Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

A classic masterpiece
This is a classic masterpiece. I know the nerd had problems with a couple of the jumps, who doesnt they were just badly designed.

But I remeber when I first played this game and each time I did I was practically quivering wiht excitement, I do absolutely think all those all of those games in those days made me feel like that and I was very excited to have been granted the magnificent opportunity to play the game here.

It has great game play and is easy to pick up, with as I mention some flaws, but that was common to games then - and now.

It is a real gem with fine graphics and sound for the time - Heroes in a Half Shell - Its got Turtle Power.

I found it quite addictive with variety and lots of different types of action. You can play the game as a variety of characters all authentic to the screen. Michaelagelo, Donatello, Leanoardo and Rapheal. What a delight and a treat for us is in store when we unleash the power - Turtle power.

For those that don't know they were mutated form rejected pet turtles by mutagen from shredder and krang released from dimension x. It also mutated master chung and turned him in to a rat like man creature with still awesome power.

They each have a weapon of choice, bo, nunchuk, staff, sai and sword but they never kill anyone and only fight with robot clones. Rock it steady and bebop a loo bop are mutated pig like hogs and rhino but they are not very clever and easy to defeat.

You can play as a teenage mutant ninja turtle and not a teenage mutant hero turtle, so it is as authentic as you can get and I really appreciate small attention to detail very much indeed and that is what makes this game feel and play right.

I like the rolling jumps and the feel of this game and think its timeless.

I hope you enjoy playing it too.

The music and sounds are excellent and being the game alive. Cowabunga dude, its pizza time for sure! Read the rest of this Review
SNK vs. Capcom - SVC Chaos (JAMMA PCB, set 1)

Super Street Fighter vs SNK is no joke!
This game is everything you could ever want from a Street Fighter game.

But this time it's versus SNK!

Capcom vs SNK playmore USA!

Beautiful starting sequences!

A true arcade classic and so much fun to play.

Overall it is a great game.

Graphics are great.

sound is wonderfully rich and deep.

It's very addictive.

The street fighter story is majorly improved and takes off with the entrance of new fighters.

SNK vs Capcom is awesome.

A progressively difficult game play.

Very enjoyable and great depth.

I love the familiar sounds.

I like the familiar feel to the game.

I enjoy the similar special moves with a few tweaks.

Sonic
What a thoroughly miserable game.

I wanted to like it so much, but it just depressed me.

I think there is a good game here.

I mean it's not bad, you can play it, but I like the speed from Sonic and that is not what I got as I had to keep stopping to tackle an obstacle then just spin through it.

I think it's okay, but I want to enjoy games and be entertained and I was just left drained.

It just never grabbed me the way Sonic 2 did when I got my Sega!

Water Splash
This gameis addictive.

Very very addictive.

We at Vizzed loved it, loved it, loved it!

Its maega simple, super hard and mega addictive.

watch the plant grow with water drops and rain.

the plant grows with each move of the branch 'ladders'

its about the kind of addictive fun that signifies the difference between America and Japan.

Orignally the kind of game that would not make it as a Japanese import.

The growth of this game is phernominal and we ove it.

I played this for hours and hours.

The drops of rain water get bigger as they grow.

The plant takes root and grows into a beautiful flower.

You can read the book, wear the T-Shirt and the DVD, but unless you know your history you won't know your future.

and this is where all the gaming genius began.

With these technically genius games.

This stuff is simple and takes a minute to learn but a lifetime to master.

The colour is black and white monochrome.

The sound is not polyphonic.

the controls simple.

The methodology complex.

you initally start with a small plant and it grows and it grows, but only if you get the water to the plant and that is not easy, not, easy at all, no!

You have a time ticking time limit. The time limit goes down all the time, it ticks away and you had better watch the time or you had better watch out.

I never let the time go down and try to complete the game as quickly as possible for a mega mega joy joy finish.

I am very jealous of those who can read Japanese as they can play this game in its original splendor and not in its ported version.

Can we get a translation, well you don't need it as you can work it out, this is not an RPG.

The levels progress as teh game goes on and it gets progressively harder and harder and harder ... Read the rest of this Review

Not my favourite game of the genre
This is a good type of game of the genre and one that should be played at least once, but that is about it, you may not return.

