For me there is only one mode of transportation, and that would be by car. I've never been on an airplane and I feel like most boats are too slow.
Plus, I love my Honda Civic. It's a great car to drive and looks really nice. It's a bright blue, so all I need now are flames on the side with Sonic the hedgehog running in front.  (Now if we were talking video games, it would definitely be planes, as I always love a good flying game.)

FaithFighter : Hondas are great cars, sometimes I miss the days where my dad drove a Honda Accord. It would be hilarious to see Sonic running on a car XD I've seen a car with Iron Man on it before. The driver used to live close to my street so I'd see it all the time.

As much as I want to say subway cuz it sounds cool, I've never ridden a subway, so I can't say it.

It depends on where I'm traveling. To a store between thirty minutes to two hours away, I'll prefer a car, but to another state or country, I rather be on a plane. Based on my vacation this summer, I hate being in a car for 12+ hours, and planes would be a lot quicker. Honestly I would've said "walking" as a transportation, but there are barely any stores at walking distance here :/

xxAriaxx : Make a goal to ride a subway someday I have always loved being in a tunnel in a car, and riding underground in a subway train is even better. Of course, you probably won't stay underground the whole time, but it's great when you're above ground too.

I don't like being in a car for a long time either. Traveling by plane is best for long distances.

Where I live, public transportation is pretty much just the bus line, which can be extremely time-consuming. I used to ride my bike a lot, but have had a few unpleasant accidents. It also got stolen outside my workplace despite being assured that'd be fine on the rack and locking it up really good.

I recently got my driver's license and am doing really well at manning a car. Sometimes, I'd rather just walk if the destination isn't too far.

Clayton 2 : My experience at Disney World made me aware of how awfully long bus lines can be. It stinks that we have to worry about our bikes being stolen. I would have a much more fun time going places somewhat near my house if I could ride a bike.

I will most likely be going for my driver's license right before I start school since my drive times are in the middle of August. Congrats on getting yours!

I prefer my car as my main mode of transportation, for a number of reasons. First off I don't like buses simply because of alot of people being cramped in a small amount of space and because you have to abide by the buses set schedule and not your own, and also because for the most part buses are dirty and the people aren't to friendly. Second I don't like taxi's or uber's for that same sanitary reason and because you never know what type of person is behind the wheel or what they are capable of for example my girlfriend used to take a cab to and from work (before we started dating) and she told me the cab driver would try to hit on her and offer up sexual favors for rides and just basically be inappropriate with her. In addition I prefer my car even on long trips because you can take in the sights and really relax and get that feeling of comfort in your own vehicle.

I prefer the bus, though it can get cramped and because of that there are a lot of late arrivals during the school semesters. We have a very extensive bus system where I live meaning you can get pretty much anywhere you want in the city and I live right next to one of the major bus stops. I take the bus every day to school. It's a very cheap method of travel and also environmentally friendly as public transport tends to be because of how it saves energy and leads to less pollution. Those reasons contribute to why I still prefer it to riding a car even though that is typically the most comfortable. The subway would likely be up there as well but I don't get the chance to ride it much outside of whenever I'm travelling abroad, though that may change as I start university. I haven't ridden any type of boat or cruiser in quite some time but I usually find that pretty enjoyable as well especially because of the sea view. I used to bike, but since I have a bus pass and live so close to the bus station it's just more convenient to take the bus everywhere or simply walk and not worry about where to leave my bike, even more so since my city is infamous in Sweden when it comes to bike thieves (my mom and I once had both of our bikes stolen in the span of 2 days). On the other hand I don't like riding air planes because it usually makes my ears feel like they're going to come off my head, and that's not to talk about all the things you have to deal with on the airports.

I'd say driving myself. I like to get places without having to stop all the time (bus) and if I am not too busy I can take a longer route to a destination or just go for a nice drive. Granted I live in a small town, so there is not a lot of traffic lol.

Divine Aurora : Crowded buses are no fun. At Disney World the buses were, all except for one time, pretty crowded. And the first couple times it was standing room only by the time my family was next in line.

I'm usually not comfortable in buses because people tend to think of a bus ride as a free pass to do whatever they want because they aren't driving in a car. On the school bus in elementary school, people would hit me with paper and I would have to share a seat with a random person.

Zlinqx : That sounds like a good deal! If people were more friendly on buses I would likely want to ride them more than a car. Then again, I'm driving with my parents now so I'm focused on learning how to drive first.

HeavyMetalGamer : Recently I've been driving on main roads every day with my parents since I've had my learner's permit for half a year. I like being behind the wheel when I know what I'm doing, but otherwise I can get frustrated. I'm learning from my mistakes but I keep worrying about the other people who have to deal with them since many drivers are impatient with student drivers.

HeavyMetalGamer : Oh gosh, that sounds terrible. Thankfully, I haven't make any mistakes in my school's parking lot when I drive home from drivers ed, but I make a horrible one in my driveway.

I was trying to back out and I was doing fine, just about to enter the street. My dad told me to straighten out a bit better and go forward to accomplish that. I have no idea why, but instead of pressing down on the brake pedal to stop and then straighten the car out, I floored the gas. I immediately slammed the brakes after that while the car was already in the grass next to my driveway.

I can see why my parents were nervous. At least I'm trying to be careful but I can't be perfect yet. I'm a perfect passenger but not driver! XD

Hell, I will tell the story. So I was driving my mom's vehicle at the time, because I was learning how to drive, so I turned into the parking lot next to the school, which is a small parking lot, and instead of hitting the brakes, I hit the throttle and jumped the curb. Luckily it's a big area and nobody was there, but it was so damn embarrassing. It was a horrible day that day, I think I got in a fight as well.

It should be pretty obvious when it comes to me but my favorite more of traveling is my legs. Yep, good old walking. Before you say, "[insert objections here]", walking provides an infinite amount of benefits that even biking can't give. When you walk you can catch every detail of life. You like art? The scenery is the best inspiration. You like books? Talking to random strangers is like having your own personal storyteller. You like games? You can find many fun activities that don't get good advertisement by walking (I found a really awesome board gaming bar just by walking down an interesting looking alley). And, like I always say, life is better then tv dramas or reality shows.

a small taste of how awesome it feels to walk in the:

City

Country

Oh, and walking has extremely awesome health benefits.

WandererExiled: Wow, that's true! You can notice more details of your environment around you when you're walking. You don't have the windows, windshields, etc. of a car, or the pressure to go fast while riding a bike.

Also, you can take pictures which is what I like to do whenever I'm checking out an unfamiliar area while walking!

I'll always love my trusty bike. I've had it for like 5 years or so and I love it. Always went to school on my bike and it was always my go-to for transportation. I feel free and at peace when I'm riding down some quiet road or small neighborhood. When I'm in a city I'll usually just walk or take the subway if there is one.

I am interested to get a car and a drivers license eventually but it's not a top priority right now. Never was a fan of taking the bus because it feels so cramped and it's always so hot in there.
