Thank you very much for your words, they really are nice to hear. I do know that there wasn't any bad feelings between them prior to that meeting since my new friend had just moved to our location, and my other friend lived here his whole life. So it really was just a juvenile reaction. However, I'm also pretty sure that there was an underlying issue that caused him to resent me, although I am fully aware that it was a big misunderstanding on both ends, but he refused to listen to reason, from any of our mutual friends or myself. It's things like that that irritate me, when there's a misunderstanding that cannot be cleared up, due to one or both parties being too childish to get over themselves. I won't let it change me or who I am, just I need to know that there are certain people that I need to be careful around, that's all. |

Hi there everyone! I thought I'd drop in and post something about myself. I registered here a few years back, but due to varying circumstances, I hadn't been able to post, or even access Vizzed for that matter. I had received an email for a Vizzed Winter Update, and it made me think about what I was missing here at the Vizzed Board, so I came back! I'm a gamer, I'd like to believe that I'm a hardcore gamer, but with life being life, games aren't quite as important as other things, so I'm more of a hardcore-ish gamer. I do have an issue of starting games, then never finishing them...which annoys me. Too many good games and not enough time! Anyway, I'm looking forward to having some fun here, and I hope that I don't drive anyone crazy! I had a friend for 5 or 6 years that I could have said the same: we were practically like brothers. Various things happened between us: good, bad, strange...yet we always had managed to stick through it. Then something odd happened...I'm not even really sure what it was. I remember the day clearly, it was March 6, 2011 (The same day that Pokemon Black/White came out, it's somewhat significant.), and I had brought a new friend of mine to our local GameStop to pick up the game. We had arrived before GameStop had opened, and we decided to get something to eat next door. When we finished, my friend, who was like a brother to me, was standing at the door. I said hi, but he flipped, like he was jealous or something, that I had another friend with me. Now, I'm not sure that's what it was, because there may have been something prior to this that I was completely unaware of (and trust me, that's possible, because he holds grudges for the strangest things, I had noticed through our friendship), so I just shrugged it off. After that, my new friend and I drove around for a bit, then I called a mutual friend of mine and my "friend-brother's" to see if we could come over for a little while. He agreed, and we showed up. My other friend was there as well, and he just glared at me and my friend. Again, I shrugged it off, thinking he was just a little moody that day. I walked into my friend's room and he was showing me something he'd found on a game, and I was helping him with the rest. After a while, my new friend and I left. Now, it's a few days later, and my "friend-brother" isn't answering my phone calls; I was hoping to hang out. A few months pass, and we had gone without talking. I found out that he refused to talk to me, that he actually hated my guts. He did various things, such as change my name in his phone to read "Don't answer this number" or something like that. I even found out that he insulted my new friend to his face, many, many times. Nobody had told me about this until that point, and I was quite upset. I tried to talk to him, to reconcile with him, yet he refused to talk to me. Even now, he refuses to be in the same room as me, won't talk to me, and if there's an event that we would both enjoy, if I'm there, he won't come, or he'll leave if I show up afterward. So, to answer your question, I believe that reconciling friendships is a great thing, if the other party is willing. To some extent, I still wish that I could fix my old friendship with him, but...after seeing what he was putting my friends through...I'd say, no thanks. For some reason, I can't upload the file.
And it isn't because the server is busy, but a window pops up saying that I don't have permission to access the file. And it isn't because the server is busy, but a window pops up saying that I don't have permission to access the file. |

Why is it that whenever I try to boot it up, my AVG resident shield comes up saying that the shPsoBB.exe is a trojan? Phantasy Star won't run because of that, so, am I doing anything wrong?
Just in case anyone feels like asking, I'm running 64-bit Vista, and I have a feeling that might be a slight problem, but Vista hasn't given me that many problems, so I'm not sure. Same here! Actually, I think I had seen it 4 years ago, and one of my friends showed it to me. We sat there and watched it for hours, laughing at every single "Blah!" and "Zeeky Boogy Doog!" |

If you can put up with extreme stupidity, then watch this movie. It's about half an hour long, and it is awesome! (Well, I think it's awesome anyway.) That's how I felt about his asking after 3 weeks, but, I've tried to get over it. I'm just giving up. I don't feel like getting into a major argument with them. To tell you the truth, I haven't spoken to them ever since they started dating. I just kinda kept my distance. Although I have to disagree with you saying that I'm jealous and possessive. I was actually the one to break up with her. It's very difficult to explain why, but, well, I did let her go. However, finding out about this just shocked me, but I kept my cool when I found out. Now, though, I just don't quite know how to take it. I want to get it out of my mind, but I don't think that'll happen anytime soon. |

Originally posted by Dragon master Well, that's definitely a way to put it, DM. I don't know, even if I explained the rest of the situation, as to why it somewhat affects me, I don't think it'll change anyone's opinion. Ah well, I'll explain it anyway. The girl in the relationship is my ex-girlfriend. The details of our previous relationship aren't important, however. One of my best friends then asked her out three weeks later, I believe it was late December. Now, three and a half months later, they engage in sexual intercourse. Not engaged, not married, just boyfriend & girlfriend. That's why it's kinda hard on me. I know I should have let go, but, when I found out that they did that, I just didn't know what to do. I do understand that various cultures have various distinctions between right and wrong, I really do. And although I've never myself seen the version of the Bible that says to kill homosexuals, I know it exists, and I have to disagree with it. "You shall not murder." Exodus 20:13 (NIV) Now, I highly doubt that God would contradict Himself by saying kill homosexuals. That's murder. Now, people may say, "What about all of those wars that God led Israel into?" That wasn't murder, that was war that was already being commenced by the other armies.
As for the situation that I brought up, I don't plan on saying anything, because what's done is done. However, I can't be happy about the situation. It's like my grandmother said: "Love the sinner, hate the sin." I love my friends as a Christian, but I really hate the sin that they have committed. I don't know, maybe I've just hit an impasse with myself, but, it's just hard for me to understand why. In all honesty, if there really a fine line between Right and Wrong?
As a Christian, it is pretty easy to tell the difference from Right and Wrong in my personal life, but, why is it so hard for non-Christians to see the same thing? I found out a while ago that a couple that I knew just did something, let's just say that they had "fun" without being married. Now, the worst part is their age. They are under 20, but...still...I just can't condone it. Call me old fashioned, but, the Bible speaks against it, having that kind of "fun" without being married. Now, I suppose the age isn't a big problem, since they are both legally adults, but, I don't know. It just really bothers me. But, if I had one question for them, it would be: "Do you think what you did is Wrong?" I'm pretty sure their answer would be: "No, because we love each other, and that's what counts." I just wish I knew why they did it. They've only been together for a couple of months, so that is another reason I'm thrown off. But still, the question still stands: Is there a fine line between Right and Wrong? Is it possible to make working back-up copies of PS2 games? I have a couple that are really getting messed up, and I want to back them up before they become unusable. I was just wondering if I could make a back-up copy of them on a DVD. |

But...we just had a discussion that the cookie might not turn me into a zombie, but rather give me zombie powers. I'll stick with that one. I'm not a zombie, I just have zombie powers. Yeah...yeah, I'll go with that one. But that cookie does look pretty good. *Slurp* *Drool* |

Yeah...that would kinda confuse me. How do you decapitate Kirby? Besides, if his arms and legs (well, feet for Kirby) were dismembered, then wouldn't Kirby be able to roll around, like Ball Kirby? Then he would be Zombie Ball Kirby! Muahahahaha!!!!...yeah...right. Lol. |
