I'm doing fine. I've always been a bit tight with spending money so the most I'll use up every week is on train tickets. I'm lucky in that I'm an only child so my parents are able to fund my tuition and dorm rent until I graduate. At which point I'll be able to pay them back over the years.

When I was a little kid my dad put a few thousand in my name in a savings account and some stock things (I have no clue how that stuff works but yeah) and that has grown quite a lot since. I don't touch it and I probably won't ever unless the situation desperately requires it.

Because of her condition my mom gets paid child support by the government as long as I'm still studying. That money is honestly enough for me to get by a whole year because I'm living the instant noodles college student lifestyle.

Right now things are a lot slower than normal. Ended up quitting all of my extra jobs for a while since I just started my final semester of grad school and need to focus on doing my thesis in addition to class and work. So right now I'm only doing 12 hours a week of my regular job on top of full time school and thesis.

I'm also looking fot a few small freelance writing jobs that I can do a little bit here and there. I applied at places like Screen Rant and Anime News Network.

I'm also working on getting my summer internship set up now.

After my vacation my money took a dip and it’ll take at least a week or two to get it back up again to where it was. I mean I’m still financially stable, more than that but I’m those types that like to keep my money on a constant or above and hate seeing it being less than the constant if you know what I mean. OCD kinda shiz

Hi all! At the age of 14, I realized that almost all the richest people in the world are entrepreneurs. I wanted to become like them, and I began to actively study the issue: I read, watched videos on how to open my own business. I was looking for the experience of schoolchildren-businessmen, but did not find anything sensible. As a result, until the age of 16, I actively studied entrepreneurship from all its sides and tried to launch small business projects. I studied a lot of online business seminars and met my future partner at one of these events. I was 17, I went to school and lived in Lublin, he was 22, and lived in Warsawa. We had never met at that time, but both wanted to develop in IT. We began to study the market, considered various ideas, including those for implementation abroad.studying at school, even without a secondary education, to do business? It was something incredible for them, there were no such examples around. But in general they were not opposed. There was a condition: if you want to do business, you can do it, but only so that studies and sports do not suffer. My parents still support me in all endeavors.

I’m not going to say anything but this is the most bs I ever read. At age 14 wanted to study entrepreneurship and created this site when you’re basically 13 because it was founded on 2014….

SonicOlmstead : thoughts on the post above me?

Sometimes there are still benefits to living at home and not owning a Car, I'm actually quite okay considering that fact that I'm not going to be working for two months, I'm not a compulsive gambler, I only go once in awhile and normally I do know what to stop, I mostly just do the video slots because I don't care for Craps, or the roulette, or Keno...I used to play Bingo at the casino though but that was a different lifetime

Well my finances are looking rather decent at this moment since my vacation back in March. Less work due to low inventory and been indulging myself with comfort instead of hitting the gym or anything productive. Just spending more than I usually do the last two months though I’m not trying to turn that into a habit…

In the middle of May, I finally got my summer internship set up, which is around 35 hours a week but it's all remote and writing based so it's pretty easy and it pays well to. Since it's an internship, I have to save some of the money to pay for the credits but there's a lot left over and that mixed with my regular job and me reopening my store have made the summer pretty decent so far in terms of finance.

The only downside is that I'll have to start paying back all my student loans soon, it's not going to be a lot but it will be a challenge for a little while.

My finances look very decent and promising. I have a nice income that I can safely manage, and I have a wide margin to spend in caprices.

I haven't yet indulged in my caprices as I'm extremely busy with my flat, but once that's done and dusted trust me I'll give myself a treat or two. Plus, I could receive a small government boost for the rent, which would only give me a wider margin.

I'm a university student so clearly, that means I live off of takeaway, pot noodles, and fizzy drinks and make bad and impulsive life decisions. Only half of these are true and I still have a few more years left so who knows it may ring true to a greater degree with time but only time will tell and I don't think it has a mouth.

I can't complain. I recently got a good salary increase, the house is paid for and gas prices are going down. Since I like couponing and get to the grocery store first thing in the morning (to get clearance items), I can't say I've felt the brunt of inflation there. And since I'm a rather austere guy, I hardly spend money on decorations or the latest phone.

Absolutely the best it's ever been. I'm not getting paid a whole lot, but my mother is still willing to let me ride her insurance until I'm overaged for it, so I'm hardly paying any bills. Everything is going straight into savings. Since I'm not paying for insurance or many benefits at all, I'm earning more per paycheck than people who get paid slightly more than me, which is nice.

