I prefer hi-def over standard just because it looks better.  Standard TV may be cheaper, but I can see the TV better with Hi-Def.

I prefer HD to standard because I have a blu-ray player and the quality is much better than standard DVDs.

I think High Def is better, but sometimes high def doesn't look as good; it depends on the TV. I find that my eyes have to get used to the picture. I think it's the frame rate or something.

I would say High def, and it isn't even close. At school last year I had a cable box with all high def channels and I was in heaven. Now being graduated and still looking for a job, I can't afford to pay for high def cable and I am miserable. Only a few high def channels actually work at home, so I find myself watching those more often even if I don't like the show that is on.

It really doesn't matter. High def is okay but I wouldn't mind watching in standard either. As long as i'm watching television, then i'm okay.

I never had my own high def T.V when I lived at home but now I live with my bf and I use his high def T.V all the time. So I got use to seeing and using a high def T.V. I like them better.

My own home just managed to get 720p TVs last year, we still are behind on the hi-def trends. D:

I want to be able to get a 1080p TV and a collection of Blu-Rays at some point. Old film in particular can look really good in HD if done right.

Of course, there's still some things that just aren't made for HD, just as there's stuff not made for SD. D: Tsh.

Honestly it really doesn't matter me, I am used to standard but I suppose it would be pretty cool to have a high def tv, sometimes I can't even really tell the difference unless the tv is way too high def and everything looks like it is fake...which kind of freaks me out a bit actually lol

I never saw a difference, but after a side by side comparison, especially on a big tv, high def is clearly better. Kind of an obvious answer, though.

I guess I'd have to go with high def even though it doesn't make that big of a difference to me.  Even today, my husband was trying to show me the difference between LED and....LCD(?) lights and I couldn't tell...

I like HD TVs better, but they definitely take getting used to. When you're not used to the clarity, it can be kind of odd, but after you get used to it, it's hard to go back to standard definition.

I only have on standard television. And it's the television in my bedroom. The rest of the tv's we have are high definition. I can certainly tell a big difference between the two. So I would have to say I prefer the high definition television sets. The color is much more vibrant and brighter and the image a lot sharper than the standard television sets.

I like watching cartoons with standard definition because it feel good with my eyes , but if i am watching movies i usually use high definition  .
I also like to watch Cartoon Network HD ( High Definition ) .. But if i am watching a youtube video , i usually change the setting to the lowest  , so that the loading speed will become more faster ..

I enjoy High Definition a lot more than Standard Definition. It's a lot more clear, easier to see and a lot more realistic. Of course I don't mind Standard Definition because a lot of shows I watch are in standard definition.

Easy question. HD. I sadly do not have an HD TV, but I wish I owned one. The beautiful crystal clear quality of it is nice and also I believe that it gets better sound quality.

I think high-def is pretty over rated, actually. Unless you have a big hi-def TV and the right hookups and are on the hi-def channel, you don't get much out of it.
