Banjo-Kazooie

A bear and a bird, is it a good mix?
Banjo Kazzoie is a game developed by Rare. It is the first game of the series and is where it started it all, but is this game really worth your time? and if so how well does the game actually present itself? This is my review.

Graphics-9
The game's Graphics are actually pretty good the game has nice view and a wide variety of scenery. The game is also very colorful throughout the game which brings the game to life. What also makes the graphics good is that the character design is very creative. Everything you see in the game is alive. In a way everything talks to you and has eyeballs which I think was really creative to be in a world where everything even objects have their own personality.

 Sound-10
This is where I think the game really put much emphasis in. The game has amazing music that fits into every world. I'm talking about tropical music when you in a beach, to bells ringing in a winter like world. Not only was the music great but the voice acting was good to, sure no character actually said a real word in that game but the mumbling that each character does gives better characterization. It makes the people think thats how the character would sound like if they spoke with real words. The sound effects are also really good to. When you collect an item the item makes a sound that is unforgettable. It is another element in the game that makes it more great. This is where I believe that the game had its strength.

 Addictiveness-9
This game is really fun it is an open world game which makes it unique. with all of its elements that are formed in this game gives it a really high replay value. Each world is very unique and is very fun to play and the games mechanics make it very fun as well. Even the final boss fight is fun it is original and requires all of your skills that you have learned in the game. After beating this game I would definitely replay this game because of how fun it is.

Super Mario Bros

The start of platformers
Super Mario Bros. was the start of all platformers and basically the start of Nintendo themselves. Is this first platformer worth playing? This is my review.

Graphics 9
The Graphics are for the time very good. Everything is shown in a pixel form and Nintendo was able to pull it off only using that. This should be credited since how hard it was to make a presentable character only using pixel like animation.

Sound 10
The sound is this game is perfect. The sound that Mario makes when he jumps is clearly heard from the player and makes his jump sound unique. The music is great. The fact that  the music loops after so many times and you still want to hear it means that this music is no joke. What makes it even better is that it is not easy adding sounds into a system that I believe contains 8 MB (correct me if I am wrong) and the fact that they made the  music still sound very good deserves a ten.

Addictiveness 10
This game is very addictive, the gameplay runs very smooth, and the platforming is great. There are certain abilities that you can gain in the game that gives your player an advantage against enemies making you enjoy the game even more. There is also a score count so you will constantly replay the game trying to out best your score each time making the game very addictive.

Story 8
Okay I know what your thinking how can a story that has been used in basically every Mario game get an eight? Well you have to look at the fact that this is the first Mario game meaning that this is the first time that they used the story of The princess being captured by the evil Bowser. It's simple but hey at least you know what your objective is. I mean do you like playing a game that you don't even know what the purpose is?

Depth 7
The game doesn't offer much it just offers the main game in two ways. You can play the game by yourself or if you have a buddy you can play two players taking turns after the o... Read the rest of this Review
Mega Man

The start of a hero
Mega Man has always been a great franchise for Nintendo but today we're going to look at where it all began. This is my review.

Graphics 8
The graphics are good they they make very good detail of Megaman and also the enemies are so creative! they look so hilarious and hard to take seriously. I'm talking about flying smiley heads, huge gorillas. etc. When you look at these enemies you feel like wow Nintendo really went creative with these enemies. I feel like that they can't be taken seriously as enemies but definitely comedic wise which is not a bad thing I mean don't you like to laugh in a video game? I know I do.

Sound 10
This game has amazing music. It has the catchiest themes, mostly all the themes are played in a major tone so you feel happy most of the time while playing. What makes the music better than other NES games is that the themes are backed up by background music which gives the music more epicness.

Addictivness 9
This game is super fun it give very good side scrolling gameplay and what makes it more fun is that you have a bunch of more gadgets that you can use to defeat your enemies with as you grow closer and closer to the final level. It gives the player choices on what bosses they would want to fight which is different from other games but also very good. What makes it good is that in other games that you play that you have already beaten you already what to expect. IN MegaMan you can choose what level you want to play which gives the gamer a choice and as we gamers we always like options in video games.

Story 8
The story is your typically evil man wants to take over the world kinda thing. It is basiccly A man named Dr. Wily who wants world domination and has created six robots to assist him in the plan. So a guy named Dr. Light created a Robot named MegaMan that will help stop Dr. Wily and his evil plans. The story is simple which is not a bad thing but some creativity would of been ... Castlevania Adventure

Fighting Dracula in 8 bit really worth your time?
Well if it isn't another castlevania game. After the first one and Simon's Quest you think this would be a decent game well your wrong. This is my review.

Graphics 3
The game lacks a lot on graphics everything looks so out of order. Christopher (The person you play as) doesn't look human but more like a robot and the background is usually blank most of the time. Yes it's a gameboy game but if you've ever played super Mario land 2 6 golden coins you could tell that konami could of worked harder on this.

Sound 8
The one thing we can look forward to is the music. As usual castlevania delivers good quality music that makes it fun when you are in battle.

Addictivness 2
I honestly never want to play this game again it is really boring there is nothing really fun about this game you are just basically side scrolling the entire time and when you are platforming it is so hard to jump to another platform. This should of been fixed. Besides that there is no interesting boss battles there is no interesting enemies to fight it is just a simple plain game with no creativity.

Story 4
Now most people say that there is no story in this game well I did my research on the internet and there is a story. It is about Dracula resurrecting  in the year 1576, 100 years after his defeat from Trevor Belmont from the game Vampire Killer  coming back to try to cover the world in darkness once again. Christopher Belmont now sets off to an adventure to try to slay Dracula and seal him for another 100 years. The story is a little more stable but I rate it low because it does not tell anything about the story in the game I had to look it up to find the story which is why I rated it low.

Depth 1
This game does not offer anything all it does is offer four levels that only take about 15 minutes to beat so you can beat the whole game in a hour so there is nothing you can do in this game. All ... Read the rest of this Review
Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time

Link takes on the 3d world
The legend of Zelda series has always stunned us with its amazing game play. When the Nintendo 64 came out Nintendo decided to take Link into the 3D world and see what would happen, and what I can say is that they did a darn good job with this game. This is my review.

Graphics 9
The graphics in this game are amazing everything is beautifully designed such as your surroundings, enemies, weapons I can go on but you get the point. The only thing I can say that looks bad is the way the faces were designed they honestly don't look presentable but for 64 bit I can say that is only acceptable nothing more. Overall though The graphics are great.

Sound 10
The music is what I can say a masterpiece really. The music is so smooth I can feel the music honestly touching my soul and making my spirit move. You can tell Nintendo really focused on the music because each song in the game is introduced in perfect timing each music sets a different mood, like when you meet Princess Zelda it gives a song of peace and when you are fighting monsters it gives an action type music. It gives the right music each time and it gives the player the right mood at whatever situation the player is.

Addictivness 10
This game is highly addictive once you start it is hard to stop. There are so many things to do in this game because you are free to roam around the land of Hyrule and not only is there primary objectives there are also secondary objectives which gives the player the right to search the lands and really giving the player a challenge not only to beat all the objectives but also searching for items such as new weapons and power ups. This game offers a lot to do and will really give you an awesome adventure.

Story 10
The story is brilliant it is well structured and well thought. It is about an evil king named Ganondorf who wants to take over the triforce so he can rule Hyrule and eventually the world so it is up to Link ... Read the rest of this Review