The graphics are too pixelated and the sound a little repetitive.

The game play will have you at school dueling a number of opponent again and again the same.

The Jungle Book 2
"Ohhhhh how cute...", I thought when I was reminded of my first experiences with the Disney version of the jungle book during ones childhood and ported to the game boy advance handheld system reviewed here.

The first impression after turning encouraged my memories, and I think only "Ohhhhh how cute...". But back to the reality and the actual reason of this test, so away with the sentimental memories. As mentioned, the presentation of the game is really cutely arranged, very child friendly and clearly held amidst everything Disney film snippets from the old film and garnished with nice details.

In the role of the little boy Mogli searching through his forests and caves looking after small statues to bring you experience points, as well as rafting parts, to cross a river for example and fighting evil butterflies. These "battles" need to be completed but are completely without violence. They are played out in a puzzle kind of way and yet entertaining at the beginning. In the course of the game, these puzzles develop only slightly and are stimulating. Also non-violently "Boss fights” are fought in the tradition of dance games like "Dance Dance Revolution”.

Each level is filled with more "Ohhhhh how cute..." moments and intermediately through out the game are images and "Ohhhhh how cute..." video snippets from the film.

Graphically it all looks mostly good, with beautiful colors. The sound is also okay too, it stresses the atmosphere and enhances the game.

Disney lovers will no doubt love this game and it is really recommended for children who will also appreciate "Ohhhhh how cute it is.
Devil Crash MD

Devil Crash MD
Devil crash or Devil ´s crush, as the game for the Turbo Grafx is called is a devilishly good Pinball game which one can escape difficult if they even began to play it. There is probably no second game of this type that is innovative, full of ideas and fascinating as devil crash. This creepy spectacle of a game appeared originally on the PC engine, Devil crash MD was converted but a year later under the name of Technosoft for Sega's mega drive, where it technically entirely revised and playful something changed.

The main graphical format of Devil crash covers three screen sizes and is divided accordingly, also in three sections, which are built from top to bottom. The bizarre fantasy graphics alone in themselves will already most certainly more attract your attention at the beginning, as well as magnificent game play, because the demonic atmosphere they created will take your breath away. Which consists of a great skeleton warrior, which includes a large portal with multiple inputs, with his arms on a Pentagram a bevy of wizards celebrated their dark rituals awaits you at the top of the playing field. The next level is dominated by a large face of a woman, which whenever you make one small Pentagram turns to a daemon. And finally there is a tower, flanked by a dragon and a spirit, in the middle of the bottom and at the same time dangerous, level of hell. Since this game is devilishly difficult to watch, it can al too easily happen that you are not always entirely focused on the ball, it can very easily happen then that it disappears faster into the abyss of no return, faster then you able to press the buttons on the flippers.

In all three sections many various monsters romp around which will influence the course of your balls, but when hit and you have destroyed them a number of them bring you additional points and various bonuses. Everywhere there are a variety of ways, where one you ball can snag you even more extra points, or activate s... Read the rest of this Review
Shadow of the Beast

Shadow of the Beast
Shadow of the beast is probably one of the most popular home computer games ever. At the time of its appearance, the game gave the world at that time full of hostile Amiga and Atari ST followers something amazing to admire. This was the sensational, at that time technical implementation of flawless Parallax scrolling and huge boss sprites. The playability was a little off track, but the atmosphere conveyed by the graphics and music was simply unique and had to ignore. Between the Amiga and Atari ST. most people voted in favour of Commodore Amiga which shows this game in slightly better quality.

You start the game with a humanoid beast in a beautiful and sunny landscape near a fountain. When you first play shadow of the beast, one has to go to the options to the left or right. Leaving the player free to choose its path, until you find that the wrong decision brings a premature end. The game play is here unfortunately completely fixed and predefined, even if it looks different in the beginning. You should turn left. After a few meters of racing that simply beautiful view is due to the scrolling first opponents which will meet our unusual hero. These have to be defeated with a targeted fist shock, but only when it strikes accurately and at the right time. A seconds delay and you have thus missed the right opportunity one directly lose one of his twelve life points. Suddenly springing up shooting traps ensure before reaching the target again for a further loss of life. After some time you get to an old tree, you may enter. Once again as a player you are amazed by the sensational and dense background graphics. The number of enemies and obstacles is here consistently and too soon see you at the end of his forces arrive. Still impressed by the graphics, creating somehow a bottle to achieve, which equips the weakened body with new forces. And after not too long ago one sees a winged demon with fire spitting and guarded an ORB is the first great foe against. You ... Read the rest of this Review

