Kickin Some Kick
Kick is an addictive one of a kind that used a roller (at the arcade) to control a clown on a unicycle. Alternately catch or pop balloons and other objects off of his hat, including a Pac Man bonus. But beware the bombs! This game is very hard and takes quite a while to get good at but the game play is very fast. The trick I learned after a thousand games was instead of just popping the balloons, keep them afloat until you are positioned for the next one to drop. This game plays like it was hungry for quarters, but on mame that problem is solved. The closest thing you could compare Kick to is classic Breakout, but Kick has a vibe original to itself that makes it an obscure great.

Evil Stone
I've seen one Evil Stone machine in my life at a pizza parlor over twenty years ago. Nobody else seemed to play it because it ate quarters too quickly, but I remember becoming pretty addicted to it before they shipped it out in favor of something more popular. It's one of those games that takes a few plays to grasp and a lot of tries to become good. Once you get the hang of it, though, you're bound to think it's an unknown classic. It's one of the weirder arcade games and has really unique game play that makes it memorable and worth including on any mame arcade.

Peter Pepper\'s Ice Cream Factory (Cassette, set 1) 01-03-13 10:19 PM

Burger Time at Peter Pepper's
Peter Pepper's Ice Cream Factory is an unknown gem of a game and cousin to the popular Burger Time. The games share the same chef character, named Peter here, and virtually the same game play. The only differences are burgers are replaced with ice cream and PPICF is much harder than BT, in fact, it takes a little practice to get past even the first level. I've been to many arcades but have never seen a PP machine in person and would guess there never were many made. A truly obscure and quirky game saved from the dust bin by mame.
