Kirby's (Awesome) Adventure
Kirby. Some say he's a gumball. Some, a pink marshmallow. Some, a pink blob thingy. Nonetheless, Kirby's debut game, Kirby's Adventure for the NES, is pretty great.
Graphics: Kirby's Adventure has great graphics compared to NES classics, like Super Mario Bros. The colors are vibrant, ranging from bright, warm colors, like a multitude of yellows and pinks, to dark, cool colors, like royal blue. There are few graphic glitches in the game, and the animations are very smooth.
Sound: Kirby's Adventure has addicting music compared to other NES games, like Friday the 13th. The music in Kirby's Adventure is so good, in fact, that other games, such as the Super Smash Bros. Series, have re-used it. There are virtually no sound glitches in the Kirby's Adventure, and the sounds don't interfere with other aspects of the game.
Addictiveness: Kirby's Adventure keeps you on the edge of your seat, with a wide variety of enemies, the ability to absorb enemies, and intense boss battles.
Depth: Kirby's Adventure spans over 8 worlds, most, if not all of them having 6 or 7 levels, along with a maximum of 2 mini-games per world. Once you beat the last boss, you're not completely done. You may be thinking, "Is this game kinda like The Legend of Zelda, where you have a second quest?" To that I say no. You can replay the mini-games on different difficulties, and there is a Vs. Boss mode, where you must beat all 8 bosses in a row with just one life. The game itself takes a while to beat, mainly because of it's difficulty.
Difficulty: This game is hard mostly because of the last boss. You have to beat the last boss in a certain amount of time, or the screen closes in on you and you lose. This makes it difficult (and irritating at times) to beat the game.