Daze Before Christmas
Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas, but wait it's "only days before Christmas Santa slept in his house, an evil plot was bewing cooked up by awful louse. The cold and evil snowman scared all the elves away, timekeeper stole plans from Santas house that day. But for the vicious louse this wasn't bad enough; -I'm really gonna show'em I'm gonna play rough!!!"

And, yes boys and girls, its up to you as Santa to fight the evil snowmen and stuff. And, oh yeah, with the power of Santa's magic coffee, you also get the chance to turn into Anti-Santa (Heh, the Anti-Krist? and when you're Anti-Santa, you're harder to damage, your attack changes and cool music plays.

At the start, as a platform game, you have two options of play: magic attack (which looks like snow) and jump. There really isn't much to do except jump and kill things, imagine that Santa killing things. Scattered throughout the levels are enemies and gifts, which contain either bonuses, enemies, or bombs (insert your favorite Unabomber joke here). And of course there's your standard platform game obstacles, moving platforms, etc.

Occasionally, you'll have to jump in your sleigh and deliver your gifts by throwing your packages out of the sleigh into chimneys while avoiding various obstacles (depending on the city): in England, you must dodge hot-air balloons (!?) and helicopters. In Russia? You must avoid pieces of the Mir Space Station. Japan? and..........? Dogs with nuclear rockets tied to their backs????????

The designers tried to be creative with the bosses too, but only one gripe, they're a bit too easy to beat, but we can't make things too hard for poor ole Santa can we and ourselves with all our energies going to our stomachs with all that turkey and stuffing we are having to digest! The enemies overall, however, are festive and fun and after all this is a great chance to have a good old fashioned blast.

The graphics are nicely rendered without being overly ... Read the rest of this Review
Columns

Columns
Columns is one of the most popular puzzle games which has the same underlying principle as Tetris. As a player you have the task to sort the blocks falling from above on to a field that is still quite empty at the beginning, and to sort them specifically according to matching gems to get them to disappear and ultimately to get points. The falling blocks in columns always consist of a series of three colorful gemstones. During the fall down, the order of precious stones of the player can be changed as often as you like to achieve the desired effect: creating a matching series of three or more stones. These can be horizontally, vertically or diagonally. Chain reactions will get you the most points and get you faster to the next level. The transition from one level to the next is continuous and reflected in a higher speed of falling of blocks. The goal of the game is to reach a high score, at each level, because the number of colorful stones falling is infinite. From the ninth level onwards, however, the blocks fall but so quickly that you absolutely have no time to find more time think as a player. The preview of the next block to appear however also helps. This game will get hectic pretty quickly and game over is inevitable after a short time.

At home I used to have this also on the Sega Mega drive as well as the Game gear version being reviewed here. In addition to the usual settings the games only slightly vary in graphical variations, being functional, yet basic. There were some enhanced versions released over the following years, but on each the game play is always roughly the same, the crucial added fun factor being a two player version, however, which certainly adds to the games longevity.

Conclusion: Columns is a good game that really stimulates the old grey matter, it was in a way Sega’s ‘Tetris’ and while the popularity of Nintendo’s little machine (of which Tetris was included, making it some believe crucia... Read the rest of this Review
Moon Patrol (Atarisoft)

Moon Patrol
Moon patrol, another timeless classic of video game history for the C64, and also by IREM Corp., probably one of the most iconic game forging companies out there (just think of R-type). It is therefore only right and proper that a short report to this game is to find on to Vizzed's pages. Or is there someone about disagrees? No? Good! Then lets begin.

