Hawaiianbabidoll : Haha I think you already have it all written out :
You have the big book right next to ya- you're just waiting for the chance to entertain and inspire...

I'm burned out by all the info here- so I don't know what to ask next...
And maybe we could move this to another thread? Yes? No?...

Anyway thank you so much for time and your patience.
Take care.

On3On : Honestly, people bring up things I haven't thought about yet, and ideas just flow out. This is probably why many of my teachers think i should write and illustrate my own book  XD
Too bad I'm such a lazy procrastinator.

*shrugs* I guess I could make a thread just for my ocs. I'll do it later though, when I finished my latest picture of Lunaci... which, thanks to my horrible work ethic, means the thread could come soon....or take forever.

Thank you for your wonderful questions and interest in my characters.

Now then, more art stuffs to share.

Okay, so this one is technically done in pen, but that's close enough to pencil >.>
It's a stippled dragon. Stippling, or pointillism, is the art of forming a picture out of dots.

It's funny, because when I stipple in public, aka hit the paper repeatedly with a pen resulting in a series of 'thump thump' noises, people kind of glare at me XD

Hawaiianbabidoll : That sounds like the way I would do it too- kinda like a free/spontaneous way of developing ideas. Carefree...

I really like the stippling- it is very well done- no preliminary sketch I assume? It doesn't look like it. I adored dragons when I was younger...
I also find your signature funny- that it's stippled in too... No- I have no idea why I think its funny though...
Anyway you can sit back and relax : No-ones going to forget you. Take all the time you need for your artwork and stuff... We'll wait.

I have a question- wait though- its a tad more speculation than a question,
and its a very broad question at that - and poorly put :

I'm wondering about Saros Danjin... What did he do just before he was exiled? Did he arrange for someone to look after Lunaci?

Saros must have known that Lunaci wanted to leave Belewae- did Saros not think that his brother will follow him after he is gone?
Also why wouldn't Saros hang around the outskirts to meet with Lunaci at least once?

I'm also thinking who else cares about those two? They have family and friends... Including their parents friends- no?
I bet some Teslu would also like that Lunar Scythe back- as it is an uncommon weapon after all...

Wouldn't some of the Teslu be worried as well?
They would think that Lunaci could do some damage- to their reputation- and to many people, he had been trained in combat, and you've said that Lunaci "acted out" a lot...
Some people wouldn't get him at first glance.
I wonder- did it become (or was it always) harder for Lunaci to socialise in his own society then others?

So with that in mind- er- I don't know what I'm asking!

Ah! What was the story, before, during and after Saros Danjin's exile?
Yeah... You don't have to answer any of that... I'm bushed- see ya!

On3On :

Nope, no sketch. I stippled that dragon out of boredom and just made it up as I went along.
I also don't know why I do it, but it's like I HAVE to stipple my signature on my stippled pieces or else it'll ruin the feel of the piece...even though it probably wouldn't. IDK.

Okay, now about Saros.

Do, he made no preparations for his younger brother prior to his exhile. This is because he wasn't exactly planning on being exhiled, as it was Lunaci's prank-gone-wrong that was the issue.

Lunaci, as stated before, was notorious for his pranking in Belewae, and after his father died, his pranks grew progressively worse and more dangerous. A common argument between him and Saros would be:
"Someone could have gotten hurt!"
"But nobody did! So it's FINE"

Of course, eventually in one of his pranks, teslu did get hurt. Lunaci caused a building to collapse by accident during a koronae prank (some of the buildings in Belewae are supported by magnetized Koronae, thus making the buildings float above their respective energy source) and although he made it out, not everyone else did. To make matters worse, he ran from the police and tried to fight them off (he was panicked).  He was brought in, charged, and it was announced that his punishment would be teslu exile which not only casts a teslu out of the city, but cuts them off from teslu society as well. Saros, not knowing how else to help, stepped in and lied, claiming he was the one who did the crime and that Lunaci was covering for him. He took the blame for many of Lunaci's past pranks too, thus cleaning Lunaci's slate but taking the penalty. He didn't get time to prepare anything. They only gave him enough time to say goodbye to Lunaci before he was cast out. Lunaci stopped pranking that day. Lunaci is technically not supposed to speak of his brother anymore, though he still does to his closest friends. He lived alone after his brother's departure, though his neighbors checked in on him now and then (family friends). He grew more distant from his friends, focusing more on his studies at school as well as in training.

