Spiderman - 2.0 10-23-16 06:26 PM	Disney infinity 2.0 Spider-man figure Review In 2014, the toys-to-life game Disney Infinity released it's second edition, 2.0. This version added Marvel comics, which Disney owns, to it's banner. With this came a variety of playable Marvel Figures and playsets, which of course came to include Marvel's flagship superhero: Spider-man! GRAPHICS: [img]http://www.vizzed.com/videogames/screenshots/5/53384/98264/Spiderman%20%2020_Disney%20infinity%20Spidey1477259883.png[/img] The figure itself looks really good. It's based off of the recent "ultimate spider-man" cartoon iteration, which i admit Spidey looks pretty cool in. The figure has Spider-man doing a crouching pose on a small, black, rock-like base. In-game and in-movement, he looks even better, as his variety of Combat skills are all a joy to see, and his mask even emotes while he attacks. SOUND: Sadly, also like in Ultimate Spider-man, here, he's voiced by Drake Bell... To be fair, he does a pretty decent job as Spider-man, though there are other voice actors who would be preferable to him. He does do a lot of cheesy lines during and after combat, though. ADDICTIVENESS: Here, we finally come to his gameplay! Gameplay-wise, he's really fun to play as. His basic combination attacks are full of stylish, acrobatic attacks which, like i said in graphics, are just fun to watch. He can also shoot a singular web-shot, which does a small amount of damage, and is handy from range. Last but not least, he can of course web swing! Anyone who's played a Spider-man game, like the classic spider-man 2 on ps2, knows how fun just freely swinging around can be, and here it's no different! I would almost suggest getting him and putting him on the base for a few minutes just so you can experience that, if you haven't before. STORY: Well... he's a figure. Spider-man himself doesn't HAVE a story, although he does come with a unique playset that DOES have a story, although i have yet to play it. I'll make ... Read the rest of this Review
Crash of the Titans 09-01-13 09:07 PM	How the mighty can fall... Ok, so, once upon a time, crash bandicoot was sony's mascot.. he was a big star, and so, he got many sequels.. eventually, his company, naughty dog, left him.. and here we are where activision owns him, with crash of the titans.. now, i have this game physically, and i was excited about it. but i beat it within a couple hours.. now, onto the review. The story is Dr. Neo cortex, crash's nemesis, plus a gathering of his other deadliest enemies, including dingodile, tiny tiger, N.gin, and cortex's niece Nina, lead by Uka Uka, team up and kidnap crunch and coco bandicoot plus aku aku, hoping to make coco build a giant robot, and bait crash to his ultimate doom. not a bad plot,but not great either. 6/10. Now, gameplay... the gameplay is so different from the classic crash games... Crash fights with hand-to-hand combat skills instead of spins, and "jacking" enemies to gain their powers.. this is how you spend most of the game, because you oftentimes find obstacles only these enemies, called titans, can break. in fact, only sometimes does it come up where you NEED to get off of enemies so crash can climb vines or get to platforms that only he can get to with his smaller weight and size. 6/10. ok, depth... There are these tiki masks you can collect, which unlock battle arenas, and to get to different islands, you do these surfing minigames, which i guess you get a bonus if you smash all the crates, i never could.. as i said, i beat it in a flash, so depth 4/10. And difficulty.. You can beat most fights by mashing the attack button, and it's made even EASIER by the fact that by getting "mojo", you can upgrade crash's abilites, plus with "stealth crates" you can sneak past enemies, avoiding fights ENTIRELY! 4/10, only because in 1 part it's easy to get lost, and if you're not careful, enemies can trap you and spam you with attacks. The graphics aren't that bad, the enviornments are nice, and sprites are good except crash's own. He just looks stupid, with that dumb loo... Read the rest of this Review
Kingdom Hearts - Chain of Memories 02-16-11 06:03 PM	I'm gonna try again... Ahem, sorry for my past rant on this game... Okay, so. Chain of memories is the second released game in the awesome kingdom hearts series, for the GBA. Well, in it, series hero Sora, along with Donald Duck and goofy, get to this castle, castle oblivion. In this castle, they must fight and travel using cards... But, as they get higher in, they slowly lose their memories!! Ok, gameplay: You must use cards to fight enemies, and you need to fight heartless to get cards which let you open doors to progress in the worlds of the cards, so I give square an A for uniqueness here. Graphics: This game looks GORGEOUS!! In my opinion, it does'nt really get rivaled by any GBA games, except final fantasy 6 and shaman king master of spirits 2. The sprites are just amazing, so 10/10. Sound: The soundtrack ROCKS!!! It uses different music for all the worlds, and the in-battle voices don't suck either, so again, it's only competition in this department as far as GBA goes are by FF6 and master of spirits 2. Depth: It's takes awhile to beat, but really does'nt have anything off the beaten path you can do, so let's give it a 7/10 here. Difficulty: Oh, boy.... this game is HARD, I tell ya! It's card system takes some getting used to, and even after that, there's the problem of 1 reccuring boss: The Riku replica! This guy's a monster in battle, and he will KILL you if you're not prepared!! I give you 2 words of advice: level up!!! 9/10. You CAN beat it, but it takes some time... To wrap it up, I'd say it's addictive somewhat. It's fun, but it frustrated me ALOT! So, 7/10 for me. Overall, i'd give it a 7.6/10, because it was square's first time with the card battle mechanic, so it was'nt perfectly polished. I say give it a try, because if you like kingdom hearts AND card games, there could be alot to like here, but i'm not the biggest fan of the latter, so I don't ADORE it...
Shaman King - Master of Spirits 2 10-30-10 03:51 PM	Shaman king MOS2 Is the best! Now, some of you have played shaman king master of spirits for GBA, right? Well, I have It, and It's hard, yet fun, like Castlevania, the series that was ALSO Created by Konami, and this game and It's predecessor seem to take some gameplay elements from It. But, for those of you that don't know, These games are based off of the popular shaman king Anime and Manga, but with thier own story. originally armed with only a wooden sword and his best friend/guardian ghost, samurai Amidamaru, As the game proggresses, you can collect new spirit powers to help you acsess new areas, and sometimes new weapons and armor to help stave off the game's Increasingly difficult challenges. NEW Features Include Boss health bars, so you won't just be thinking "OH MY GOD WHEN'S THIS FIGHT GONNA END????!", Upgradable spirit powers to get to even NEWER areas, Books that unlock new attacks, and If you go back to Anna Kyomanka, the demanding "Fiancee" of Yoh Asukura, you can Rematch past bosses In time attacks where you try to beat them as fast as you can to get collectible cards. The graphics are AMAZING and only rivaled on the GBA by Kingdom hearts chain of memories. The story Is good, and you should'nt even have to Play the first one to know what's going o, although you MIGHT want to play It to get a hang of the gameplay. The sound and music are great, Again only rivaled on the GBA by kingdom hearts chain of memories. The game's addictive, and some of you may even want to play It again, while some of you definitely may NOT, at least give shaman king master of spirits 2 ONE chance. Trust me, It'll be worth your time.
