The Cold War
When I was seven years old, I used to have one of those controllers that you can plug into a T.V. and play the variety of games that was on the controller. The controller was shaped like a box with a joystick, two buttons, and I think a start button. I usually sit in my playroom with a little T.V. that was placed on a rack with my brother sitting next to me. All the games on the controller were all arcade games, and most of them were released on the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Atari 2600. Some of the games that I remembered were Galaga, Frogger, this Kung-fu, Street Fighter sort of game, and Rush’n Attack. Some of the games were easy to play, and some were difficult and frustrating. The Street Fighter kind of game was the one I mostly played, and I typically reach up to level twenty and die. Galaga is the game I die on the third or fourth level. Frogger is one of the easiest games on the controller. The game that I am focusing on in this review is Rush’n Attack.      Rush’n Attack was first known as the title “Green Beret” in the arcade industry. The arcade game was created by Konami, one of the best companies to manufacture video games in the late 1980’s through the 2000’s, and produced in the year 1985. Green Beret and Rush’n Attack are both similar games but have different elements in graphics, characters, and mostly the name. Green Beret is about an American person who is sent out to free his soldiers from a Russian prison camp. The American wears a green camouflage uniform, and the Russians wear different kinds of uniforms. There are a total of four levels in this arcade game.      Two years later, Konami released the arcade game on the NES but changed some things. They changed the title name, the main player, the Russians, the plot, mostly everything. Ok, maybe the two games are different but has the share of graphics in sort of way. Anyway, t...     Sega Corporation is the mastermind of Rocky (1987 video game). Sega is a cosmopolitan company that develops video game games and console and arcade software. The company is headquartered in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan; Sega previously manufactured and produced its own home video game consoles as well as video games from 1983 to 2001, but a reorganize was announced on January, 2001, that finished continuing production of Sega’s existing home console, successfully losing the company from the home console business. While arcade development would continue unchanged, the restructure of Sega shifted of the company’s video game software growth by third-party manufacturers.     Sega Corporation is divided among countries. The regular Sega Corporation is in Ōta, Tokyo, Japan. Sega’s European division, Sega Europe Ltd., is located in Brentford, Untied Kingdom. Sega of America, North American division, is headquartered in San Francisco, California. Sega Australia is in Sydney and Sega Korea is based in Jongno, Seoul, Korea. Sega also has small companies in France, The Netherlands, and Spain.     The company’s history is dated back to 1940 by the company named Standard Games in Honolulu, Hawaii.  In 1951, Raymond Lemaire and Richard Stewart, owners of Standard Games, moved the company to Tokyo to develop coin-machines and slots and renamed their company to Service Games. Within about five to ten years. Service Game began importing these machines to American military bases throughout Japan.     In 1954, David Rosen, an American officer in the Air Force, presented a business in Tokyo that launched a two minute photo booth. This company became Rosen Enterprises, and in 1957 the company began to manufacture coin-arcade machines. By 1965, Enterprises created over 100 arcades, with Service Games as its competitor. Rosen then arranged a union between Rosen Enterprises and Service Gam... Read the rest of this Review