I played this game very often and very much like Moon patrol in the 80´s arcades. Hmm… When I think about it, I have to say that Moon patrol could inspire all players right away because the gameplay was or is still very simple, but very entertaining for this reason, just like Mario is simple, yet highly engaging. The technical performance is simply sensational time standards. Yes, the game had scrolling and the same two whole levels. It was, then, called Parallax scrolling. The foreground scrolls faster than the background, creating a spatial illusion that suggests us the satisfaction that the mountains in the background seems to be really far. A major improvement on other games of the time then was the scrolling introduced to us by IREM Corp, in this groundbreaking shooter Defender, we were faced with the delights of highly technical graphics for the time. There was also the picture of moon patrol which was really much more colorful and much nicer than the previous games, who have only black backgrounds. Moon patrol can indeed be regarded as one of the best games in this country now bygone era of arcade games.

What should you do but actually play Moon patrol! As I said before, the game is really simple. You control, as a player, one moon buggy, from a side on perspective, on the rugged lunar surface and must reach a starting - from point A to point Z. This task being of which is of course not so easy, that should be obvious to everyone, the very long way with many common obstacles is provided. A crater in the Lunar soil or carefully designed mines must be skillfully skipped, and the ot... Read the rest of this Review
Boy and His Blob, A - Trouble on Blobolonia
02-20-12 05:21 PM
A Boy and his Blob
A boy and his blob is quite simply one of the most iconic and classic NES games. The history of the game is quite simple and completely corresponds to the original template. Planet Blobonia is suppressed by a power-hungry Emperor and bullied. One of the residents go on the Earth where he meets a little boy lost looking for help. The two friends get on after a few moments of horror and decide to rescue Blobonia from the clutches of evil; together they form a strong team.

The game is amazing and unique and in essence is beautiful comparable with no other game. The pear-shaped clay figure BLOB can freely change its shape. The process of transformation is made by colourful jelly beans that the boy can feed it if necessary. Depending on the color of the bean BLOB changes to a ladder, a trampoline, a bouncy ball and other things. To achieve the goal of each level packaged as a delicious bean, the boy has various obstacles using BLOB transformations or bypass. It is the smallest fall into a void that kills you and this requires in addition to mental work, primarily skill as or a leap into the void immediately disposes of the spoon. Infinite life and more than just generously distributed reset points compensate but never really ease the frustration.

The degree of difficulty of the game is relatively simple, which is not necessarily bad considering the young target group. A total of 40 regular levels played out in four worlds including the planet Blobonia and the fortress of the evil emperor. The special challenge of each individual level but is in finding the three hidden treasure chests each granting access to a bonus round. These are additional stages, bringing the total number of levels to 80. These levels are generally somewhat more difficult than the regular and have no reset points. For this reason, they can be quite demanding even for experienced players, even the Advanced play where blobs repertoire was previously extended to many new skills.... Read the rest of this Review
Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse

Castle of Illusion
Another classic platformer from Disney and one little cracker of a game.

On this iconic jump and run, the sweetheart of our hero Mickey Mouse is taken by an old an evil witch, following the kidnap the player must now head out to her help and save her, all exciting stuff you will agree. Granted, the story of this Mickey Mouse game for the master system (also ported naturally to the game gear) is extremely common, but the game just happens to also be extremely entertaining, even after 20 years!

As mentioned, it is the job of you playing as Mickey Mouse to free his beloved Minnie from the clutches of the evil old witch in a typical jump ´ n ´ run platformer manner. Overall you have to contend with six varied worlds before you face the witch. The themes all differ completely and this makes for great range in the game- ranging from the classic forest level with the concurrent trees to a confectionery world and a dark damp scary Dungeon, all are rendered in beautiful detail for the Master System. Each level offers also offers several enemies that are, surprisingly, right to the environment and a large, scary final enemy on each to deal with.

Speaking overall, the game level develops steadily and the player must constantly improve their skills, without ever really being unfairly handled by the game.

Besides additional lives, coins and more vitality there unfortunately no other extras in the game to find, this however, does not detract from this game and pleasure after finding secret chests.

Both playful and graphically the same both the master system and game gear and versions are similar, but I would recommend the Master System version because the game gear display we know is sometimes slightly muddy and cloudy.

The graphics represent the best you can get from the system all still retain great game play and feature great animations, bold colors and endless details, this truly shows us how games ... Read the rest of this Review

Duck Tales
Scrooge Mc Duck duck, probably the richest duck in the world is to navigate in the game boy title Duck Tales around the globe. The game has only the characters in common, however, with the eponymous cartoon, as otherwise the "action" is interchangeable with any good platformer.

