Around 1600-1800 hours of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. Yes, of all games, a Mario & Luigi RPG is easily my most played game. The game on second place would be Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, which has about 700-800 hours of playtime. Unlike EX Palen, however, I didn't spend so much time on SA2B because of the Chao World, I just like to speedrun that game, same for MLDT. Never thought that Dream Team would be the game I would speedrun the most, though.

If I had a better computer and more privacy those numbers would be a lot higher lol

Oh boy now this is a question for me. So I personally like to speedrun, and the types of speedruns I especially like the most are the long ones. My favourite speedruns are all really long speedruns, and of all of those speedruns my absolute favourite speedrun without exception is Sonic Adventure 2: Battles "180 Emblems".

My current PB for that category is around 13 hours something (world record is under 9 hours), but my first speedrun of 180 Emblems was 18:04:40. Although it isn't listen on Speedrun.com. Unfortunately it also appears that the video of it does not exist anymore...

My most recent play session that was 10+ hours in one go was Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe "Kirby Master" speedrun (except I gave myself the goal to get all songs, which for me is true 100%), which had a time of around 11 hours. Unfortunately the video got corrupted and I only noticed it 2 hours after corruption, so I lost 2 hours of footage, so I never uploaded the videos. That was back in June 2023.

TLDR 18 hours straight of gaming Sonic Adventure 2 back in April 2019, from ~8pm to ~2pm, and most recent 10+ hours was Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe in June 2023 from 12pm to 1am ish.

Bump.
I think what could be done is whenever someone edits one of their closed threads, the edit gets logged somewhere that local moderators can access and moderators of specific forums where the edit happens. That way moderators can regularly see new edits and moderate the changes. How do moderators do it for posts that are open anyway? I bet there's a post of mine I could edit that's still in an open thread from years ago, so I'm wondering how that would be moderated and what the difference is.

And honestly I would love to have the ability to edit some of my closed threads or posts inside of closed threads. Even if only one person sees it every year, some of those posts need clarifications but are not so urgent that I would contact a moderator.

That's all. Hope y'all have been going great! Love you vizzed and thanks for defining part of my childhood and giving it some light where I needed it <3

greenluigi :

I wouldn't say it feels like yesterday but I suppose that's mostly because, well, a lot of stuff happens within 2557 days (includes leap days!). But it sure feels like the day before yesterday. Also, whoops, completely forgot to continue talking about my name. I added it at the end of the thread but I was also supposed to say that I, after a history of names, now go by Olivia (since 2018), lol.

Thanks for the wishes. Shout outs to my girlfriend and her family for being awesome

Hiya, "Jms" here. 7 years ago I registered on this site for video games, but every single anniversary I was either not able to post anything OR I just simply forgot. This is my first time ever being able to post about one of my anniversary, so here I am lol. I did make quite a few friends after signing up due to being very active in the chats and forum. 2014 and 2015 were some of my best years of my life, mostly because of being on Vizzed.

I initially signed up, being totally unaware about what would soon become my identity. Made friends, blah blah blah, found Kimmy's post about why they hate being a girl (I don't remember their current username nor do I know if they go by she or he now), to which I replied and then as a result realized that I wanted to be a girl. That was November 13th 2014 at 10:30pm. What then followed was a month of me just asking about transgender stuff and being confused, which undoubtedly was quite annoying for you guys because I just didn't stop talking about it. Then Callie AKA Xenthou came along, she helped me understand the concept of transgender better and I eventually accepted myself as Natalie (oh, we also started dating, I guess.)

I wasn't as active in 2015 as I was in 2014 and eventually started streaming on Twitch. Bunch of stuff happened, I stream now, yada yada I stopped being active because I was having fun on Twitch (with my favourite streamer being Unlink2, a Majora's Mask speedrunner). After this, I stopped being active and I haven't really been active at all since then. I posted sometimes but it wasn't often at all. I was then completely inactive after the middle of 2016, due to coming back to school. I was a 16-year-old in a class of 13-year-olds. Wait, no, I turned 17! I was 2 years older than the one who was the 2nd oldest who was 2 years older than the youngest. I was 4 years older than everyone. It was a bit awkward but we worked it out.

