viable to you and your teammates, as they weaken your enemy and can even the smallest puddle of ink can save your life sometimes. There are currently four modes in this game, which are: Turf War, Splat Zones, Tower Control, and Rainmaker, which I will go in depth. There is also the story, and there’s Battle Dojo, the local multiplayer (kinda fun) mode. Turf War, or for short, TW, is the main advertised mode of Splatoon. The main objective you ask? Just shoot the floor. No questions, just do it, and you’re already playing! This is a fun mode to play with a simple concept to grasp. There’s no real penalty for losing too, all the points gained from there will be given as gold. My only few qualms with this mode is that the last 15 seconds, you can easily win the game. I guess that’s pretty enraging for those who are into it. I used to enjoy this mode until I slowly got more into competitive. Now, I kinda dislike the mode, and now I only play it for Splatfests and to test my connection for disconnecting. Splat Zones, or SZ, was the second mode released on Splatoon (and first ranked mode) when enough people reached level 10. The main objective here is to capture the zone, or zones on some maps for a certain period of time. In order to capture the zone, you have to ink it until it’s captured. This mode can take awhile, and can be the longest during overtime depending on how much is left on the enemy team’s timer+penalty. In my opinion, this isn’t my most favorite mode out of the three, but it is the most competitive out of the three. Tower Control, or TC, was the third mode released, and the last mode before the 2.0 center of the map and ride it into an area close to the enemy’s spawn. Many weapons can flourish here, blasters, rollers, and most shooter weapons can be used in unique ways. It can be a very contested mode, and the most enjoyable out of the three. Rainmaker, or RM, was the final mode released for the Ranked rotation (until there are new modes announced/datamined). The objective is to grab the rainmaker in the center, and carry it to victory. Being the carrier is difficult, as you have a penalty on swim speed and run speed, but it can easily be fixed with run speed and swim speed abilities on your clothing. This mode is fun, but difficult, as one small mistake could ruin the whole thing. I feel like this is a fairly enjoyable mode with squads, as it tests your teamwork, situational awareness, and map awareness. Battle Dojo, the local multiplayer mode is where you and a friend can play Splatoon in the same room. One person has a classic controller, pro controller, or classic pro and plays on the TV screen and the other player has the gamepad, and views the screen in the gamepad. You are locked into a limited are the original maps that came with the game, and without any new ones. The main objective here is to get 30 points by popping balloons before your opponent can. You can give them a penalty by splatting them, which makes them lose points. Around the maps are boxes with power up cans (or whatever they’re called), that have specials, (excluding killer wail and kraken iirc) or can make you super jump to switch places, or just some sub weapons, such as the sprinkler. This mode is fairly fun with friends despite its limitations. Overall, the game is fairly fun, even though it has some annoyances that I may or may not have covered well. Depth – 7 “It’s just a shooter! What kind of shooters have depth in them?” Although Splatoon may be a shooter and does not give the best first impression, it gives a great amount of depth Each weapon has their own strengths and weaknesses, and each loadout makes everything different. Specials and subweapons are a big part of the game and help you gain the advantage over enemy. Even the clothing you wear along the brands you have help further your cause with unique abilities. The amount of balance within the game is great, as proven through the 2.2 Difficulty – 8 This game is surprisingly difficult once you have the ambition to go higher and strive to be better at the game. The skill level for this game is high, and I consider myself a mediocre player. All the techniques and such will be difficult, as well learning more and more about your weapon as you go through the ranks. You may even consider reaching out to weapons not about your comfort zone, as it will help you gain a better understanding of what your opponents are using. S and S+ squads are the real test, as they usually *coughs* usually are a test of teamwork and coordination with your friends or team. Addictiveness – 6 The reason I give this is that, it can burn you out sometimes. Several hours of the same mode, and constant frustration can just turn you away from the game from several hours. If the concept gets you, and you love the system, then you’ll have a lot of fun meeting new people and playing tournaments and splatfests. Overall The game is fairly fun and I enjoy it a lot, this game isn’t for everyone of course, but I consider it a must have for every Wii U owner. The amount of enjoyment you can get out of this is astounding! The constant stream of one of the games that I’ve played for a while, and I surely hope that you guys pick it up also! Japan has enforced a new law which will start tomorrow. They'll be taking down a handful illegal anime and manga sites. We'll be required to pay for these services on platforms such as Crunchyroll and Funimation, in which that we don't have the income or credit/debit card to pay for it. This will greatly decrease the amount of anime fans in the world. How will you handle the situation? Source 1 Source 2 Source 1 Source 2 |

I was so hesitant on what to say, sorry for being a day late. D: Moving on, you are one of, and the greatest best friend I've ever had thus far. You're kind, so nice, fun, and awesome! I've always been occupied with other things, but I try my best to make time to talk to you! I really do enjoy myself talking to you and let's hope it'll still be like this for the future! Let's hope you'll stay here for a very long time! <3 Moving on, you are one of, and the greatest best friend I've ever had thus far. You're kind, so nice, fun, and awesome! The beginning is kinda weird, but it's a great review. Though sound and depth can go a little more explanation. Does it have any extras to go for? How does the music sound? I haven't played the game yet, so I'm not sure, and maybe others don't know these elements. |

I don't, and I don't think I have been since I came here. I usually close the window, and then I'm done. I don't use public or other people's computers that often, but I still close the window on there too. (Really stupid I know) |

Not in Mario Kart 8, especially in split screen. They actually try to cover the screen. I can't really see except for the corners, you can't really see what's ahead. Though if you do have the gamepad as a map, it won't work as well. Other games are failed attempts. |

I signed up for Paper Mario. I haven't heard of it, and it looked so great. So the best course of action was looking for emulators. Lo and behold Vizzed stood triumphantly in Google. I signed up and downloaded the plugin (I thought this was 13 plus, so I lied about my age; immediately asked for it changed), and played the games to my hearts content. I guess I'm still here now and not very memorable to say the least. |

I loved reading this even though the layout made it hard to read since the posting area is so tiny and the font is a little large. Then again, my layout's posting area is small also. You went in a super good amount of depth into each category and without a single amount of repetition. It has every good aspect of what a good review.
