Madden NFL 99 great game, really enjoyed the improvements made over the years
Pokemon Mega Evo Red & Green Exp*
Pokemon Mega Evo Red & Green Xxp rate is pretty fast. Nice if you just want to breeze through, but challenges are always nice to have too!
Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon Under rated, like every one is saying! It sure is! Play it!
Tecmo Super Bowl 2014 (tecmobowl.org hack) That was the second game. Bob was lagging me. Does it really matter to you?
Road Rash 64 never mind, got it.
Pokemon Cyan (beta 2) Looks interesting. Decision based story line...gonna keep ya playing over and over to see the different outcomes, if the decisions actually make a huge impact.
Pokemon Resolute (v1.07) Mega Evolutions! Awesome sauce!
Pokemon Light Version (beta 1.01) Sounds like a game I could really get into. Literally.

Jazz Jackrabbit
12-24-13 05:42 PM
Jazzy Jackrabbit
What a name. I wish my first name was Jazz.
"Hey, look over there, it's Jazz! His green skin is blinding! I love it!" *Insert insane fan girl screams*
Anyways, Chameleons must have thought Jazz was so handsome, his green skin rivaling their own skin color, that they thought of him as a delicious treat. Who wouldn't? If I ever met someone so beautiful as Jazz, the first thing that would come to my mind is "food". Seems reasonable. The love of your life, in your stomach.

----------------------
Graphics: 8/10
----------------------
The graphics seem to be on the edge of 2D and 3D, more specifically, 2.5D. I haven't played many 2.5D games, but the ones I do are rather impressive. Jazz Jackrabbit doesn't really fall too much into that impressive category. In 2.5D games, along with the story and game play, it's fun to always point at what's actually 3D and what's 2D, like a 3D character on a 2D backround. They don't seem to blend too well together, like oil and water, but it's fun to just stare at the mechanics of the game.
Going back to the game, the graphics are pretty blurry. It's easy enough to distinguish what's what, but a little harder than a game with clean and crisp graphics.
Some positives are (inconsistent) attention to detail. The rocky platforms in the beginning are finely detailed, cracks and holes all over the place, as they usually would be. The stellar back round is also nice attention to detail, the shooting stars, the nebulae, etc. I feel this inconsistency helped give the graphics section a little more than what it originally deserved. Well done.

The sound track is intense to start. Well, you've just been captured by seemingly extra-terrestrial giant talking chameleons with poor grammar and low technological cages/prisons, but high tech weapons. What better music accompa... Read the rest of this Review

Not much...
I personally love to play chess. I was pretty excited to find this game, and I still play it quite frequently. This game won't teach you chess, so you better know how to play it before playing this game (obviously).

Graphics: 7/10

Graphics are okay...not the best however. Chess pieces are pretty easy to distinguish, but I had a little trouble remembering which piece is which because the graphics are blurry. I mostly confuse the King and the Queen, which look similar. Other than that, everything plays out smoothly. Once you distinguish each piece, game play goes by much better, and there is also the option of changing how the pieces and board look like as well, which is pretty nice. There may be a different look that possibly is kinder to your eyes, but each person has a personal preference.

Sound: 2/10

There is no music. The only sounds I hear are the SFX in the menu, and the little music after each move and opponent move. I am fine with no music, since it helps with concentration, but the SFX and music after each move really bother me. The game is quiet to begin with, but then you introduce these little unnecessary bits of music after each move? Did I mention loud too? It isn't a huge bother, but if you really are into your game, it'll annoy you a bit.

Addictiveness: 5/10

I say a five out of ten purely to state "in the middle". Chess is chess, this game doesn't change that. Chess may be addicting to some, not addicting to others. This grade mark is not negative or positive, and is rather a variation from player to player.

Story -/-

There is no story to chess.

Depth: 3/10

Considering this game is quite simple, not fine detail or anything, depth is not very high. There are some reasons to constitute to a three out of ten instead of a zero or one. The little pieces of music, even though it really wasn't the best of options to add, shows a little char... Read the rest of this Review

Intense
This was one of the few games I owned back when I had a PSP. Unfortunately, my PSP did break, and my few games have long since disappeared or have been collecting dust, which this one has. However, it was one of the few games that I had trouble with at times, but still loved it. It is pretty intense, especially towards the end, so caution is advised when playing.

