Super Smash Bros. Brawl ibby716, the Video Game Room is used for information on all games, including newer games. And if you don't appreciate that, well, it's no different than bashing GameFAQS.

Legend of Zelda, The - Link\'s Awakening

Another Review from Retrokid12
Oh, this game. This amazing, awesome game. Y'know I got this game for Christmas along with a Gameboy Pocket when I was about 10. I have loved it since the moment it fell into my hands. You see, there aren't many REALLY good RPGs on the Gameboy out there(except for Pokemon). I had spent many days playing this game, and I had gotten everything. Every Heart Piece, item, upgrade, you name it. But anyway, I shall begin.

Graphics - 10
These are probably the very best graphics I have ever seen on a Gameboy. Everything was detailed, and pleasing to the eye.

Sound - 10
There is not one single song or sound that will make you say, "Ew!", or, "Ow! My ears!!". Every sound is good and they sound like something you would hear in real-life. The songs are extravagantly amazing, and you'll want to listen to them over and over again.

Addictiveness - 7
This game is one you'll get sucked into. But if you're a completionist like me, you probably won't play it again after a long, long time after you complete it.

Story - 9 *SPOILERS AHEAD*
Well, you have saved the land of Hyrule three times now, and you head off on a boat to an island to train more so you can defend Hyrule more efficiently. But during your journey there, you get trapped in a storm and struck by lightning! You wake up in a bed in a girl named Marin's house with her father, Tarin. Tarin gives you your shield, telling you that monsters have become very violent since you washed up on the beach. So you set off to go back to the beach, and you find your sword! And then a talking owl comes and tells you about something called a "Wind Fish" and to set off for the Mysterious Woods. So you head there to find a Tail Key. The owl comes back and talks about a shrine called Tail Cave. So you go in and defeat the monsters in there, and you find a musical instrument! You leave to find the owl talking about the instrument, and you need to find the others. So while you are getting the ins... Read the rest of this Review
Pokemon Red

A Retro Review from RetroKid - Pokemon Red
Pokémon Red. This game is what started all these crazy Pokémon shenanigans. We've got near $40 games, expensive dolls, almost as expensive spin-off games, this series costs a lot of money to have. Now, a lot of classic lovers(such as myself) use the term, "Oldie but a goody", but in this game's case, I disagree.

Graphics: 4
Okay, so this game had some graphical issues. I just can't get over some of those in-battle Pokémon sprites. I mean, the out-of-battle sprites are okay, but I still prefer plenty of others(like Kirby's Dreamland). Another thing that bothers me just a little bit is the fact that there are only three or four different menu Pokémon sprites, even on the field.

Sound: 8
Great music. It has some charming music, like when you enter Route 1 or Viridian City, but then there are creepy songs like in Lavender Town and in Lavender Tower. The game has great music that memorable and unforgettable. So it is going to be one of the only good ratings I'll give to this game.

Addictiveness: 3
This game is downright boring. Most Pokemon games are exciting, fun, and addicting, but this one is very boring. I've nothing more to say.

Story: 6
Blah. So You're a kid in a tiny, grassy town that has a Pokemon Professor living right next door(what are the odds?) that gives you your first ever Pokemon after attempting to go explore elsewhere besides your little, boring town. Meanwhile, an "evil" group called Team Rocket wants to steal all the Pokemon for money, but they are weak! Usually the strongest Pokemon you'll encounter with them is a Raticate! And, also, they can't just all the Pokemon overnight! Stuff like that could take YEARS, because there are millions of Pokemon, just like there are humans. What are these guys thinking??

Depth: 9
Okay, so there is SO much to do in this game. Play in the Safari Zone, hunt down variations of Missing No., complete the Pokedex,... Read the rest of this Review
Kirby's Dream Land
12-07-12 06:23 PM
A Retro Review from RetroKid
Kirby's Dreamland. Where this fun franchise by Hal Laboratory started. For some series, they don't make very good first impressions, but Hal made an excellent first impression with Kirby. Now that we've had a brief history lesson, let's get started!