Scrooge Mc Duck needs to visit various levels which can be taken in any order. The level names feature the promising titles of Transylvania, the Moon as well as offering the opportunity to visit places such as the Amazon and the Himalayas. The levels are lush and detailed, featuring alternative routes, hidden corridors and secret treasures. The areas are populated by different opponents, but this should offer no challenge to a good game player. On your journey you can encounter, hockey players, mountain hillbillies and aliens come and meet you. Of course such a varied and weird selection of ‘enemies’ is indicative of so many games ported to home entertainment systems and hand-held consoles. How many times for example have we encountered flying toasters and giant spiders, AVGN fans will know exactly what I am talking about.

Game players are rewarded by collecting the many scattered gems, cakes and extra lives and can find caves and passages as they explore the many varied and fun levels. At the end of each world, needless to say there is in waiting a boss that needs to be defeated and when dispatched makes a special death relic. After you defeat every level, there is the final fight against Count Dracula, which can confuse the player completely and completely destroys any hope of a meaningful story line.

Your trip around the world still enables players to experience some resemblance of the original cartoon however, in that you encounter your great-nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie, you meet the nanny, her niece Nicky and other characters. Frieda gives you cakes for the energy budget, quack flies you in the area and gives you tips.

Kirby's Adventure

Kirby's Adventure
With Kirby Nintendo finds another ‘star’ to compete, quite literally, with Mario, only this star in the sky was created to also jump 'n' run in a fun responsive platformer, with his childish appearance appealing perhaps to a younger generation of players. Because Kirby is a ... pink, egg-shaped and very greedy little thing indeed, he cab only really be described as sweet and cute.

The original game idea is simply brilliant. In a true-Jump 'n' run you can stroll down with Kirby to rid the land of dreams of an evil visitation. Eight worlds to be addressed here, which in turn are further divided into several levels and bonus levels. Enemies are of course also present in each world. Kirby can jump side to turn into a flying air balloon and fly away so all sorts of obstacles and chasms. Therefore, the difficulty of Kirby's Adventure has fallen quite low. All Jump 'n' run difficult passages can be passed over in this capacity. And since Kirby tolerate five hits before he loses a life, and you very often new food to refresh the energy place, it is very difficult to die. Only the bosses make you lose health the first time and appoint you some losses. There are many bonus games, hidden extras and the ability to win on each level, jumping on the trampoline one lives, providing an inexhaustible supply of life. Another feature of Kirby is the ability to absorb his opponents. It makes Kirby's mouth wide and swallowed then the target object. This can then be eaten or spit on other opponents. Kirby himself opts for the latter, he will accept, if any, the special property of the enemy. This ability can not only make Kirby countless new things, but gives the game something special. Given the fact that many bonus levels need to be found and released, what one most often needs a particular property, eaten, the level design is very diverse. Thus, for example, Kirby can transform into a stone to flick any switches, breathe fire to ignite bombs, as a tire reach e... Read the rest of this Review
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Zombies Ate My Neighbors
This game got a bit of exposure when it was released, but many younger gamers might not be aware of it. It also showed up on the Sega Genesis, but the SNES port is regarded as the better version. Has a great soundtrack and really cool b-movie/horror vibe and recognizable movie villains. ”Zombies” also serves as some of the best co-op on SNES.

Your goal in Zombies Ate My Neighbors is simple: you have to locate and rescue ten of your neighbors before the zombies and other ghouls get their hands on them. Along the way, you’ll be chased by everything from tiny axe murderers to chainsaw-wielding madmen. Under normal circumstances this might seem impossible, but you have the unique distinction of being armed to the teeth, which will make it at least a little easier to accomplish your task. Your main weapon is a water pistol filled with holy water that can take down most of the weaker enemies, but you’re going to need the big guns to take down the stronger monsters. You’ll find dynamite, a bazooka, not to mention a potion that can turn you into a huge scary monster, to aid you on your quest. Once you’ve managed to rescue all of the neighbors, a door will open up that will warp you to the next area where you must start the entire process all over again.