Fast forward a few years and 5 now-ex-partners, I've been dating someone since January 2019, and we're still dating in January 2021. Soon we'll be living together and actually work towards our future. I didn't finish school in the end, but I was starting to be quite tired of school and I wasn't feeling any progress, so I decided to skip it and start working while finding something to study.

So, soon, I'll be having a job and I'll be a responsible adult. Yay. So that's about my past and future.

If you're wondering what I'm currently doing: I still stream on Twitch. I did at some point restart my Twitch account, meaning I lost my 300 followers, but I'm currently streaming semi-often with 130 followers, I suppose. I primarily stream "Mario & Luigi: Dream Team" right now, as I speedrun that game and I do hold the world record (4:11:48, completed yesterday! I'm aiming for sub 4:10 and eventually sub 4:05 which would be the god run). I'll probably be speedrunning other stuff too sometimes, but that's my primary speedgame. I stream at https://www.twitch.tv/snodeca -- shameless self-advertisement! )
(Also, you can find the youtube video of the speedrun over here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gj_s3nDPqOI
-- there are a LOT of glitches after the first hour lol.)

So, in the end, I'm doing quite well. Just waiting on a few IRL stuff so I can move out (to another country too!), and feeling quite good. You guys helped me a heck of a lot with improving my English and with my overall quality of life. There's no way to tell, but I don't feel I'd be alive without this site. So thanks Davideo and the community of Vizzed for literally keeping me alive, albeit indirectly. And especially Callie.

Since you may be curious about my gender... I do remember that some of you thought I would "regret" being female and that I would eventually change back into a "male" or something. Basically, I am still a Male-to-Female transgender person. I do primarily still use she/Her pronouns, but a part of me stopped caring whether you use he or she or they. I'm me, and you calling me a he doesn't change me. I thought I'd include that too.

This is probably a dull 7-year anniversary thread, but I'm not trying to be flashy. I'm just glad that I remembered at all that it's my anniversary on Twitch. I was 13 when I first joined, and now I am 20. Gameboy1023 was 10 when I first signed up and now he's 17... My D:?!ing god that's weird to think about. Makes me feel like I'm 50 lol.

Ok I don't have anything more to say, love you all I probably won't be active again, I just wanted to brag about being 7 years old now that I finally remembered it's my birthday

Edit: also, this was moreso meant as an update and a brief history of me, I suppose. I'm only posting because of my anniversary lol)

Edit: Oh God I completely forgot to mention. So I was wanting to talk about my name history too. So originally I was James, and then I went to Jade when I first found out I'm trans. Then I thought it didn't fit me as a person, so I used Natalie because that's what my mother would have named me. 2 years later I felt uncomfortable with it (I never really was fond of it), and a few names later, I now go by Olivia and this is extremely likely the name that will stick to me. That's all, thanks

f/ck society

edit: on a serious note, I don't care what my final words would be. It will come when it will come, it is impossible to know what your final words will be. Maybe you're singing in the car, "Sing like it's the last day of your life", and suddenly you crash into a wall and you're dead.

Or you're actually in the hospital bed and you know you'll die soon, they can't fix you due to cancer or something. We'd probably talk about our loved ones, moments before the doctors take off life support, killing us. That's what will likely happen.

This is a hard one for me to choose. A few notable YouTube channels I enjoy watching is MrBeast, PhoenixSC, TeamFourStar, TotallyNotMark, TWD98, Dream...
TeamFourStar has my favourite video series on YouTube, Dragon Ball Z Abridged. I absolutely love Abridged and I don't mind rewatching the entirety for a tenth time. The other channels are channels I enjoy watching, but I think I would have to say that TotallyNotMark is my favourite YouTube channel.

