Castlevania AOS - Future Alucard Hack The wolf soul is a little glitched, it sometimes does a run animation but sometimes it just glides across the ground.
Castlevania AOS - Future Alucard Hack Now this is how you do a ROM hack.
Castlevania AOS - Genya Arikado Hack Not the best ROM Hack I've seen, only sprite changes with no actual change to the plot, dialog, or even your characters icon. It's not bad, the graphics changes that were made work rather well, but it could be a lot better.
Mega Man Battle Network 6 - DarkCross SF Mega no, if this is anything like Basscross then there's far more chips, modified crosses, and new bosses. If you play a few fights, you'll notice that you can rapidfire, and you have different chips. You're wide sword shoots a sword beam. Things like this.
Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon Thanks Nintendo for leaving this game untouched.
Super Mario - Missing Memories (Demo) Interesting but without any levels is kind of pointless for a demo. The thing that would set this game apart from the original and other rom-hacks is the level design which wasn't really showcased. That said I look forward to when the game is finished.

Touhou Puppet Play (1.8 Enhanced v1.11)

The Perfect Crossover
There are a lot of crossovers out there. Some of them really make sense like Mario and Sonic. Some of them on the other hand make no sense like Scooby-Doo meets the Harlem Globetrotters. However there are crossovers that are just so perfect together that you almost think they were made for each other. This is one of them. The Pokemon Franchise is about a world of monsters (Many based of mythological creatures) that you can catch and fight other people with. The Touhou Franchise is about a world where mythological creatures gather and the shenanigans that happen. The combination of the Pokemon game engine with the characters of the Touhou Universe works surprisingly well.

Graphics (10): I rate Rom-Hacks based off what they do different from the original game. For Pokemon games that usually means how do the Fakemon look. I rate it on how they look, how well they maintain a consistent style, and how well they portray the character they represent. This game actually has nothing but Fakemon, all the Pokemon got replaced with various Touhou Characters. Not only can you identify every character based off their sprite. All the sprites not only good quality, but they maintain a similar feel. There are various versions of most of the characters, Child, Adult, Alternate, and a few Special. The Child sprites are all adorable, the Adult are all mature, the Alternate portray their unique function, and the Special are definitely unique. Aside from some minor graphic errors there is no real problems with it. Considering how much sprite work went into this and how well it worked, I think it deserves a 10.

Sound (10): Tounou Music being anything but awesome should be a crime. This game has all the soundtracks replaced with the classic Touhou tracks. Now having Touhou music with a Game-Boy sound capacity is tricky, however it manages to do a very good job without any real compression issues. All your favorite tracks... Unlikely Combination
People have been making crossovers for years, from Jetsons meet Flintstones to Alien Vs Predator.  And as much as movie and gaming companies make crossovers, they're dwarfed by the shear amount fans make.  Things like:  Super Mario Bro's Z or MLP meets, and the hundreds of pictures you find on Deviant Art just scratches the surface.  It makes sense, crossovers are a way you can combine things you like.  A crossover goes beyond a reference, having two different things put together into one piece of work.  However this can be difficult to do properly, especially when the two subjects are radically different.  A great crossover combines the two while maintaining the essence of both the originals.  An OK crossover has little to no essence of one side.  A bad crossover loses the essence of both the original pieces in the processes.  An example of this for me is Pokémon Harvest Craft.  The bigger the work the harder it is to get a good crossover, a picture is fairly easy, a video is harder, and a game is the hardest.  So a Touhou and Mario crossover is quite the challenge.     Touhou is a Bullet Hell series known for it's insane difficulty and awesome music.  Mario is a platforming series known for it's simple game-play and cool power-ups.  While Mario can be challenging, like in the Lost Levels or Mario Maker, it is for the most part rather easy.  These games have very little in common game-play wise and so trying to combine these two may seem like lunacy, but the greater the challenge, the greater the reword.      Graphics (8):  Considering when I first saw this game I through it was just going to be a texture hack, I was still surprised by how good the graphics look.  The levels look very well made, the textures they used work well with the level themes.  The enemy sprites look really neat; from the m... Persona

And so it begins
The first game of a series usually has a special place in our hearts, from Super Mario Bros, the original genesis Sonic, Final Fantasy 1, and other such games may be outdone by latter games in the series, but we love the original for what it brought to the table.  But this does not seem to be the case for Persona.  You've probably heard about the Persona series, it's got about 5 games and a ton of spin offs.  It's a popular RPG game series with most of the attention put on 3, 4, and 5.  However, with all the attention these games get you never really hear anything about the original.  So today we will be looking at the one that started it all.  But before I start I'll tell you what I know about the series:  Nothing.  I've never played a Persona game in my life, and have never even seen anything from a Persona game, so I'm going into this as a blank slate.  I will be talking about this game as a stand alone and will not compare it to any of the future games.