The control in the game is rock solid and the large selection of different weapons gives the game plenty of variety. The levels start out fairly easy, but they’ll soon become much more complicated and finding the neighbors will become increasingly troublesome, not to mention the fact that the monsters become more aggressive. You’ll really have your work cut out for you in the later levels of the game when the action gets insanely intense. The good news is the game’s responsive play controls give you every chance you’ll need to be successful, although you’ll have to supply the skills of course.
ActRaiser

ActRaiser
In this amazing game for the SNES, you get the chance to be a God and have boundless power, who has not ever dreamt of this, not even contemplated it once? In the first God game "Populous" many players did get the chance to already meet this dream.

But what if you like action games? Quite simply then, you must gain access to "Act Raiser" as soon as possible, because this Super Nintendo game from development studios Quintet combines skillfully action-packed stages with the most important aspects of a God game.

As a God who is simply called in the game: "The master", you must bring the world deposed from his eternal antagonist Tanzra from chaos to order again. The Tanzras six are demons who have the world divided amongst themselves, while "The master" of the last battle against him is sealed in it’s cloud Palace in the century long batttle who was heavily wounded. Without his parishioners strongly weakened, he faces the seemingly insurmountable task now.

This inspired the stone statue of warrior with his presence and fighting evil with the sword in the form of an action-packed platform game. The first section of game looks surprisingly good today and makes it fun even if it is not easy due to the relatively short energy bar. You can run and jump across platforms of a picturesque woodland, this idyll is only disturbed by the presence of evil monsters. They only leave the area when the boss has been defeated at the end of the level. When this is done, the good and faithful people of the region can settle down and are now dependent on the assistance and protection of the "master".

As a God he has a tremendous responsibility placed on him and highlighted in the following simulation section, which brings his responsibilities clearly to the fore.

The simulation mode, shown from the air, may be useful graphically in terms of functionality, but must be credited with its but with totally uncomplicated handling.... Read the rest of this Review
Kujaku Ou 2 - Geneijou
02-20-12 05:07 PM
Kujaku Ou 2
Kujakuou 2 is a platform game based on an anime released in Europe as Mystic Defender. The only difference between the Japanese and the European version is in the representation of the main character. In the Japanese version is Kujaku and is in a traditional Japanese style on the road, in the European version, however, our ‘normally’ dressed hero is Joe Yamato. Thus the reference to the anime Kujaku in Europe was neutralized. In both cases, our hero, a veteran with magical powers, on the way to the Azuchi Castle makes to the stolen Ashura (Japan) or Alexandra (eur.) from the clutches of evil to free. Their souls to be sacrificed for the purpose of the revival of an evil God. And we must not allow it yet, or?......

As mentioned at the beginning of this review, this is a typical platform game. You run and jump from one platform to the next and eliminate all obstacles along the way using the characters magical abilities. The enemies are plentiful, these include many ugly figures, like some bosses, that stand out, as opposed to their original appearance, by their size. Kujakus magical abilities include three always interchangeable standard attacks such as frontal shot, multi blast shot and a flame Jet. To use it effectively you must charge your weapon, but it takes some time. This time must be bridged only by standing because when running or jumping Kujaku cannot ‘focus’ sufficiently to summon his powers. Fortunately there are things he can collect in the form of some tools that make life much easier for Kujaku: Blue balls to populate energy, red balls to reduce the charge time and smart bombs. The latter are very rare and often hidden.

Seen from the technical side, the game - for the vintage – represents the best you can get from the technology freely available in 1989 at the time. The beautiful background graphics that partially recall and work together to create a very creepy old Japan. The exact control and th... Read the rest of this Review

Mean Bean Machine
This item is a home version of the arcade machine Puyo Puyo, which was conceived by Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) for their own home console. The game idea was acquired completely, and even the graphic design remains the same. It was packed in a nice story about the vile Dr. Robotnik (the villain from Sonic the Hedgehog).