[TotallyNot]Mark creates videos about Dragon Ball, such as about the character Goku or Vegeta or about other stuff. He releases a video every week and I find his channel very entertaining. He has incredibly good content. He only talks about stuff (and sometimes draws), but the video editing and especially the script is very good. What I mean with script is what he's saying. He knows what he talks about and all in all I do thoroughly enjoy his videos.

My favourite game for consoles:

NES: Kirby's Adventure. It's the only NES game I actually finished, and it was a lot of fun!

SNES: Donkey Kong Country 3. I have speedran the DKC trilogy and DKC3 was by far my favourite. Super Mario World was my favourite game for a long time, though.

N64: The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. I never really finished this game, but my favourite Twitch streamer was a speedrunner of this game, so I watched this game aaaaallll the time. I ended up really liking this game.

GBA: Donkey Kong Country 2. The remake for the GBA! This is by far my favourite Donkey Kong game, too. One day our SNES broke, but I still had this game for GBA, so I started playing this game. I ended up preferring it over the SNES, and since then I have always preferred the GBA version over the SNES. I also speedran this game and hold the (crappy) world record with 4 deaths. Nothing special, considering no one speedruns it and I'm the only one. I love this game a lot though.
A close contestant would be Astro Boy: Omega Factor. I have speedran this game, too, but I'm a minute away from world record. It is a very good game and I absolutely would recommend people to give this game a shot.

NGC: Super Smash Bros. Melee. Very, very fun game, one that I enjoyed a lot playing with others. We played this game a lot as kids.
A honourable mention would be Mario Party 4. MP4 is easily my favourite MP game in the entire franchise, and I have owned MP4 to MP9. I have always felt like the MP games have gotten worse and worse and, while we still played MP8 a lot, we only played MP9 once. We got it for Christmas and we only played it over a year after. I really enjoyed MP4 a lot.

DS: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story. I don't remember much playing this game, and I have never speedran it either. I plan on speedrunning this game, though. The best memories I had from as a kid was when I reached the final boss, but had to go eat. I was very excited to fight the final boss, and just from that moment I remember that I loved the game.

PS3: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. This is a game I speedran as well, and I very much enjoyed this game a lot. Too bad Co-op sucks in it, though, but still fun! The music is also KICKING.
Honourable mention: Splinter Cell Blacklist. I and my sister played this a lot together and, as frustrating as this game was sometimes, it was very fun to play this game.

Wii: Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I have played this game much more than Melee, though that is moreso due to loss of SSBM and lack of NGC controller. I have also come to far prefer the Wii+Nunchuk controls over the GameCube controls. I played this a heck ton. Even just playing it alone is fine for me. I love the SSE, I love playing as the characters, and I really do love the game. Although I did prefer Melee, but I don't have the game.

----------

I have never owned any other console (besides PS4 but I don't like any game in there) besides the next one. The latest gen console happens to have my all-time favourite game. And it is not a usual "favourite" game.

3DS: Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. Of all games, yes, this is my all-time favourite game. I have played it casually a lot and I have speedran this game too. I got interested in speedrunning this game when I found out the game, apparently, had sequence breaks (doing the story out of order such as doing the third part of the game before the second part = sequence break). You could do glitches. It got me very, very interested. So I started looking for glitches, too. I didn't find much at first.

I eventually did a speedrun, breaking the world record by 18 minutes due to a new skip that I had crafted. Not found, but crafted. What had happened is I found a very difficult skip, and while others were attempting it, they found another glitch. I applied that glitch to allow another skip, so yes, "Crafted". I would eventually find more skips and more glitches. I started with a time of 7 hours and 54 minutes, but eventually, with new skips, I got 6h 44m. Then 5h 53m. Both world records. I was enjoying this game a lot.

