I use the Logitech computer controller. Along with this I downloaded a free program called Joy2key that helps to easily map the controller buttons to corresponding keyboard buttons. Without this I would be hopeless trying to play the games because I am too used to a controller setup and everything is backwards and too spread out on a keyboard.

seeron : I use my keyboard but if I had the resources I would try a controller especially for the N64 games. I never owned an N64 console as I’ve been a Playstation gamer from the beginning but I’ve always heard that the N64 games were worth a look. I don’t know where one would go for a PC controller and more importantly which one would be compatible?

I use my Keyboard...although it would be alot easier with a controller. But I don't like easy...I like a challenge. I beat several RPG games with the keyboard....Zelda Ocarina of Time and FF7 to name a few..

I have not got around to getting PC controller yet, I probably will buy the Vizzed controller if David is able to get them. My only setback is, call me a noob whatever, I've never played with a PC controller so I don't know the compatibility of it for the different consoles.

However, I've managed to adapt to the keyboard for the games I own on Vizzed, not easly though .

I used to use an old micrsofoft sidewinder gamepad that came with my computer to play games on, it had 6 buttons plus 2 triggers, start, select and mode button that made 11 in total and was good for playing games on but the keys quickly began to sink with heavy use and I got huge blisters on my thumb from manipulating the direction pad. I used to get these with my sega one too, but at least it was more responsive.

so I stopped ussing it as it was totally useless and believe it or not I found my keyboard more responsive

I found this at an old boot fair and thought it would be perfect and give my ole thumbs a rest, but alas, it was and proved to be useless and I guess only fit for flying simulation games, but even then its lack of controls would render it too basic pretty qucikly.

This made me really sad as I used to use a joystick alot with my old Spectrum and had a really really good one I used to use that beleive it or not, depsite the fact it had 6 buttons, they all did the same thing, FIRE! but the combination of an autofire switch - especially on shoot em ups and microswitches made it unbeatable, it even had a timer on it which the sales person told me was for ceompetitions, can you imagine me with a joystick they used in comepetitions I was like amazed.

I still dream of getting a new PC controller, but in reality nothing beats the feel of playing the game on the orignal machine.

I think this is going too far, however, as it looks too complicated and as far removed from the simplicity of the games we all used to play in the first place

but as I grew up around the arcades would prefer somthing like this

but can I say finally, while we are on the topic long live the MechWarrior steel battalion controller and long live the inventer, I bless him with many happy children and would love this on my PC right now!!!!

At the moment i might as well be smashing my face into the keyboard when i play games here because that's about as useful as i am using the keys.I need to buy a controller that everyone speaks of. Do you ever get that feeling that you just dont have enough thumbs and fingers..?

QUESTION - Is the controller for the PC a generic one that covers all of the consoles ?

Another QUESTION - Can i ask questions in someone elses thread, or do i have to start a new thread to do that ?

Once again to all who dont know me, I'm the New dude who doesn't get around much in these circles so get used to ridiculous questions. I apologize.

I'm still using the keyboard. I'm kinda partial to the NES games anyhow, because that's what I grew up with. I plan on getting a PC controller someday.