Graphics: 9/10

Graphics are excellent. The sprites are indeed small; all of them are. This being said, the graphics may not be too specific. However, many times, the character art is portrayed in certain parts of a story, and there is easy clarification as to what is going on...each character has their own distinct dressing style, so there will never be any confusion among the characters. Graphics should not be an issue in the game, and being the fact that they are mini sort of fits in the game properly...it is a war-based game, with you commanding troops, and big over-bearing sprites may cause the player frustration and confusion. Small sprites allow for easy manipulation and strategy...ease of access really.

Sound: 8/10

The sound track in this game is VERY repetitive. For the most part, you will be hearing the same piece of music throughout a rather long game play...it may get annoying. However, one thing that is really great is that the music is playing softly in the back round...it does not become over-bearing to the player...it's almost like elevator music, but with much more urgency in it (it's a war game, so it will be dramatic and urgent). There will be a few instances where the sound track may change...usually when you are facing a boss or major rival in the story. That is usually to be expected in most, if not all games. These characters are important, and should not be treated as a regular enemy. One other thing that really pushes away the repetitiveness of the music is the action. The game is very intense, from start to end, and for the most part, ... Read the rest of this Review
Streets of Rage 2 - DC Comics Heroes Edition

outRAGEous
Streets of Rage 2 was recommended to me by GenesisJunkie, and I am truly grateful, since it's a really good game. I did try out the DC Comics Heroes Edition however, and this is what is going to be reviewed.

Graphics: 8/10

Concerning graphics, of course, this being an old game, it won't have the graphics we hold standard today. However, if we were to go back in time and play the game when it was popular, it certainly would have great graphics, since they haven't seen the graphics of today.
There are some things concerning graphics though. Sometimes the graphics may get a bit blurry and mess up the gamer here and there, but it really is no biggie at all. The game is easy to play, the graphics flow easily for the most part, and nothing gets messed up too badly. The sprites are not insanely detail, but they certainly are much more detailed than one would expect. Overall, graphics are not a concern for the player.

Sound: 10/10

The sound track for the game is really amazing. The music is extremely catchy, and I just love listening to it. I might even beat all the bad guys, then just stand there, listening to the sound track.
What's great is that the sound track is not monotone. After completing each scene, you will be granted a new really solid piece of music. It is not bland, but rather exciting and at times, pretty complex regarding the music. No simple notes, like in many 8bit games sometimes, but an array of colorful melodies. Sound is definitely not something to worry about when playing.

Addictiveness: 9/10

Addictiveness is pretty big in this game. For many beat-em up games, it gets a little addicting. You want to keep going, beating the various different enemies and bosses, while each level gets a little harder, testing your gaming skills. This game is no exception. You get the same feel...each level gets harder, and you really want to keep going, trying your best to rid the streets of all th... Read the rest of this Review
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
11-04-13 05:58 PM
Dope Fresh
For those who don't know about the Mario and Sonic Olympic pair-ups, basically both franchises team up for a fun Olympic-based game filled with events to compete in, using characters from the famous Mario franchise AND Sonic franchise as well. The first installment was Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, which was based off of the Summer Olympics in Beijing, in 2008. This game, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games is based off of the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver 2010, and so far is the only installment in this series based off of the Winter Olympics. The third installment is Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, which by the title, is based off of the Summer Olympic Games in London 2012.

Graphics: 10/10

A game fairly new and not too old, one would definitely hold high standards for excellent graphics, and this game most definitely fulfills that. Graphics are excellent, no blunders, mishaps, or any other errors. This is the age of gaming, so graphics are bound to be up to par and basically, near-perfect.
Each action the many characters used in the game flow very smoothly and easily, no lagging issues or anything of that sort.
There are some parts in Adventure Tours (which is basically the Story mode) that showcase the artwork of the character, rather than the 3D character itself. It is just professional artwork, so there is not much difference between the 3D and picture of the character, which shows consistency and a little diversity.