Graphics: 9
Of course, graphics back in the '90s weren't the best to some people, but I for one love myself a good classic game with classic graphics.

Sound: 10
Just like I love classic graphics, I love classic ol' chiptune. Some songs are happy and upbeat, some are just relaxing, and some are exciting. Also, the sound effects are great and aren't painful to listen to. I could listen to this game all day!

Addictiveness: 8
This game truly is addicting. I've played through it about three times, and I'm still ready for more. You see, ggames like this want you to keep playing through to get the highest score possible.

Story: 7
Okay, so a certain selfish little penguin named King Dedede, steals all the food in a place called Dreamland. Of course, someones gotta stand up to him! Adorable little white(pink in later games) puffball hops, floats, and inhales his way to beat 4 bosses to get to that non-flying bird tyrant and teach him a lesson! So, not bad, original, but not the best story I've ever heard.

Depth: 4
The only low rating I'll ever give this game. The game is short. Only 5 levels, one of which just being a boss. There are a few powerups that you can inhale and spit out, and one you use to fight one of the bosses. The most side things you can do are optional doors you can go through for health, but that's about it.

Difficulty: 3
This game is pretty easy. I usually play through only dying once. But it is still very fun.

Final Verdict: 9
Savory Gameboy graphics, sweet sound that is easy on the ears, quite deliciously addictiveness, a tasty story, depth is a little bitter, and t... Read the rest of this Review
Punch-Out!!
11-11-12 09:54 PM
Punch-Out!!... On the Wii?!
When my brother runs down the stairs and tells me the good news that Punch-Out!! was on the Wii, there was only one single thing I could think of: "Punch-Out!!... On the Wii?! That's the best thing I've heard since the 3DS!". We got Punch-Out!! and Super Punch-Out!! on the Wii's Virtual Console, and personally, I thought the first one was better. But a few weeks later, My brother came back from Gamestop, Punch-Out!! in hand. I got very excited and when we popped it in our Wii, I fell in love it.
Graphics - 7
Well, there aren't too many games with this style of graphics, but it's still kinda nice. Not my favorite style, but they pulled it off well enough to where I still loved it.
Sound - 8
The sound was great. Just the day before I was hearing the chiptune Punch-Out!! themes. But then I hear all those songs remastered, I was stunned, I still love the oldies songs, though.
Addictiveness - 9
How much more addicting can punching people through tournaments be? There's about 13 fighter to beat up, so you won't be dissapointed. Y'know, there's technically around 26 fighters, cuz of Title Defense Mode. There's multiplayer, but I wasn't too impressed with that, but it's still okay.
Story - 6
A 17-year-old boxer, Little Mac, and Doc Louis, his trainer, want to tear through the ranks and be the best. A little bit cleche(or however that's spelled), but it's average.
Depth - 5
13 fighters, Title Defense Mode, Exhibition, and Head-to-Head Mode. Not too much, but it's fun.
Difficulty - 8
Tough game, especially Title Defense Mode, I'll give 'em that. Minor Circuit, easy. Major Circuit, a tad difficult, but still a little easy. And World Circuit, Pretty tough especially the last two(I won't spoil it for you). And Title Defense Mode? Don't even get me started.
Overall, the game is incredible. I'm still trying to tackle Bear Hugger in Title Defense(He's pretty hard). This has been a Retro Kid review. Signing off.

Legend of Starfy(I think) Review
Well, this is a review from retrokid12. This game is pretty OK, but the problem is that it is in Japanese, so that's why I gave the story a 1, because I can't understand it.

Graphics: The graphics are good, but they're not great. That's all I have to say. Gameplay: Good platformer, though there isn't enough "platformer" to it. Sound: It's DEFINITELY not the best I've heard. It just doesn't appeal to me. Story: In Japanese, so nothing to say. Depth: It's OK, has a pretty good amount of levels, like a platformer should. Difficulty: The game is just too easy. It's easy to tell that this was directed towards younger kids. Overall: An OK game, but I'm probably not going to end up finishing it.
