I am largely pro-life. I do believe that the fetus is a person and therefore abortion is nearly equivalent to murder. I would be okay with abortion in certain cases. For instance, if a doctor confirmed that the child would be born with some kind of deformity or disability that would kill the child early in life or would severely reduce quality of life, an abortion would be an act of mercy. Or if a doctor confirmed for the mother that she would die during childbirth, then it would be completely up to the mother whether or not to get an abortion.

In the case of rape it's a tough one. I wouldn't approve of a woman getting an abortion if she was raped, but I would understand why she would want an abortion and would not object.

Otherwise, that child is yours and is your responsibility, and if you don't want it or don't have a way to take care of it it should be put up for adoption.

Abortion, such a touchy subject, I am personally pro choice, yes you are killing a fetus (that arguably human statement was wrong of me) that is a human, but it's much more humane than the baby dying of starvation or being born with a crippling defect or being born with HIV (yes it can be passed through child birth AND breast feeding) and in some situations the mother could die giving birth, also if the mother is raped the father can get visitation rights (to my knowledge), and if the mother is clinically not fit to take care of a baby. These are all situations we're glad abortion is available. As for choice that's sorta mixed to me, some mothers or couples just aren't ready and if the condom broke then you obviously didn't want a kid, and adoption is an option, although some people are worried about the outcome of the baby, but these alone aren't enough of a reason to kill a baby. Overall I'm pro choice, I wouldn't like unreasonable abortions, but I understand it nevertheless.

the only way i think abortion should be legal is if stem cell research is legal that way the life that could have been is not completely wasted and can make difference in the world people should be much more responsible and just wear a condom and if you do become pregnant with a child you dont want then just give it up for adoption