Its been better that's for sure. The past year or so I've been living paycheck to paycheck, barely scraping by come the end of the month. It's a big contrast from where I was a few years ago, living at home and being able to throw around money.

That's something I'm looking to change during the coming year. I'll be graduating and taking a break from studying after that. It has been difficult to face, studying has more or less always occupied my mind since graduating high school, but that's also exactly why I need a break.

Hopefully that means getting a more qualified temporary job rather than the low paid part time stuff I've got going on now. But overall I can't complain too much since I'm getting by. I've never been one to care much about material things, and that's doubly true after getting further into my studies. The reason I'm in this situation is largely because of the choices I've made. Moving out earlier than I had to and pursuing interests that equate to less stable career paths. Fortunately neither of those are choices I regret. I'm excited to see what lies ahead.

Honestly to me, I hate where I'm at, but I know there are a lot people who'd kill to have my spot. I make a little more than min wage, and I just recently got another dollar raise. But for me, the difference is that when I lived with my parents I was able to put away at least 1k a month in savings, and now I can barely put 250 in. It's hard always seeing the number just not high enough, because it causes some of the most stress and anxiety, to where I don't want to spend any money, but also I can't or I'll die. I lost like 15 lbs in my first few months bc I wasn't spending money on food because I felt like I'd run out of money and get evicted.

Obviously, that wasn't the case and I was just getting used to the new setting, now I have an okay number in my account and I'm getting more used to trying to sort out my funds, and it's actually very fun. I don't regret this experience at all because it definitely helped me see, that even with 2 jobs it really is impossible to have a perfect standing in America.

Pretty solid honestly. My mom still pays my cell phone bill (she has some kind of family plan) but beyond that I'm completely financially independent.

My pay varies based on how many students I have, how many classes I'm scheduled to teach, and how much curriculum development work my employer has for me to work on, but I'm making around $5000 a month right now. My girlfriend makes around $1500—$2000 a month working part-time at Target. We live in a decent-sized three-bedroom apartment that we pay $900 per month for (West Virginia is dirt cheap). We have more than enough to cover rent, utilities, groceries, gas, car insurance, etc.

We're slowly saving to buy a house. I have $37K in the bank right now, which would be enough for a down payment on a house if we wanted to stay in West Virginia, but we're considering moving to central Florida, which would be a little more costly.

I would like to have more money coming in each month by the time we're ready to have children, but for now we're doing pretty well.

Right now I'm better off than I was before because I've been actively looking for another job to add to my current schedule and I have been able to take on a lot more freelance work over the past couple of months.

But more importantly, I got back into investing, but I've been putting my money into safe stocks that pay out dividends so that I could put in money that I don't need at the time and then get a little back here and there.

I've always had a pretty big entrepreneurial spirit, and I've transformed $20 from my grandfather into the game collection I have today. In times of personal struggle, I was able to continue building or changing around my collections to fit my market analysis, and more importantly not miss out on the best games that I wanted to play.

I have a decent amount of physical assets that are valued above $20,000, but I also have a hefty bank loan from the two years when I wasn't able to get through college and my girlfriend got sick. I've often considered selling off a large portion of my collection to pay off my loan and change my trading activity to Pokemon cards as long holding sealed boxes of cards is a far more certain moneymaker than even stocks at this point.

I've used exclusively "house money" on my game collection, very rarely using my own money to buy more games, but rather the gains from selling certain games during a price peak. In addition, a lot of the games I own, I got very cheap in order to profit off of digital store closures including the 3DS and the PS3, which are both expected to close this year.

Outside of that, things haven't been going very well. I make 1500-1600 a month with 900 in rent, 200 in groceries, and 300-400 in other bills. This would normally leave 100 a month for other things to keep myself happy. Given the ADHD that I wasn't aware of, I've been prone to impulse buying and have been lucky enough to not have much to spend, and smart enough to keep my online purchases to a debit Visa that I only load up when I'm absolutely certain I need something. Trading cards at Walmart have gotten in the way of that, while also giving me a decent amount of quick return on investment.

Now that my girlfriend is healthier and employed part time, it's been a lot easier to put money away and make payments on my loan. It should be gone by August if my calculations are right, and then I'll be able to use my new skills to provide production, mixing and mastering services to musicians, hold onto a couple of high-demand Pokemon boxes, and start trading stocks again once it looks like the bear market is turning around. These are all things that may take 3-5 years to properly establish or time out, but now's the time to get ready for it.
