I like the new set up. Sure, a lot of people will have to re-do their post layouts, but it's not a big deal. The division is really nice because it makes things a LOT neater. I do think it'd be nice to have the ability to reply to multiple posts (and have them linked). Maybe a piece of code could be provided to add to the posts to "link" each post?

No, this obviously wasn't done in order to create the reply to post feature (I think it's pretty obvious that I could've done that feature without making the posts 3 columns unless you just wanted an excuse to insult my IQ). You're just blowing things way out of proportion in order to start some out of nowhere drama. I could come up with a compromise though, make the left column 40 pixels wider and the right column 40 pixels thinner.

I separated the stuff into 3 columns for 2 reasons:
1. The reasons I already listed in my first post
2. Preparation for a future feature that would require the layout to be this way

Davideo7 :  Here's more:  I love it.  It gives the site a nice clean look and makes the page looks much more sorted. I like the icon size on the right, but if people want a 'square' icon, I guess it couldn't hurt to increase the pixel size by 40.  However, I don't think it's that big of an issue.

If you're referring to my statement about "And if this was all in an attempt to just simplify how REPLY TO POST and LINK work (Which you should be able to figure out pretty easily unless your IQ is equivalent to that of an avocado)", then I'd honestly have to laugh and leave no other comments in reply.

I don't see how making the columns shorter or wider would make it better or worse at this point, considering that for a majority of desktop screens, it would just make the page start to scroll (Or it would make the layouts shorter/shift, if that's what you mean).

I already made a reply towards the things in the first post (Why else would this conversation be taking place?), and for number two, I honestly can't give my opinion on it until I truly know what it is, so I guess I'll just have to wait a bit on that one.

And again, I have no intentions of causing this "drama" you seem to think has already begun because of me. If it makes it any easier to understand my perspective, I'm just the type of person who likes to have all their thoughts out in the open when it comes to opinions (such as this thread) or debates. Does it mean I want to cause a gigantic board war? Nope, not at all, even though people could be confused on that due to my love of chaos. Basically, I like the old systems and stuff, before all the changes from breaking away from an Acmlm styled board (Even though like I pointed out with the other Acmlm board, it's not that big of a change, excluding a bar and the one feature I did like added). For that reason, pretty much, is partly an explanation for why I don't like the change up, a bit.

I can say this, I like your intentions on the new layout for posts. It looks a little more organized, but I think it will take a while for me to get use to it. The best feature I see is the link to replies of the post, its a nice touch.

However, the other opinions I have still apply, and this does not make me like it any more than when this layout was broken.

If you have any suggestions on how I could modify it without changing it back (in other words, a compromise), I'm open to any ideas. Personally I think it makes the board look cleaner since it condenses the size of the posts.

There is one to glitch it however, as in vizzedguy124's post. (check this post's layout)

Looks like the layouts are pushing the extra bar around. Strange. And Mega's layout covers her (Gender?) first column too.

I am in favor of this new thread layout. Sure it is easy for me to say since I don't even know how to make layouts, but I like this is to shrink the size of pages. The only thing that I question, but am not complaining about, is the choice to put the Battle Arena stats on the left when I think the it should be on the opposite --unless you plan to release the Battle Arena soon.

legacyme3 : Yeap. And you know how I always talked about letting users create their own avatars and the clothing items they buy for it would appear on it? Well the stuff to the right of posts would be itemshop and battle arena stuff where it'd show a user's avatar, level, hp, stats, viz, exp, etc.

To start, I'll reply to the "People fear change!" comment.
Nope, that's not the way at all. Had this been the original set up, and the past one been the new one, I'd actually prefer that. The reason is because it looks a lot more neat and clean IMO. This set up (At the moment, waiting on the Battle Arena stuff for it to make sense) looks a bit more messy and scrambled to me. When it comes to things like the organization of stuff like this, I prefer things to be simple. This isn't simple. Plus, I of all people like to see change around here, but as a lot of people know, I'm a very picky person. Want me to compliment a newer feature? SEGA CD. I love its addition into the RGR, because it makes me life much easier when it comes to the whole emulator set up for it. Have any of you actually tried setting it up before? It's a huge pain, you have to download a ton of separate bios and and stuff, and the music doesn't work most of the time. The RGR makes it so that the music DOES work, and so I DON'T have to download multiple things, but just the plugin. That's a change I do like.
Plus, if everyone is to expect that they're going to get 100% positive feedback 100% of the time for everything, you guys are dead wrong. People in life are going to give complaints, negative opinions, and rants. Deal with it, that's what drives people to make good things. We learn from our mistakes, we always have, and we always will. It's a fact of life.
Anyways, now that I know what the future feature will be, I guess I can say it all depends on: A) How long it takes for the Battle Arena to be released, and B) How the set-up looks when it is 100% finished.
Anyways, to sum that up:
1) "People fear change!" Dead wrong.
2) "People would have complained if this change was the other way around too!" Also dead wrong.
3) "It'll look better once the Battle Arena stuff is added" Well, guess we'll have to wait and see.
4) I like the SEGA CD.
5) I don't hold back on my opinions and criticism. Deal with it.
