It doesn't matter to me if I watch my Anime with subtitles or in English.  I'm open to both options even though I'm more used to watching Anime in English.

I like dubbed anime ONLY! If something is in subtitles in a different language and if i can't turn it over 2 english i'm done with it.
I have adhd as bad as you can get it and my attention span is extremely low so i can't read and watch something at the same time. Plus reading for 2 long gives me a headache. I don't really see why people are complaining that some of the voices in english are the same as other anime because people in moves and shows show up in other moves and shows all the time and nobody complains about that. I fail 2 see the difference because voice acting isn't all that different from normal acting.

I prefer to have my anime subbed so I can hear the original voice actors/actress voice and there is a greater variety when it's subbed since most English dubbed anime uses the same voice actors/actress, which gives it a more personal feel for the characters and subbed also helps me with my Japanese classes I'm taking and gets me familiar with the language since it's one of the only times I hear it in my day-to-day life.

I prefer my anime with subtitles because to me it feels natural to watch anime the way they were suppose to be watched and to hear the voices of the anime characters in there original actors voices in Japanese.

Interesting question and i think for me it depends on the voice actors, as if it's going to be dubbed in English i do prefer some of the work done by various voice actors/actresses as they give a little bit more life to the characters, but it is still very enjoyable to watch in either case.

I've preferred the subs to dubs, but that may be just because I've lived in Japan for three years and I had gotten used to the language, even though I'm nowhere near fluent.

Subs, always subs...
I will admit that dubs did get better, but if I have the choice, I choose subbed.

I prefer subtitles every time, I can read it as fast as they speak so it isn't really a problem, I have been doing it for a while so it is almost unconscious process now. Also the Japanese voice actors seem to suit the character better/

I prefer anime that's subbed, even though I also watch some anime that's dubbed. Once I started watching subbed anime. I use to only watch dubbed anime, mostly because I didn't want to read the subtitles.

it depends on the anime really, some sound better in dubs some in subs and of course then there's the fact some animes don't even have dubs out and just subs but I mostly watch subs since all the animes I watch have no dubs and 99% of the time the dubs sound just awful.

I always chose the sub version when watching anime. The dub version seems so stupid and unprofessional in comparison to the original Japanese voice acting. After all, the original version is always better. The only anime watch dubbed is Pokemon.

Well, I often enjoy the ridiculous voice acting of anime dubs. Here are just a few examples:

I really don't watch anime all that much, but I like mine in English. So I watch mine with subs. It really isn't a big deal to me, but dubbed anime sounds weird sometimes so that is why I watch mine with subtitles, it just sounds better, like Dragon ball Z or Naruto or Sonic anime. Like I said though, I rarely watch anime so it really doesn't matter or bother me.

Initially, I wouldn't watch anything that wasn't dubbed English.  Deathnote was the first series I watched entirely subbed, and now I much prefer it that way.

It just makes more sense, too; the show was written in Japanese, and therefore meant to be expressed in that language.  The whole perception of a character changes when the voice changes, and the difference between the dubbed and original voices is sometimes so great that it loses the original intention of that character.

Before I start a new series, I always ask fans which version is better.  If I don't get a conclusive answer from that, the deciding factor is whether the anime has focus on visuals or story.  I want story to be conveyed as originally intended as much as possible, but if I'm watching something visual like Cowboy Bebop, I don't want to be distracted by subtitles.

Now that I'm starting to learn a bit of the Japanese language, watching subbed but trying to ignore the text is good practice.
