final fantasy VII is awesome. It's the most played game have at home.

Final Fantasy 7 was awesome, thats the one that got me hooked into the series. I have enjoyed them all, but 7 was the one for me.

Hahaha.. that comic is slightly amusing, I must say. however, I would like to point out that I didn't say FF8 was bad, in fact it is my second-favorite Final Fantasy, probably followed by Final Fantasy III. I said Final Fantasy 7 was my favorite because of the easy storyline, not so much "opera", which personally I do not find fun. Besides, Cloud has a gigantic sword, and what could be better? As for the comic, I would like to put out that both games have a difference in characters due to limit breaks, each of which can be used in different ways. Additionally, I have to say that if something sells well, it is USUALLY a decent game. There are a few exceptions, but I do not feel FF7 is one of those. It is my opinion, and I do not feel like persuading you too much, because everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

lol, you're a good guy for that. yeah i have come across so many that are so stubborn and their like blah blah blah.
i find that because it was the first psx FF that alot just cling to that as their reasons. this is also the reason for huge sales, btw, cause it was the first FF not on nintendo, or something
unfortunatly for me it got spoilt because i didnt have a psx and everyone everywhere ruined the plot/storyline, made such a big deal about it, guys falling in love with Seph...
its like that episode of the simpsons where homer is coming out of star wars empire and says how vader was lukes father and everyone was like thanks alot jerk you just ruined the whole movie kind of thing.

IMO there are alot of exceptions, only because there are alot more jocks then nerds, and when jocks buy a game it sells big because there are alot of them, and their louder so their catered for more.
to me i'd hardly say, random example, saints row, is a decent game.
but again, my opinion.

I admit to the spoiling of the storyline, but even then you should still be able to glean more out of it the more you play it, and honestly the spin-off games do give more in-depth detail, except Crisis Core, which just made one cut scene IN FF7 look better graphics-wise, but really had no relevance to the storyline. Was good anyway, if a bit short.

I actually have not yet played Dirge of Cerebus, but I heard it was a great game. Advent Children is decent, like you said, not really anything special, but I did like the CGI, and it was interesting to see how people got on AFTER the war and all that. And of course, Sephiroth had to make a showing because thats who he is.

urk, cant stand Seph, remind me too much of this guy i knew.
wouldnt stop hitting on me (creepy), major prima-dona, in love with himself and Seph.
sorta looked like him too, except fat.

Haha.. I enjoy Sephiroth greatly. (not in a creepy guy-love way) He is the essence of insanity, a well that I sometimes draw deeply on (insanity, not Sephiroth) He is a classic example of good-guy turned evil.

Final Fantasy 7 was the first of the final fanasies that i played so i would have to say FF7 and the fact that it rocks in all fields - game play, storyline(its crazy at first but you wanna learn more about the plot), and some of the music is good also. It took me 5 days straight to beat it bk when i was young

hmm...

so i tried out Dirge. controls suck. i damn hate these console games where you have to aim with the right stick. like a FPS but in third person.
i spose i could try and play through the game only using punches and kicks since those dont require the aim system.
maybe im too old school, but i dont like holding the controller with thumbs on both sticks and fingers on L&R 1&2.

have you guys seen the trailer for FFXIII (13) yet?
it looks cool. also looks like squeenix are trying to kill xbox.

If you play it for long spans of time you can easily do it in 5 days haha. I've beaten plenty of games in well within a week, but that was about all I did outside of eating sleeping and bathing for that week.

oh no i understand that part easy. im saying ive done that on other games and its taken longer then 5 days. and obviously if your doing a replay of a game you've finished it will take less time as well, so those dont count, only the first play through

I like Tactics alot. Its really fun, and has a very good storyline.
Sadly, i'm the only one to vote for it..
i mean, ff7 was fun, and had a good storyline, but tactics is the one i would spend the most time on. Its also the most challenging; every battle is a threat to die.

I didnt like tactics that much, the gameplay was fun and it had a good story but disgaea was a better stratagy rpg.
But i'd have to say that my favorite FF game would have to be
FFV it had an awsome storyline the job system was great(witch I prefer job system FF games) plus it was the classic 2d style
rpg witch u can never top.

Well true, it was more...well RTS mixed with RPG.
thats why i guess i liked it so much.

Hmm hard decision but i loved Final Fantasy 10 (X) a lot the story was awesome!

You don't even need a gameshark to go over 9999 in FFX, you just need to know what you're doing.

Well my favorite would have to be between Final Fantasy II (the first one I ever played, also on my old, but still working Super Nintendo), Final Fantasy VI, or Final Fantasy X.
