Oo! I hope that the secret base feature will still be in those games. I haven't picked up my 3DS after completing my Phoenix Wright game. It would be exciting to have one of these to play. Although, I wonder if they'll do an Emerald one.

Phenomenal news!! Pokemon ruby and sapphire are my favorite rpg's and They are very nostalgic. I literally had a dream about it.

Guys, confirmed to be remakes. "During the Investor Briefing today, Satoru Iwata confirmed that Pokémon Omega Ruby & Pokémon Alpha Sapphire are full-remakes of the 2002 releases, Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire." From Serebii.

OMG!!!! I heard this from Marriland first, last night. I completely freaked out.... I was like... Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! I freaked out my grandparents. hahaa. This is great! I really hope it's a sequel like Black 2 and White 2. I personally think it would be a little boring to just do a complete remake of ruby & sapphire. I didn't play the original silver and gold when they came out, but I think that if I had played it back then, I would have been disappointed with heartgold/soulsilver because it was literally the same exact game, just with better graphics and I think new pokemon. I'm just saying. I hope they are sequels. But I'm totally buying both. As for the problem of not affording a 3-DS I've seen some people expressing... At gamestop, they sell used 3-DS for about $180. Yeah, it is a lot of money, but it isn't ridiculous. I've seen a lot more expensive things. Yes, it is used, but I got mine a year ago, and it still works like I just bought it new from the store. hope that helps!

The Deities are pleased.....very pleased...we have been waiting for hundreds of years (time goes faster in hyrule then here trust me)

In my opinion it sounds like Gamefreak and the Pokemon Company are running out of idea's ^-^ just saying these games will be about the 3rd set of remakes they've made(Pokemon Firered, Pokemon leafgreen, Pokemon Red, Pokemon Green/Blue(for us in America),Pokemon Heart Gold, Pokemon Soul Silver, Pokemon Gold, Pokemon Silver...see what I'm getting at and also they had Black & White 2 which is basically Black and White just with 3 extra towns and mixed up gyms with an extra tournament). Although it is nice to see Gamefreak updating and remaking the classics that were my childhood, and I think these games are going to be a success(don't get me wrong),but it seems that this proves they have basically been running out of ideas for Pokemon, the sprites and the game in general because all they have been doing is recycling old Pokemon & Games.

But anyways I wish they would have remade emerald instead of both Ruby and Sapphire and also I think I might just go out and buy a 3DS instead of waiting for the 3DS emulator to come out just to get this game.

Neo Arcadia : I would like to counter argue that.

They remade red and green because those games were 
A) Not appealing anymore to the desired audience graphic wise
B) Because almost no-one had the right game console for them.

They remade Gold and Silver for the same reasons.

They're obviously working on new regions, as hinted at 1000 times in X and Y, meaning they do have idea's.

But now, when you look at 3rd gen and 4th gen. There's a HUGE difference. The sprites, physical/special split, touch screen and etc.
Again, for the intended audience (children, from 8-13), 4th gen is way more appealing. I think remaking Ruby and Sapphire is a good choice. And I think they've been working on this for a long time, you can't finish something that quick after another. Heck, they probably have the games even almost finished. They're just waiting for X and Y's fame to calm down a little bit.

Black 2 and White 2 WEREN'T remakes. They were follow ups, the story of what happened AFTER black and white.

Halleck : I hope you're right, man.  The way I see it the games are about 6 months away, by now they should have at least one full trailer.  It doesn't make sense not to have one.  I don't know whether you agree or not.  Either way is fine, but  the teaser trailer is lame.  The point is I can't wait till November so that I can play the games.  They seem really cool, it's just that they cliché the games in the teaser trailer.  I mean everybody says that stuff to get you to want the games.  Nintendo shouldn't have to do that for Pokémon.  Pokémon has been going strong for 18 years (16 in the US).  Everyone who is not living under a rock should already know about how cool it is.

Honestly, who cares if the Pokémon creators re-run the series? I'd be really happy if they remade ALL of the Pokémon games for the 3DS because that means I wouldn't have to deal with my janky; glitchy, old regular DS anymore. I'd be able to play exclusively on my 3DS. That would make me really happy. Though I must say, I don't like how the 3DS isn't compatible with my AR. But who needs cheats these days anyway?

It took Nintendo longer than I thought to make the remakes of Ruby and Sapphire. That would mean a remake of Emerald will come as well. It looks like there will be more mega evolutions especially to the main mascots of the games. I would like to see a mega evolution on Arcanine. There should be other future trailers as time passes by as well.

So happy this is happening. R/S/E were my first Pokémon games and being able to play them again is going to be amazing. I will admit the story is kind of not the best (understatement) but I love this region the most :3. All the surfing you had to do in the originals was a pain, but at the same time I loved it. The 8th gym took me forever to find until I found it by chance, but when I did I was so happy and didn't regret all the time it took. As it stands though the one thing I really want from these 2 games are some new mega evolutions. Sceptile and Swampert need megas to match up with Blaziken and its mega for starters. Some others I'm hoping for personally are Mega Metagross, Mega Flygon, and Mega Milotic, and Mega Swellow (coolest of the standard birds you get near the beginning of the game imo ). Though I doubt they will put in all the megas I want, I hope they plan to put in some new megas. All in all cant wait for these releases!