Sound: 10/10

Games these days, especially ones coming out from Sega and/or Nintendo, will no doubt have a wonderful game sound track. Take Super Mario Galaxy for example. The music is melodious and has a righteous and grand feeling to it. The same may be said here...maybe a little less righteous, but rather actually energetic, and simple but complex. There are certain events where a righteous sound track would not fit properly...take Luge for example... Read the rest of this Review

Pokemon Light Platinum Walkthrough
ZHERY

Introduction
As with any other Pokémon game, you are introduced to the world of Pokémon by a Professor. You choose the option to be a boy/girl, then choose your name. You will be unable to choose the names of your many rivals however.
To start the game, you are in a dream. You are standing amidst legendary Pokémon: Arceus is surrounded by Giratina, Dialga, and Palkia. They seem to be taking turns hitting Arceus. Eventually Arceus disappears and you wake up. Head down the stairs, but before you can, your mom will tell you to set your clock. Head out outside and you will be confronted by Kaori, the champion of the Zhery League. He asks you to come with him to Central City, flying on his Salamance.
When you reach Central City, Kaori leads you to Professor Jasmine and Ash Ketchum. There is a tablet in some sort of hole. Jasmine asks you to read translate since you know the ancient language called Alpha. After reading it, Jasmine wants to make sure no one (evil) can get their hands on it. Kaori summons Empoleon and fills the hole with water. Kaori and Ash will leave, when suddenly a Team Steam grunt attacks Jasmine. She asks you to pick a Pokémon from the bag:

Charmander [lvl 5]
-Scratch
-Growl

Squirtle [lvl 5]
-Tackle
-Tail Whip

Bulbasaur [lvl 5]
-Tackle
-Growl

Team Steam grunt:
>Poocheyena [lvl 2]

After the confrontation, Jasmine will allow you to keep the Pokémon you just fought with. Nickname him/her, and then she will take you back to her lab in Yellow Town. Jasmine wants you to talk to Professor Oak who is at Marfeny Lake, which is to the east of Central City. Talk to her for one last time, and she will give you some Pokeballs.

Freebies:
-Elekid at the top room of Lab (use stairs); if you say no, the pokeball containing Elekid will disappear.
-Thunderstone - talk to boy in the house on the South-West of town.
-Ma... Read the rest of this Guide
Pokemon Light Platinum

Choosing your starter
In Pokemon Light Platinum, you are given
starters from Gen 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. You can only pick one from each Professor,
so which one are you going to choose? This guide is here to help you see what’s
good, and maybe what’s bad about each starter.

[i]Professor Jasmine: During a short cut scene regarding the
mysterious language of Alpha, a Team Steam Grunt attacks the Professor!
Startled, she asks you to choose 3 starters from a bag, Charmander, Squirtle,
and Bulbasaur[/i]

Charmander: Most definitely an OU starter, this Pokemon
is one of the most popular choices. He is OU for a reason! Its physical and
special-attack move pool certainly compliments Charizard, making him
a strong threat. He will be able to OHKO many Pokemon, and take down Team Steam
w/out batting an eyelash. An excellent sweeper, you really won’t regret
choosing Charmander.
However, one thing to be wary about Charizard is its weakness
to Water, Rock, and Electric type moves, making it a bit less formidable.

Squirtle: Squirtle is not a popular choice, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t
a great Pokemon! He is in the UU tier however, since he goes up against
choosing Charmander who obviously turns into the great Charizard, so that isn’t
a surprise. Blastoise, the final evolution of Squirtle, is a bulky water type,
so he can make for a nice tanker since I wouldn’t necessarily use him much.
Water types do help quite a lot during the game, but there are better water
types to choose from (*ahem* Milotic, *cough cough* Swampert*). Choosing
Squirtle isn’t a bad choice however – Blastoise isn’t offensively strong, but
makes up for it with a nice defense. Teach him Toxic and Protect, and he can be
an ideal for switch-ins during the E4. Protect and @Leftovers can really wear
down an opponent. Surf is Blastoise’s best STAB attack, so if... Read the rest of this Guide