Graphics (8):  This game has very nice graphics, from the detailed sprite work in battles to the creative appearance to the dungeons.  The enemies and persona's have interesting designs to them.  Instead of just having a single enemy sprite that doesn't move, or having a sprite with minor animation, this game has very lively enemies.  Not only that, but the enemies and personas have unique animations for many of their skills, that's something you never really see in Turn Based RPG's.  The dungeon design is interesting, each level has a radically different look to it.  There's also a strange guy who keeps showing up through the game and tells you what's going on.  They animate his cutscenes in 3d but they always look a bit weird and unnatural, but like the happy mask salesman from Majora's Mask I'm not sure whether or not it's intentional.  The thing that's holding me back... Tail Concerto

A Policeman's Tail
Ever wonder how someone came up with the idea for something.  Take Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for example, when you hear the title you're just left wondering how the heck did anyone come up with that.  This game is about an anthropomorphic police dog who goes around in a mech that can grab things and shoot bubbles.  How the heck did anyone come up with that.  Also who came up with the title for this game?  I mean why Tail Concerto?  This game has nothing to do with music.  I mean you could have called it A policeman's Tail or Legend of the Iron Giant or Dog days and it would make more sense.  Questions aside this is a pretty fun game.  I found it while browsing through games made by Atlus and it looked interesting.  I heard it was short so figured it was worth a quick playthrough.  And I'm glad I did.

Graphics (9):  This game looks very nice, especially the cut scenes.  Now by nice I don't mean that it looks incredibly detailed and hyper realistic buy rather it has a more cartoonish style.  While there are games I can say look better objectively I just really liked the graphics and they complimented the more comical and comedic style better than a more realistic one.  I also thought the character designs looked nice.  The cutscenes are done in 2d animation rather than 3d and I think these cut scenes were the best part of the graphics.  There were a few minor graphical errors that kept this from being a 10.

Sound (7):  The music to this game was pretty good, I mean I didn't hear anything that really got stuck in my head but at the same time I didn't dislike any of the music.  The voice acting was pretty good as well, matching the characters well.  The only character who's voice I didn't like was the main character himself sadly.  I didn't hate his voice it's not irritati... Sonic ERaZor (v6.0)

Creative but Not Sonic
This is a hard game to talk about.  On one hand it's a creative and fun hack of a beloved game.  And on the other hand it's extremely irritating and goes against what makes sonic games sonic.  Before I talk about the game I should talk about what makes sonic games Sonic.  Sonic has always been the anti Mario.  He's fast, he's cool, he doesn't save princesses.  His music is always awesome except for 2 games, which is rather amazing when you think about it.  From the classic genesis era tunes, to Crush 40's great songs in the adventure games, to orchestral modern Sonic games.  Sonic has had some rough points, particularly right before the transition to 3d and the infamous 06 disaster.  But it's a testament to the games that Sonic has survived as long as he did.  Some people may say that Sonic has never been good but the fact that to this day he's still around disproves that.  Sonic is a fast paced platforming game with awesome music.  This game is not sonic.  Allow me to explain.

Graphics (8):  The graphics look really good, blending well together so it looks just like normal sonic.  They put the spin-dash and super peel out abilities in here so that's rather impressive.  The only thing that doesn't really look good are explosions.  There's really not much else to talk about here, the graphics look nice.  Moving on.

Music (9):  Like regular Sonic, the music is really catch.  How catchy?  catchy enough that I actually played the game with the sound on.  This says a lot about the music as I usually just mute it and play something else.  You might get a little tired of the music after a few minutes of hearing it (and yes, that will happen) and this is the only thing holding it back from a 10.

Addictiveness (3):  And here's... Read the rest of this Review