The home planet of Dr. Robotnik, planet Mobius is the setting of the gaming scene. The spiritual Dr. Robotnik has once again made a new invention. With this invention, the bean transformer which is able to transform the funny and lively beans from Beanville mini robot, he hopes to banish the fun and the music of his planet. For this reason, he sends out his robot to catch the beans and cram in a container. At this point the player is now, which has the honourable task to save the beans by it helps them to escape from the tanks. It achieved only when it brings together four beans of the same color. Then can they out locks are namely mysteriously from the tanks. Playfully, it looks like this, that the beans from the top down in groups of three in different colour combinations in your collection containers which occupies half of the pitch, fall off and any shot. You should be always working in one fell swoop now so many beans as possible, because this one injects the opponent who plays in the other tanks at once many black beans. These can then easily be taken and you leak more opponents of these, the own odds are higher. It is too slow so you have to fight soon with umpteen black beans because the opponent leaves nothing untried fill you with black beans. Should the containers are then filled to the brim, you lost the game.

To overcome this not at all easy, you need a rapid response, forward thinking, and you should be able to understand the entire playing field. Stamina it should not lack but also the players, because the individual levels can drag immensely in the length. Only if you have these skills, you will succeed also all ... H.E.R.O.

H.E.R.O.
With the game H.E.R.O. from Activision I again wander along the paths of my childhood when the computer age was still so young and you took note of every small progress with glowing eyes.

At that time, so many years ago, it was Atari who often came up with new surprises that very often the amazed me. One such example being H.E.R.O, with at that time extremely delicate and attractive graphics, which were instantly enchanting.

Among the many other clunky games H.E.R.O stood out ahead of all the rest and even today when I play it I am speechless about the craftsmanship of this game. H.E.R.O is a piece of video game history, and this is not only one on the Atari that is so, although a version of the game on the Commodore is more common the Atari one is amazing to play.

The four letters of the game H.E.R.O stand for: "Helicopter Emergency Rescue
Operation". They also stand for the ‘hero’ played the game whose name is actually Roderick. With his Special helicopter like backpack propeller, he was intended to help lost miners in Mount Leone.

The risky rescue operation takes our hero Roderick armed with a Laser beam and six dynamite rods per game section to attack obstacles in his way. As a player you fly Roderick through countless bays and try to rescue a miner at the end of each game section. At the beginning, this task is really quite easy to master. With the increasing complexity of the game, one becomes increasingly aware of the burden of obeying the law of gravity, where without thrust the character is taken independently towards the floor. This will kill you instantly, especially to hit the ground or the walls coated with a deadly red substance. With limited energy reserves in mind, which are shown in a bar, and with every movement of the propeller and enabling the Laser beams consuming it you quickly start to feel the pressure and start to sweat. The pressure increases even more if you run out of dyna... Read the rest of this Review

Zillion
The science fiction game "Zillion" is among the veterans on Sega's master system and should be a name familiar even with casual gamers of the 8-bit world. With an agent scenario anime style it reminds some of the popular Japanese character animated series as "Captain future" or "Saber Raider". This is not a coincidence, because the game was released along with an eponymous cartoon from Tatsunoko involving three mysterious zillion pistols, which ensure law and order in the Galaxy in the hands of three brave warrior. Although quite successful in Japan the series has never managed to crack Europe, although the game to achieve good successes with us.

As Special Agent JJ and one of the three zillion carriers need to infiltrate a hostile Norsa base on the planet X find five disks recorded with secret documents and finally hunt all complex in the air. By the way one may look for Apple and Champ after his lost comrades, captured in their operations. There is also plenty to do.

At the beginning of the mission you get handed out ten four-digit codes, to penetrate the technical enemy facilities. With the zillion pistol firmly in your hand your leave the mother ship and enter its clandestine labyrinthine base via an elevator located deep inside the planet. Once inside, you must get first an ID card, to obtain access to the ubiquitous terminals. It is in one of the numerous containers are seen in every room. The game is to explore these containers. This reveals four key codes in almost all rooms which must be remembered well as you will need to enter them using your ID card in the machine. The order doesn't matter. In this way to open locked doors and enabled lifts and exposes additional areas based. The whole undertaking is complicated by roaming soldiers, automatic rifles, laser barriers and alarm-triggering, invisible without infrared goggles devices. The often annoying and inconvenient installed facilities can be temporarily switched off using the cod... Read the rest of this Review

Wonderboy
Tom Tom is our little barbaric looking Hero who keeps us company on this all-important jump ´ n ´ run from SEGA presented by Activision on the C64. Tom Tom takes us on a perilous journey which is marks the liberation of his maid from the clutches of evil.