The Fight of the Dragons
The computer and video game company, Tradewest, is the producer of this appealing game. Tradewest is an American video game company, based in Corsicana, Texas, that generated numerous video and computer games in the 1980’s to the early 1990’s. The company is best recognizes as the publisher of Battletoads and many more video games in North America and maybe all over the world.     Tradewest was founded in 1986 by John Rowe, Leland Cook, and Byron Cook. This game company started out by contriving arcade games in the United States such as Victory Road, Alpha Mission, Redline Racer, and Super Off-Road. In 1987, Tradewest put all the arcade games behind and began applying on the home consoles market. Tradewest purchased Cinematronics’s video game developer and helper of El Cajon, California whose previous games included Dragon’s Lair and Space Ace and recall it to be The Leland Corporation. John Rowe was chosen to run this company because of his successful history in the video game industry.
In 1994, the Tradewest industry was renamed Williams Entertainment Incorporation, and also the end of the Tradewest as a company. The company, Williams Entertainment Inc, became WMS’s, Williams and Midway brands, official division and the doorway to the video game console market. WMS in 1996 was losing interest and becoming bankrupt. Williams Entertainment, Inc, was transferred to Midway who characterizes the business to become the division Midway Home Entertainment Incorporation. Like it was, the division served as Midway to the home console market, which could now develop and publish video games without the help of any publishers. The company employs Byron Cook as president of the Midway Home Entertainment and John Rowe as the Vice-Chairman and Director of Product Development to develop and publish games for Nintendo Game Cube, Microsoft Xbox, Sony Playstation, and PC.  &nb... Bubble Bobble Pop!
Taito is the founder of this platforming game. Taito is a Japanese publisher of video games software who is own today by the publisher of Square Enix. The corporation was founded in 1953 by a businessman named Michael Kogan. Taito started out as a vending machine company, later began selling out jukeboxes, and ultimately established to manufacture on their own. Taito presented their first video arcade game in 1973. In 1978, Toshihiro Nishikado, a designer working for Taito, invented Space Invaders which became the most memorable games in the arcade history. In 1979, because of the huge success of Space Invaders, Taito opened an American version of the Taito Corporation so they can release games in North America. The corporation was located in Illinois and was handling the arcade sector of the company in North America.     Taito has had a big authority on the course of video game years ago and going on today, developing some innovative games. Space Invaders is the most notable, but games such as Qix, Jungle Hunt, Elevator Action, Puzznic, and Operation Wolf. Some licensed games from the company of Hanna-Barbara are The Flintstones and The Jetsons.
Taito also made a unique and innovative game called Bubble Bobble. In 1988, Bubble Bobble was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System in North America. Bubble Bobble is about two dinosaurs, I think, named Bob and Bub, as you can see by the title cover, who traveled into a mysterious and most magical cave while monsters are trying to attack them. They were once human and when they stepped into the cave they were turned into dinosaurs, oddly enough.
In the game, each level is a single stage. The enemies you are to face are wizards, wind-up toys, globs with mouths that bounces all over the place, and so many more. You get items that you use along the ways such as umbrellas, lightning bubbles, shoes, and water bubbles. Your main wea... Read the rest of this Review

Mission 1: Review Top Gun
Konami is the originator of Top Gun. Konami was one of the companies that achieve the best video games during the 1980's through the 2000's. This company was found in other companies such as Nintendo and Sega. Konami first started in 1969 when Kagemasa Kozuki, a chief executive officer, found a repair business in Osaka, Japan. On March 19, 1973, Kozuki transformed the business which is known today, Konami. The association began building "entertainment machines" for the arcades. Some well classic arcades include Frogger and Super Cobra. In 1982, Konami manufactures PC games and in 1983, they assemble MSX games. The year 1985 is when Konami teamed up with Nintendo and produce video games for the Famicom and the NES and in the late 80's Konami combine with Sega to make games that goes with the Genesis.

Konami holds a collection of the best games out there and some that are okay and well known. Some games that were the best were Castlevania, Contra, Life Force, Gradius and many more! Some okay games for its time are Metal Gear, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Skate or Die!, and many more. The particular game that will fit in the well known collection is Top Gun.

Top Gun was based on the movie in 1986. Top Gun is an action game in a first person perspective. This game is about a player, that’s you, have to navigate and do missions, while riding a plane called F-14 Tomcat. At the end of each mission, except the first one, the player has to kill or damage a boss and land the plane. The first mission gives you a practice round and no boss yet you have to land the plane. The final mission is to destroy a space shuttle. There are two endings, one is good and one is bad. If you beat the game, beat every boss, and land the plane of every single ending launch sequence, you get the plane, descending into the carrier. The pilot will wave at their crews. Pretty lame. The bad ending occurs when you have a ... Read the rest of this Review