My world record got beaten numerous time afterwards (5h32m, 5h29m, 5h11m, 4h49m), and eventually I was able to run this game again and I had to beat the world record of 4h 49m. I went down to 5h 28m, 4h 56m... And then I found ANOTHER skip, by COMPLETE accident. The best time I would be able to get before it was 4h 39m, which was my goal, but with this new skip, I got a world record with a time of 4h 28m, which is the current world record -- am planning on beating it very soon. I can likely get 4h 14m with enough practice, meaning this accidental find saves about 25 minutes, which is huge.

I went down from 8 hours long to 4 and a half hours long. The world record without glitches, by the way, is 10h 15m. I am planning on going for 9h 50m for Glitchless, but I don't have the world record for it.

I have had a lot of history with the game, and it quickly became my favourite game of all time. By the time I did my first speedrun, it was already my favourite game. I possibly have put in the most hours into this one little RPG. I'll still play it a lot, though I did get a burn out recently lol.

TOP 5:
5. GBA Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
4. SNES Donkey Kong Country 3
3. GBA Astro Boy: Omega Factor
2. GBA Donkey Kong Country 2

Why always remove the post data from april fools? Those who weren't here completely miss the context and it's incredibly annoying. I don't even know what I missed out on.

Yes and no. For regular people, school can be useful. I'm going to be referring to our school system in Belgium, which is slightly different, and I will hope that our goal here is the same as in other places.

I will look at middleschool (age 12-17 assuming you never fail or skip a class and start preschool on the correct age). Here, what school is important for is that we learn about ourselves. After the second year, we enter the "highschool", where we have choices between four things:
BSO - you learn about work and you should choose this if you want to go work after middle school, or if you're just much handier.
TSO - you learn about work, too, but you have a lot more of the more difficult stuff such as math, history, sciences, et cetera. This prepares you both for work and to study further, so this is the best option if you don't know what to do.
KSO - This is a lot like TSO, but it has a much more artistic approach. Not many schools offer this, though, like mine.
ASO - this is all about the theory and is the most difficult setting. This prepares you purely for studying after and your diploma for ASO is insufficient for work.

Why am I saying this? Well, the fact that it has choices. Under these four main categories there are many more choices: BSO has electricity, bakery, barber, etc., TSO has uhm ... our school has "Social & Technic Sciences" and "Commerces", KSO has for example acting or painting or whatever (I'm not sure lol) and ASO for example has Sciences, "Human Sciences", Latin, et cetera.

Each provides a different set of lessons, obviously, which also means a different approach to intelligency. The main reason that I have noticed that school is important is that it simply helps you get prepared. You will probably work with people you hate. You will have to do things you don't like. History can be neat so that you at least have some insight on your own folk and the surroundings (Fun fact: if this certain woman (forgot her name) had a child, Belgium & Dutch would been one whole country!). However, more importantly, the big thing with history is to learn to work with sources. Will it be useful in life, later? Maybe, I don't know. The most important part about history here is to be able to work with sources and find information about it, and link information from today with the past. And honestly, it is quite hard, sometimes. This, in my opinion, is a form of intelligence.

What I am trying to say is that, at least here, the lessons give you insight. You will have to go through obstacles that you go through in school.

--------------------------------------------

But... is it NECESSARY? That in itself is a tricky question. The matter of fact is is that a lot of important, influencial people today (Bill Gates, for example), quit school. They never graduated. Bill Gates quit school so he could work on computers and stuff full-time, something like that. A bunch of singers and artists. The whole text above about our school system is moreso about that it helps with intelligence. I would not recommend dropping out of school unless you have a good reason, at least not here in Belgium.

As a fun fact, school was originally intended to prepare people to work. To be the slaves of the governments, to put it simply. Technically, that is still the primary purpose of school now, it's just a lot softer (and thus better) now. There was a video I saw a few weeks ago that I do want to recommend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLSv17iE_4Q

Not sure what else to write. This post is probably a mess but I don't feel like getting rid of everything because I spent way too much time on it lol. Tata!