Saros knew Lunaci had a curiosity for the outside world and constantly tried to convince him to stay in Belewae. He tried to explain the history of the teslu in the lower world, where the people would hunt them for their feathers, chase them away as demons, or steal their wings and horns to be used for magic (teslu poaching kills the teslu) and Lunaci would always argue that centuries have passed since then and they didn't know what it was like in the lower world anymore apart from the tidbits the teslu traders would tell them (But the teslu traders pretty much only come in contact with a small group of ground dwellers and don't stay long enough to actually learn about anything. They also don't even trade that much, maybe going down only a few times a year).  Saros tried to make it clear to Lunaci that the city was safe and the lower world was not. He made Lunaci promise never to leave the city, though Lunaci only gave a half-hearted '....yeah' in reply.

Saros had hoped Lunaci wouldn't follow him, though the foremost thought in his mind was his brother's safety. The reason he never met with Lunaci, apart from the fact that exile is cultural banishment (he knew Lunaci wouldn't care) is that, as stated before, Belewae is on a floating isle that cannot be reached without wings.

When a teslu is exiled, their wings are ripped off.

Lunaci's friends do miss him, but he became so estranged before he left, they saw it coming and knew they couldn't stop him. Teslu also don't like leaving their city, so it isn't unthinkable that they'd be too frightened to go after him. Lunaci had always been an odd one out for wanting to see the world. When he was very young, he was teased for this (also for his heterochromia) which is partially why he started pranking his bullies to stop them from picking on him. So yeah, socializing in his own culture wasn't exactly the easiest for Lunaci. His way of thinking generally made him the odd man out. After his brother's banishment, he really became hard to talk to, and often rambled about things that seemingly came out of nowhere, such as talking about what the moon looks like on the other side of the world in the middle of a discussion on plants. He even entered a state of depression shortly after witnessing his brother being de-winged, where he wouldn't talk to anyone at all, nor leave his room. One day he just came out all happy, bubbly, and giggly as usual, so most people think he's fine.

The lunar scythe isn't particularly uncommon. Yes, it is technically a rare weapon in the lower world, but to the teslu, it's just a simple scythe. It was a well made one, true, but replaceable. (The school also understands Lunaci's sentimental attachment to it, even if the police don't)

The teslu don't care what other people think about them, so  they don't care what teslu who leave the city do. They only care about their own culture.

So there you go, the Danjin siblings don't exactly have the happiest of stories (particularly Saros. His lack of wings not only eliminate his ability to fly, but since the wings is where most of a teslu's lunar energy is stored, he has become seriously hampered in his absorption ability.) During the years is takes for Lunaci to find his brother, Saros becomes unstable and their reUNION isn't exactly what lunaci expected.

Awww this dragon is so cute. Honestly, he (or she depending of the gender ^^) seems really nice and tame, not the kind of dragon using its breathe of fire to roast someone or something ha ha

Nice job, Kit. It looks like you use a pencil to make that, even if it's not the case, the illusion is good

Hawaiianbabidoll : Then I'm all the more impressed, it is an awesome stipple!

Thank you for the detailed reply... How do you type so fast!?
I'm going to have to read through this a couple of times before I remember anything though...
You should put a spoiler warning... I didn't want to know what happened when Lunaci met back up with Saros yet... Whinge whinge...

Nevertheless... I. Will. Have. More. Questions.

Thanks again for your time- later.