With beautifully colored and slightly childish graphics, wonder boy is a game for every age group. It is initially very easily and is in itself very harmless. Tom Tom jumps over precipices and stones and fights all possible vermin facing him in the way with his stone mallets (which must first be collected). However, the arduous journey eating away at his power that is displayed in form of a constantly disappearing bar. You should therefore take diligently the often emerging fruits, which give you energy, because only by doing so do you have a chance to succeed. A skateboard to accelerate and some small Angels make our hero Tom Tom invulnerable for some time to provide for additional help and too make things easier on the fourth round of the first area when fighting the evil monsters or face defeat. Unfortunately this monster flees with his prey, and it is again necessary to track him down to defeat him by visiting eight other areas with four rounds, making a total of 36 rounds which must be handled, to get his lover back in his arms.

From the second area onward you have to contend with mobile platforms, common enemies that often appear, make wonder boy an extremely difficult game. If I said this game appeared harmless at the begging, forget it, what promotes itself to be an innocent game becomes a blood thirsty quest to reunite oneself with ones maiden. The loss of the hammer, when one dies, is particularly painful, because without it some enemies are absolutely unfair to beat. Even the smallest touch with an opponent causes immediate death to occur, and you must try your luck once again from the last reset point that there are always four per ‘hole’. The somewhat slow con... Read the rest of this Review
Cyborg 009

Cyborg 009
The manga created by Shotaro Ishinomori "Cyborg 009" is hardly known to us which is therefore not surprising because there is still no American translation of this classic. Although there is an English-language, published by TOKYOPOP publication, this is what certainly can be justified with bad sales figures (knowing that now by many American comic publishers) but with only ten anthologies incomplete. After all, the Japanese animation "Space station cyborg 009" was broadcast on American television. This and the direct and more independent film titled "Hazardous countdown for cyborg 009" have been published about CTI on DVD. Unfortunately as low-cost production contains incorrect information on the back of the cover, but due to the successful synchronization you can ignore it. In addition to this split only with us film from the year 1980, which in the original "Cyborg 009 - Legend of the Super Galaxy" means there are two older films from the years of 1966 and 1967 ("Cyborg 009" and "Cyborg 009 - Monster Wars") older half-hour and two newer, comprehensive 50 and 51 parts TV series and two video games, one for Sega's Mega CD-system and the other for the Super Nintendo. From the year 1993, Mega CD game that I was once given, is has long been in my closet around and now that it has carried enough dust finally here at the debate. Because this is a game released exclusively in Japan, I can play in Japanese and with many anime sequences told story which estimated a fifty percent share of the entire game scope, not in every detail. Because the pictures speak for themselves but, one can imagine alone around the rough story arc. And although I still do not have read the English manga translation, so I can say with my elsewhere acquired knowledge, that the plot of the game depends on the primary narrative of the manga. This game has to do therefore not anything with the film known with us and the fight against the aliens Zoa. Below I will try now the, briefly play the story of... Read the rest of this Review
Alex Kidd in Miracle World

Alex Kidd in Miracle World
Alex Kidd was a flagship mascot for Sega during the glory days of the Master System, the world was his oyster. Then, along came Sonic who grabbed the media attention Alex Kidd was left by the wayside .

Very few games had me pulling my hair out as much as his particularly colourful romps – the very worst culprit, of my hair pulling, being the Miracle World instalment. Equipped with fists of steel and ears of Spock, Alex must toddle along (or swim in some segments) sixteen levels of platform style tomfoolery – deciphering puzzles, smashing through walls and destroying weird-looking folk along the way. Ah, yes, it’s a traditional fare platformer alright, but Sega know the genre like the back of its hand and a super little game hides underneath it all.

Boss battles are won not by judgement, skill and finely-tuned reflexes, but by sheer luck via the form of a rock/paper/scissors game. Win two out of the three contests and it’s a victorious move onto the next stage, lose and you’re shoved back to the start of the level. Now call me a nit-picker, but isn’t that a little unfair? But, despite this, you keep on coming back for more due to the irresistible charm of it all. Alex may be wearing those dungarees and annoy you with his dinner eating after each successful level (eating rice with chopsticks) but he’s running around a little Miracle World that’s so adorable you can’t help but have another go. And another. And another!

If you have not played this game on the original system, now is a great time to do so.
