In my 11 years of school,  I never had a fire in any of the schools I went to. The closest thing to a fire was the elevator in my current school was shorting out, but there was no fire just smoke I think. I heard it from my teacher, so I don't know the exact details. Plus, it was during the beginning of the school year.

Yeah, one time, this 7th grader set a trash can on fire in the school auditorium. It was really scary, but the fire wasn't big. We all heard the fire alarm go off, and I thought it was just another drill. But as my class and I were walking down the hallway, we all began to smell smoke. However, we were all very calm in the situation, and only a little part of the auditorium caught on fire as well. Teachers were running around with fire extinguishers, and the fire department was called. It was such a mess. And the kid was expelled (obviously)

I had a couple of fires in my high school due to the long running rivalry/grudge with Bay View high school. they even started one in the ceiling of the first floor.

I know back in high school we've had "fires" that weren't drills... but I can't remember now if any were actually real... often times, students would pull alarms just to get out of class. There might have been one that was an actual fire once... but I honestly can't recall anymore :x

I almost had a fire 4 years ago in my Primary/Elementary school. Too many electrical things on at the time caused the power box to smoke. I could have died since I was in the hall and the box was just next to the hall. The school had to close down for the week and even after that we had to eat cold sandwiches for two weeks. Now that I'm in Secondary/Middle and High school people press the button or the smoke from an experiment in the science room set it off. I could of started one in DT...

Yes, indeed. A fuzzy little squirrel caused the great amount of energy at our elementary school two years ago. My class was in the gym with our instructor telling us the weekly goal in volleyball. Everyone practiced for about four minutes then a alarm stated that there was a fire reported in the building. Students charged out with shock saying/asking what was heck was happening. The custodians searched for a fire but, the fire was outside barley big enough to burn a human and it was spreading slowly. They poured a bucket of ice cold water on the burning object then discovered a burnt squirrel fried to the bone. The smell caused the alarm to go off and scare people half to death. So later the custodians showed all the older kids the fried squirrel, it was awesome!

I never had a fire at school but at university one of the chemistry first years threw a flammable and poisonous chemical in the bin which ignited and the whole building had to be evacuated. 
It was pretty bad but at least I got out of my chem practical class

Ah. The fire! When I was in the 2nd grade, we had a fire in our school that started in the cafeteria and spread a bit before being shut down. It was at the end of the day, so it shouldn't have been too much of a safety issue for most students, who were leaving... Except for the fact that our area was under tornado warnings as well. So being a little 2nd grader, with all these different bells going off, I was excited to see my mom's face show up to whisk me away from all the problems of the world. It also happened to be one of my last days at that school, as we were moving to another state not too long afterwards.
